Believe it or not when am feeling down sometimes I do check and hope to see a new video from you as watching your videos do take the edge off and cheer me up, thanks Sebastian
Fico di Amalfi and Colonia Essenza for me. Fico is so juicy and fruity to me, a “cheerful” fragrance almost, but classy at the same time, just perfect for hot dry days. Essenza on the other hand has such a fresh, clean feel, it’s perfect for overcast, humid, rainy summer days.
While I’d never consider Colonia Intensa a true fresh fragrance I picked it because it gave me what I so desired from the TDH Eau Tres Fraiche. It has a lot more intensity and lasts hours in the brutal Malaysian heat while giving you those beautiful wafts of citrus, spices and a light leather in the base. A great fragrance for those looking for a solid and classy office scent to use in the tropics. Mirto Di Panarea is a great one as well and often overlooked among the other Blu Mediterreano fragrances. Very happy to see you give it such high regard. Thanks for your thoughts Sebastian.
Colonia Intensa! My absolute favourite from the house. I enjoy how the leather tones down the citrus a bit more and makes for such a clean and fresh but heavy smell. So calming and amazing
Great video! Thank you. I would also add Colonia Essenza. One of my personal favorites not just for the Acquia Di Parma line but of all time. I also think Pura is wonderful and I love Chinotto.
Hi Sebastian. Love your professional in depth reviews. I picked a sampler set of Blue Med from Acqua Di Parma. I must say it broke my heart. I loved them so much. The fruits and citrus notes are really amazing. But they disappeared from my skin so quickly. If they had the cliche “beast mode” performance, my fragrance journey would end lol 😂 but alas……
Great list Sebastian but I'm surprised you didn't pick Arancia di Capri, it's a citrus paradise for me. I do agree with your number one though, wonderful fragrance.
It overlaps with what I like on the list above. I think ADP creates a really luxurious fresh scent. But personally, I like the old version of Club better
Oh my goodness, I'm just finding this now, but AdiP 1916 Colonia and the BM Mandorlo di Sicilia were my gateway fragrances to enter into the world of scents about several years ago now. I adore the 1916 Colonia...it's so perfectly balanced, so much so, that I ventured out of my sweet-toothed predilections to have it. I also have the Ginepro di Sardinia, and a bottle of the Vaniglia. The Vaniglia has been sitting for about three years on my shelf and I never used it, because the powered note was too overwhelming for me. But now, magical transformations have happened: after that undisturbed maceration, the powdery heliotrope has lessoned and it's phenomenal!!
Bought the original Colonia this weekend. For me, it's a subtle blend echoing the best of Floris 89 and Penhaligon's Castile, but with its own twists like the rose notes. Subtle, classic, clean.
Love Fico di Amalfi! I have been wearing it a lot this summer. Have you tried the Arancia one? It smells like a burst of fresh orange juice. So so yummy and fresh and even exhilarating. Next on my wishlist is the bergamot one. Gorgeous as well👍🏻
I expected the Colonia Essenza ( to be high) on your list. For me Essenza is pure joy in my fragrance collection. I just have to smell that beautiful black bottle sometimes to make me happy. Such a great wearing experience with a very good longevity. Fresh, woody, balsamic Italian barbershop. It's so good. I really like Acqua di Parma as a brand. So many great ones. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Holland 🌷!
Thank you for your review. I live in Florida and wanted something different. This list intrigued me and I have purchased a few of your top items to try out!
I like the fact you are honest and talk about fragrances you don’t like. Gives a lot more credibility to your recommendations. 👍🏻 Great list. Fico Di Amalfi is a masterpiece. ADP has so many great scents, and they’re such a good deal when you buy them from discounters or second hand. 🙌🏻 Ps. +1 for Essenza. I had to give my bottle away since something in it gave me a headache (I’m sensitive to a particular note that a lot of fresh scents have), but the smell was absolutely beautiful. Italian millionaire in a bottle.
APD is my favorite house and already have 4 fragrances. Intensa is really a beautiful and complex fragrance but it is not fresh. I usually use it in summer nights like weddings. Fico is so beautiful and unique. Chinitto is also beautiful but I only have a sample. I also have sandalo and quercia which both I love
Sebastian, Fico di Amalfi is my favorite from this House. I do not know if it is still around, but one of my very favorites from this House is Essenza. A masculine fragrance that I have loved forever but do not know if they still make it. Some of the Aqua’s you mentioned, I still have and love and are the most Citrid, but Essenza to me was the most seductive and beautiful,
Sebastian, I think I will be in Italy with my L.A. son the same time this year as you will be,but on this trip, I will be exploring the Lago Como area, Bologna, Parma and Verona with two nights in Milano. To me, my most favorite part of Italy besides Rome. Florence and Sienna, are the beautiful towns in Sicily. If you will be in any of those areas in September. let me know as it would be very cool to meet up with you.
Love Fico de Amalfi also Colonia and Colonia Intensa, haven't tried many but those are my favorites from what I've smelled. I want to try CHINOTTO DI LIGURIA and MIRTO DI PANAREA also the oud one. Thanks for the list Sebastian!!!
Ginepro di Sardignia is my favorite. Mandorlo di Sicilia next, but it isnt as fresh. To me, Ferrari Uomo and Safran Colognise, walk the same line as Intensa
My fiancée bought some perfumes a couple years, and the supplier gave her a couple ADP samples with her. I tried the Fico Di Amalfi and never looked back. Been using it ever since, it just smells so good. Yesterday i ventured out and bought the Bergamotto Di Calabria - Also great, definitely more spicy than my boy Fico, but both are great. Definitely going to check out the entire blu medditerrano line.
Hey Sebastian, awesome vid👍 I am a huge fan of ADP fragrances... I do know that frags are subjective however these are my top 5 from the house. P. S your number 10 is my no. 1 lol... It's among my top signature frags for life... Probably among my top 5 signature scents for life. These are in order of my liking. 1. Colonia Intensa 2.colonia 3. Bergamotto di Calabria 4. Colonia Essenza 5. Colonia Futura
Fico is yummy. If you live in the states get this shower gel th-cam.com/video/mIZHzZNEF7c/w-d-xo.html and shower with it prior then spritz Fico Di Amalfi!! :)
Great video Sebastian, but I am surprised not see Colonia Pura on your list as it's one of my favorite from the Aqua Di Parma Colonia line. How different is the original Colonia from the Pura? By the way I too own the Fico Di Amalfi, which is a very nice but different take on fig fragrance.
Love the Colonia Futura!! A great modern version of Colonia. In terms of the blue series - Cedro di Taormina rocks it in hot days, with beast performance. Sadly, it got discontinued
I love your videos Sebastian! Really kick started my fragrance journey. Not a fan of Colonia Essenza? It's one of my absolute favorites. I've been using Bergamotto di Calabria and Essenza as staples for years.
Well I'm glad Intensa made the list at least. It's my favorite so far because all the rest seem to have too much pepper for my nose, I can't really identify anything else in the cologne. And living in Canada, the deep rich quality of Intensa goes well with our winters. My other favorite so far is Futura, and I have yet to try anything in your top 5, so I'll be adding those to my Scentbird list.
Adding my voice to the Essenza chorus! Definitely my favorite, but I alternate between that and the original throughout the summer. Definitely check it out. You bring up something interesting though with Oud, which leads to a suggestion for a fall video. I have a small sample bottle (including a really lux hinged box full of ruffly milk chocolate colored satin) that says it is Oud Colonia Intensa. It is (or rather was) amazing. Very fresh, very AdP take on Oud. Now there just seem to be an Oud from the single ingredient collection. The rep at Bloomingdale's says only the packaging changed. I bought a decant of it, and to me it is quite similar but 1) there is something lost as far as freshness goes and 2) it has what I can only describe as a "medicinal" note that I cannot place and do not like. I would love for you to investigate and compare/contrast these two if you still have the previous version.
@dgronsman I read your post, and was wondering if I could get your opinion. I've never sampled any ADP scents, and I'd like to blind buy one instead of buying samples first. I'm considering buying either the original Colonia from 1916, or the Essenza...I'm sure I'd like both, but is there a particular reason why you prefer the Essenza? Is it because of the scent itself? Does it perform better than the original? And finally, have you tried anything from the Mediterraneo Line? If so, is there one you like that doesn't fade in a half hour?... Thanks. 😊
I know everyone is saying Essenza and yes it's one of the best Acqua di Parmas but even I can't classify it as being in the list of Sebs top 10 'Fresh' ADPs. Arancia though is worth checking out if you like the fresh juicy mandarin orange smell.
I love Mirto di Panarea! I bought one in Hong Kong though I am kicking myself for not getting another Ginepro di Sardegna because the spritzer unfortunately jammed soon after that trip and they've discontinued that scent since. I was very upset.
Nice. Been looking at this house for a while. The only sample I managed to secure was Colonia Intensa. It took me a lil bit to like it. Its aight but not one I'd buy a full bottle of; maybe a bigger sample. It's ok with a white tee on and going somewhere sunny or just doing errands. Or a fresher after an evening shower. I missed out on an awesome opportunity to cop one of the official ADP samples of Mirto di Panarea and Colonia Pura. They still on my list to get, along with Bergamotto di Calabria, Arancia di Capri, Cipresso di Toscana and Chinotto di Liguria. These then Fico di Amalfi and I could try Yuzu.
Except one of the 'Colonia' bottles, I know all of them. I must say I'm not a fan of this brand, but Colonia C.L.U.B. and Bergamotto di Calabria are not bad. Also Arancia di Capri is decent, but I don't have any fragrance from this brand. Thank you for the video!
Hi Sebastian 👋. Thank you , like usually beautiful videos 📹. Keep your beautiful work but you didn't mention the longevity so which one is the longest lasting? And how long?
These are all very moderate. They perform similarly on me with the EDTs in blue bottle versus the EDC's. Maybe the EDTs are a bit better but very moderate. No beast mode here at least for me not! :)
I have watched your review on Quercia six years ago which is one my favorites from Adp I would like to know have tried the newer version in the black bottle and will review it
Try a bottle of cocchi rosee aperitivo next time you in a San Francisco liquor store!it might bring you back memories of Italy and if you do enjoy it try also cocchi americano,it’s the closest you can get to the kina lillet aperitif that was discontinued sometimes in the 80’s
Speaking of Monterey cypress, yes naturally they get big. But once you get a chance, go to the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate park in SF and ask to see the small, trained Monterey cypress. Think it's sitting by a waterfall somewhere in the center of the garden if memory serves. It truly is impressive once you realize they're the same tree!

Thanks Ginny. Always appreciate you stopping by to watch and comment on my videos! Have an excellent day! :)
Colonia Intensa! My absolute favourite from the house. I enjoy how the leather tones down the citrus a bit more and makes for such a clean and fresh but heavy smell. So calming and amazing
My favorite is Arancia Di Capri. Smells incredible to my nose.
Going to have to check it out soon!!
One of the most cheerful and informative fragrance channels out there on you tube... Much love from India 💕
Thank you very much! :)
Out of their large sample set I thought the original Colonia was the best so I was glad to see you rated it high at #3.
Great video! Thank you. I would also add Colonia Essenza. One of my personal favorites not just for the Acquia Di Parma line but of all time. I also think Pura is wonderful and I love Chinotto.
Arancia di Capri is a good one which I looked for in the orange video. I would recommend most of the blue bottles actually. Great content, as always!
I’ll try it!!
Great video Sebastian. Been waiting for you to do this video finally. Acqua Di Parma is one of my favorite houses.
I'm surprised that Colonia Essenza isn't on this list. It's my favourite after the original
AQUA DI PARMA COLONIA PURA IS AMAZING HOW IS THAT NOT ON TOP 10 ITS REALLY GOOD BRO

ADP pura is my favourite, has classy lemon tonic smell. Perfectly unisex also.

Great videos sebastian thanks am just becoming accquainted with the acqua di parma line
Fico di Amalfi is great for the hot weather and is my favorite.
It really is!
Obsessed with acqua di parma fico de amalfi. it's my summer staple...
Great house. I love the scents in the darker bottles too. Used to be brown now they are black. Oud is my favorite but love Fico as well.

@@ThePerfumeGuy you have to. Essenza is for me and a lot of people the best of their entire line. The sent is unreal

Colonia Futura is my favourite, that herbal pops so much

Nice. Been looking at this house for a while. The only sample I managed to secure was Colonia Intensa. It took me a lil bit to like it. Blind bought fico di amalfi, it's quite citrusy rather than a green fig that I was expecting it to be.
I think it's more fruit than the green leaves at least to me. A combo of fruits and citrus! :)
I love the Fico and Mirto fragrances. Not as keen on Cipresso. Looking forward to buying the Bergamot.
Awesome! Thank you for stopping by! :)
I love Acqua di Parma in general. In the blue bottles I love Bergamotto di Calabria layered with Arancia di Capri. I also love Mandolro di Sicilia.
