I'VE GOT REALY PANIC AFTER HEARING HIS SINGING, AND DIDN'T PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION. BY THE WAY BIJU WON THE 2ND PRIZE. FORGET THE FIRST PRIZE WINNER'S NAME. BELEIVE IT WAS IN 1994.
Yes,first winner was Rajesh from NSS college Changanacherry.I still don't know how Biju got second.He should have had first.I was there for Malayalam recitation.No whereabouts of that Rajesh.

Actually, Yesudas is not the problem. Biju was done by our good friend M.G. Sreekumar (who voice is terrible). But, is there thanks to his political connections, also Mohanlal and Priyadarshan. Very sad, but, Biju is a good singer, completely sidelined.
