First, let me say that Kevin is just flat-out the coolest dude in Mexico. Second, I'm glad they made this video, because sometimes we get the impression that moving abroad is one big vacation, everyday, all day. In reality, it's just...living. Life is "boring", but in a good way. I think if we had this notion that going to Mexico, for example, would solve all our problems and we would be eternally happy and then when we get there, we realize nothing has changed but the location, we might try to poo poo on Mexico and not realize WE are the issue. So I'm glad they showed regular people living regular life. That to me is more realistic and gives a better sense of what I would also be doing if I move there.
Wherever you go there you are. Moving to Mexico just gets down to your desire for a healthier, happier and much more affordable quality of life while doing the same things wherever you go..... It's a sunny 75 and I just got home from a quick surf and a jog on the beach. The waves were small but the water was refreshing. The best part is that while I was out walking around my neighborhood, I ate lunch and picked up some freshly harvested organic no GMO produce along with some fresh baked tortillas and every one I encountered or just passed by smiled at me and said "Buenas dias!" Avocados cost around $0.40us and the mangos for breakfast were around $0.35us each. The morning caught fish tacos con todo for lunch were $27mx or around $1.40us each and a liter of just squeezed fruit juice was around $2.00us... I am now outside in my hammock on my palm frond covered patio that overlooks the ocean that also has a view of the beautiful city lights at night. As I slowly start to doze off for a short siesta with my already sleeping cat curled up in my lap, I can barely hear the muffled sounds of mariachi music coming from the harbor malecon off in the distance. How nice to do practically nothing all day and afterwards to rest. Buenas suerte!
Loving your videos as first gen Mexican Americans living and exploring Mexico! I'm first gen Cuban American and not able to access Cuba very easily, but dream of expanding my horizons * And sending chronic illness love and solidarity❤🩹 Keep being kind to yourself and taking good care💗 Que toman un cafecito pa mi!
@@salvador9288 Hola Savador! Fruit, veggies and basically all food is much more affordable in Mexico. For example avocados run about $0.40us and delicious street tacos will set you back for a few dollars. I'm a regular at place that's a short walk from me and specializes in al pastor (Marinated pork on a vertical fired spit) and bife (steak) . The al pastor tacos con todo cost $14 pesos or around $0.70us each! Mmmmm! Buenas suerte!
Fibromyalgia can be from mold exposure that happened long ago from living in a water damaged building, mold is usually hidden behind walls, can be non-obvious to smell/detect, and can also affect some people more. There is a mycotoxin antibody test that can be done with mymycolab to make sure this is not the root cause of your health issues. Best wishes.
I myself been deeply affected from mold. Most doctors are not trained for it. What helps me most is Heiltropfen micronized zeolite powder every morning. For depression real saffron tea works, they say better than SSRI. I think these would help as they have many benefits.
@@EatBailaTravel As far as I know yes but I'd take the kind of zeolite mentioned above asap and see if it does something even before any test. Break the mold by Jill Crista (she also has a youtube) gives the specifics of the natural approach to heal this, that + the zeolite is what I'm doing and it helps. Among other things she says take flax seed powder twice a day with meals (natural binder). The allopathic approach (sporanox) gave me side effects and I stopped. For details on this mymycolab has Dr. Campbell speaking on youtube. Anyways zeolite purifies you from more than just mold.
I love day-in-the-life videos! It's good to remind people that every day isn't a vacation when you live somewhere, and if you are on vacation it isn't a bad idea to take one day to relax and discover your neighborhood. I hope that all that you are doing for yourself, Jenny, will make a big difference for you❣
Feliz día de la independencia, chicos! 🇲🇽 Love seeing how you navigate your lives as you’re living abroad. I’m also in Coyoacán and love it so much. It’s fun, beautiful, has everything and I see very few gringos unless I go to the center!
Your video is not boring at all. It wasn’t too long and didn’t drag on with meaningless content. I think you did a great job sharing your Tuesday with us, in such an encouraging way. I love Mx City! You did great in caring for yourself & taking the day, one spoonful at a time. Thank you!
Thank you for this very personal video. It was great to see your routine. I love that Kevin is tree hugger. Jenny thanks for sharing so much of your struggle with your health. You and Kevin are both lucky to have each other ❤
What's up J & K! Proud Chicano here with familia in Mexico D.F. I want to say thank you. This is one of my favorite channels. It's like a guide on reconnecting with our Mexican roots and living there one day. Jenny, I hope you feel better. Kevin, thank you for the tips that park looks beautiful. Your love for travel, history, and culture shows. Here's to reaching 100k+ subs soon! Salud!
Hi Jenny and Kevin! Thank you for the wonderful authentic video, thank you Kevin for sharing your tree routine, thank you Jenny for sharing your struggles with fibromyalgia hoping the remedies will help you. I myself have suffered most of my life with chronic fatigue, very low energy specially when I wake up that I really have to force my body to start my day, de pequeno me decian que era flojera 😿but at least I don't have much of the pains you deal with. The times that I have asked my doctors they have never really given me a diagnose, your video inspires me to bring up this subject again to my doctor since culturally and unfortunately some of us don't tend to seek help. Looking forward to more of Eat Baila Travel content.
Hola amigo, im sorry to hear you face a similar struggle. And from such a young age. I often feel like my youthful years of energy are being stolen from me, but I’m working on feeling less angry and more compassionate with myself. I think chronic fatigue syndrome is starting to see a turning point in the medical world, now being called by its scientific name myalgic encephalomyelitis. You should see a rheumatologist if you haven’t already. They are more specially trained for these types of things. Please advocate for yourself 🙏🏽 ✨
I struggled for yearssssss with a chronic illness and after doctors had no answers other than d medications I have spent the last 8 + yrs figuring out healing my body and one thing I found is food plays the biggest role in that! Eliminating gluten, dairy, and sugar the big 3 culprits of inflammation was the biggest needle mover and with fibromyalgia I promise if you eliminate inflammatory foods you will feel like a new person!! Second biggest needle mover is sleep, studies are endless on how your body repairs itself when you sleep being that close to a major hwy and not sleeping well is going to play a huge role in how your body feels for better or worse, I would invest in a migraine sleep mask that covers your eyes and ears and a good speaker to play white noise so you can recover your sleep quality too ❤❤❤ hope this cliff notes version of what took me 8 years to learn, implement, and fully heal my body and be free of medications can help you too 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Yes! I can attest to this. Your gut health is a huge contributing factor. Eliminate sugar (also processed food/carbs), gluten, dairy. Add probiotics, such as fermented cabbage, or other fermented foods. You’ll notice the difference within a month! Happy Tuesday!
Thank you both so much for mentioning this. I feel like I've started moving in this direction but haven't quite found the "sweet spot" so I "fall off wagon" and get flustered about what I should or shouldn't be eating. I needed this nudge to regroup and make a new plan. Thank you!! 🙏
Kevin is a tree-hugger! Who would have guessed? Thanks for showing us a normal day in your life. You are a most-amazing couple and I wish you all the best, especially that Jenny gets well again!
I loved this video with all the details of your daily life. The detail on the quesadillas (sin queso - it's CDMX) was great. Glad to get an update on Jenny's health - sorry for the ongoing struggle. Thanks for continuing to produce content in the midst of a daily uphill battle.
Thanks so much, David. There are good days and there are tough days. This was a tough day. We typically do not film anything on days like this because we like to bring a more positive type of energy to our videos, but I'm glad you appreciate this one ❤
I love day in the life vlogs and especially enjoyed the two POVs! Kevin, I too am a tree hugger lol one of my favorite ways to connect with nature! Great video guys!! Saludos de Chicago! ❤️
Nice video. I tend to avoid big cities when I go traveling. But after seeing Kevin visit the nice park and Jenny visit the small neighborhood market, I just might visit Mexico city. Jenny, I know it takes a lot of energy to make a video, so thank you for taking the time to make this and edit it and share your life.
Thanks for sharing you two:) loved the daily realness of this video. And don’t listen to those doctors. Your positivity can make a big difference for you ❤
Kevin and Jenny, I have not seen your channel for a while not because I stopped liking it but because I have been overwhelmed with things life has brought me. One thing that came to me is a diagnosis of CIDP. I have been learning to live with it, keep a positive attitude, and focus on what I can still do. I retired last December and could finally afford to have my vintage motorcycle undergo a complete mechanical restoration which turned out great. Unfortunately, I had to face the truth that I have no business getting on a motorcycle and won't be going on those weekend rides. I walk with a cane and need a mid-day rest in order to get through the rest of the day. Sometimes, I am about to fall out of my chair at dinner but I don't let anyone see that. I commend you for educating others about Fibromyalgia and showing that one must adapt and follow sound medical advice. Just remember that as long as you can give and receive love, you still have the greatest thing of all. I have cut way back on alcohol but must admit I am sipping some Pinot Noir right now. Last thing: I have heard good things about Merida and my Salvadoran wife and I are planning a trip there so I am going to look for a Merida video by you guys. I find you inspiring in your adventurous lives. Vaya con Dios!
Hi Stephen, wow, I’m sorry to hear about the challenges you live with. I see some overlap in our symptoms. 😣 I try to stay positive too, but I often also feel angry, like my youthful energetic years were stolen from me. I started with these symptoms at age 24. Staying focused on what I can still do instead of what I can’t sounds like a great approach. I will try that more often. Thank you for sharing. I’m glad we can both inspire each other 🙏🏽❤️🩹 wishing you more good days than bad days ✨🫶🏼
I've also got an inflammatory disease and understand the extreme fatigue. I've finally gotten a diagnosis and it really affects our quality of life. Youre not alone. Un abrazo!💙
I struggled for a year before getting a diagnosis. These types of diagnoses are so hard to make. I hope you are getting good guidance now that you have a diagnosis 🙏🏽✨ that’s a big step 🫂 hug right back!
Ahhhh hey fellow chicagoan!!! The food at the market looks so delicious!!! Ahh fresh fruits and vegetables make my soul happy. I'll be visiting CMDX soon and wanted to see how it is, glad I came across this video. But I hope you continue to get better, stay strong, stay positive and stay happy as much as you can. Allow yourself to be and take it one day at a time 💙💙
Hey girl! Love hearing from our city 😊🫶🏽 thanks so much for the love and kind words. Some days are better than others, and some not so much, but your words were extra well-received today. ❤️❤️❤️ I hope you have an amazing visit to CDMX!
Thank you for sharing your journey with fibromyalgia, thanks to you doing so I was able to figure out I had been suffering with it for the past year and a half, and started my journey to find the right meds for me about six months ago along with my Dr. 💜
Hey girl, I'm so glad to hear things are moving in a helpful direction for you! It can be so frustrating and confusing living with things like this. Having a helpful doctor is so key. I pray you continue to find answers and relief 🙏🏽❤️
I recently saw the "Grounding" documentary and discovered its benefits, and products like grounding mats for people who work in doors lots of time... may help with the inflammation and low energy :)
Your lives are a mirror image to our lives. So many things. Same health issues. Same meds and food, stones, even some of the same household items and supporting partner Lol. The only thing is we are moving to Mexico in the next year, not there yet. The change for me was following advice from a tik tok naturopath lol, I know. I was that desperate to have my life back. I'm not selling just telling you what worked for me. Adrenal cocktail from jigsaw. Organic beef liver capsules got mine from Higher Health in Canada. All my symptoms left within a few days. Also sugar gluten dairy free. Such a pain but way better than suffering. Wishing you many healings.
Sorry to hear about your illness. I would suggest looking into “grounding” also known as “earthing”. It’s supposed to drastically reduce inflammation. All you have to do is be barefoot on grass/dirt/sand outside. Some people are skeptical about it, but it’s worth a try especially for someone in your situation. You can even get a grounding mat that you can sleep on to do it while you sleep. Just make sure to do your research first. Hope that helps :)
Yess I’ve started to incorporate grounding little by little. The bracelet made of stones, sitting at my favorite tree, walking barefoot on the grass, on the sand, swimming, etc. Getting a grounding mat sounds like a good next step. Thanks for your comment 😊
I think I requested this video! Thank you for speaking out about your health issues. I hope to see more videos related to your health and the medical system in Mexico. Would be very interesting for those of us w/ health issues who may be looking to travel. Last year I went to Puerto Vallarta for medical care. It was a fun experience but very expensive. Would be interested in knowing more about the medical system in MX. Hope you feel better🙏
Did you?? Aw 🥰 we have a playlist on our channel called “health and wellness while traveling”, in case you haven’t seen it there might be some videos of interest there 🙂 I saw a great doctor in PV once, but yes, quite expensive. I’m happy to share more about health in Mexico 🇲🇽 glad you enjoy this type of content 🙏🏽 saludos
I have chronic issues too (Ehlers Danlos syndrome and Pots. Alot of chronic fatigue and joint pain). I find that wearing good shoes around the house helps (I noticed you were wearing flip flops, that’s why I mentioned it). Very cute to see Kevin at work 😊 I hope all that you’ve been doing gives you some relief Jenny ❤
Jenny I started having problems with my joints in my fourtys I'm fiffty eight now so Icant understand what living with pain every day can be like and your right what we eat on a daily basis makes a difference. Try eating green lentils once or twice a week as a side dish or soup and I've found eating Millett works as well and being a Diabetic they both help with my blood sugar levels. Hope these help a little ❤
Great Video! Hey have you try a Gluten free diet and see if that help? is not a cure but gluten does seem to cause inflamation and stiffness to flair up and I felt a lot better once I did a gluten free diet. Anyways hope you feel better and keep up the great videos guys!
I've done keto and saw some results but I can't do that longterm. But it's good that you mention this because it's a reminder to get back to a low-carb lifestyle. I'm going to look into going gluten-free, at least as a transition. Thanks!
My love! I’m so sorry to hear about your chronic illnesses (this video literally popped into my feed randomly). I’m sure you’re so sick of people giving you health advice 😅 But fibromyalgia and chronic pain in the body is simply emotional imbalance or trauma that has manifested itself physically. I work with an amazing nervous system coach and we re-patterned my emotional body to heal 90% of these issues in my body (diet and nutrition doesn’t make much of a difference if you don’t target the emotional body first). The other 10% was regular deep tissue massage/bodywork to bring blood flow to all the tissues. If you would like the contact to my nervous system coach I would be happy to share. Besos!
I am absolutely not tired of the advice from random people! It does get overwhelming and confusing, but I know the answer is out there somewhere. So first, thank you. Second, I appreciate you. Third, yes, please I would love the contact info for your nervous system coach. Feel free to message me on IG or email if you prefer. @eatbailatravel or eatbailatravel@gmail.com
$1,100 a month is cheaper than what I paid 1.5 weeks for my airbnb last year when I stayed in polanco!! That's what I would be paying for a studio in Phoenix AZ!
Whoa!! I get that you stayed in a furnished place in a higher-end neighborhood but geeez that's a lot. We've always been frugal so we're easily sticker-shocked lol.
I suffer from chronic fatigue and fibro and have for many decades. The only reliable way I found to get and stay on top of it (put it into remission) was via dietary changes (which it looks like you are doing) and Intermittent Fasting. I know it seems counterintuitive but the IF really keeps my energy levels much higher,, inflammation down and brain fog clear. I slowly worked down from an 8 hour eating window to about a 4 hour eating window which is one snack and one meal a day. I played around with a smaller eating window but this is what seems to work best for me. If you look up intermittent fasting and cellular autophagy you will find what I think is the key mechanism that makes it effective for many. BTW, the onset of my CF and Fibro coincided with a vaccine I received in college in the late 90s....so knowing I may have mitochondrial challenges I do not take any vaccines now.
First, I'm sorry you also struggle with these things. Second, I'm glad you brought these up! I've experimented with fasting and my body responds positively. I intermittent fast most days but the dietary changes have been the more challenging to maintain for me. I go through periods where my diet is excellent and then I'll fall off. I like to think I eat just a bit healthier than average, but haven't reached a level my body requires to truly heal. So I'm working on that. I appreciate you sharing! Reminds me to keep working towards progress to know that there are others out there who see results.
I have chronic fatigue and pretty sure i have fibromyalgia as well, i have other autoimmune conditions and just recently found out im severely vitamin d deficient, you should get your vitamin d levels checked, I know when mine are higher all symptoms will be relieved. 🙂
I try not to sleep with my phone near me. Trying to reduce my EMF exposure. But I appreciate the thought! Maybe I can put it on a timer across the room, not so close to me.
¡Buenas tardes desde Michoacán! Love your video. It inspired me to pay attention to my own health and dig in to the greens we’ve been growing-in mixto de lechugas, chard, espinacas and what everyone here calls quelites. It also made me wonder-at some point would you be able to grow some of your own greens? Or maybe you already do? Given you love your plant babies plus eat spinach and quelites. I started growing greens and it’s pretty easy where we live and I suspect much of Mexico. Anyways, just a thought. Keep up your guys’ great content and healing journey!
That sounds like a great idea 🪴 for our future home in Oaxaca 😊 it's a bit challenging to do in an apartment in Mexico City, but I love the idea of growing more of my own greens. Thanks for the love, Catharine 🫶🏽 and yes, may we all keep making progress on our healing journeys 🙏🏽
I knew two women with fibromyalgia. One was in an auto accident somewhere around age 30 and the symptoms started within hours of the accident and remained with her until she died at 64. The other already had it by age 26. I don't know of a specific event but she already had Crohn's disease and had suffered several incidents of domestic violence.
Yess fibromyalgia is usually triggered by trauma, physical or psychological. I was diagnosed with PTSD the same year I started with fibro symptoms, unsurprisingly. And 90-95% of fibromyalgia cases are in women.
10:57 OK, I thought it was just me! I was in QRO and went to a place that had a sign out front for Quesadillas. It was my first (and so far, only trip) to Mexico, and I was like, "I know what THAT is! I'll go eat there!" I placed the order using the little Spanish I know and when I said something about Cheese (Queso), the lady replied that they don't have cheese. I was like, But, isn't "Queso" in the name of the food itself? I was confused. But the food that they gave me was absolutely delicious, so no complaints!
This happened in Queretaro?? I’m shocked because this is known to be a Mexico City thing! For some reason the word “quesadilla” translates to a long folded tortilla with some sort of food in it. Not automatically cheese 😆 some sources say it has to do with a native language influence, while other sources have debunked that theory. It’s really not clear why that happened lol
@EatBailaTravel 😆 I thought it was saying Cheese-adilla! 😆 But ANYWAY... Yes, it was at a little hole in the wall place across from one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. There were two ladies inside working this grill looking thing and even though I didn't get my "cheese-adilla", the food I ended up with was SO good! I tried to go back early that following Sunday but it was closed.
I suffered a lot with hypothyroid and muscle pain/fibro, also celiac and a few other issues. The fatigue and pain is real! But what most don’t realize is how high oxalate plants and carbs can be the root cause for many of us. You may wanna try a 30 day strict ketogenic diet and or carnivore type eating plan just to see if it helps with your symptoms. It’s helping me incredibly and worth a trial- of course we are all different but just google keto and fibro or carnivore fibromyalgia and you can see how many others are finding relief. Wish you all the best!
You’re not first to recommend the carnivore diet, and the more people mention it the more intrigued I am. I just started looking into it. I’ve tried keto and saw results but it was tough to keep up after a couple of months. Keto works when we do it together but Kevin’s body did not respond well to keto and doing it by myself would be extra hard. Have you tried the carnivore diet?
@@EatBailaTravel Yes I’ve been doing it for last 7 weeks- kind of ketovore since I still have around 10-15 g carbs but not from veggies or fruit, just things like eggs, coffee, and sometimes some keto chocolate. Keto is a good transition to carnivore but honestly, carnivore is way easier and I feel SO much better without any veg or fruit. I was undereating especially protein and fat. Now I’m eating lots of red meat and eggs, and my body feels satiated with no cravings at all. Stopping all allergens or issues with plant toxins gives the body time to rest, and then if you add something back it will be more clear if it’s okay for you or not. I still eat dairy but will phase that out soon I think. Some good TH-camrs are Dr Ken Berry, Homesteadhow, and dr Chaffee. Also “no carb life” for interviews. I think it’s the easiest way to eat! And does the fastest healing.
I’m going to Mexico City for the first time. Any tips on a good car rental agency or contact person, I keep reading so many bad reviews. Or alternatively a good taxi service you recommend? Thank you so much for all you do and all the resources you provide.
Thank you for your videos! They’re part of the reason I also decided to leave the U.S. and come back to Mexico. Been here 3 months and I don’t want to go back. Una preguntita, en donde encontraste trabajo Kevin? Any tips of websites where we can look. We’ve been having such a hard time with that. Also looking for remote work.
hola! Kevin heard about the job opportunity from a friend and applied. We don't have personal experience with these but you could try looking on remote.co/ and www.workingnomads.com/jobs. All the best!
Environment may be factor. CDMX is know for air pollution. Were there fibro symptoms before the move to CDMX? Did Jenny observe any differences when in the DR? saludos
I'm so glad you brought this up! I've had fibromyalgia symptoms for the last 6 years, so long before moving to Mexico or Mexico City. My symptoms do tend to worsen in extreme climates (e.g. winters in Chicago, spring/summer in Merida, Yucatan). The year we've lived in Mexico City has been one of the most challenging since my symptoms began. CDMX has a more temperate climate but winters do get colder. My doctor agrees that the high altitude and high pollution of the city can contribute to the worsening of my symptoms. The few days I spent in the Dominican Republic (to and from CDMX), I noticed how much the tension in my muscles went down. The fatigue was still challenging, but I ached less and breathed easier. Definitely a sign that I need to live at sea-level by the ocean.
Just a tip…you might want to cut back on the caffeine..Its’s very inflammatory for the body…Maybe try Chai..especially Chai lattes…still has caffeine…but less than coffee..Continued prayers for healing to you!❤️🫶🏼❤️🫶🏼🇲🇽
My rheumatologist also told me to try to limit coffee hehe. I like to have a morning cup of coffee, it's more of a comforting ritual than a source of energy. And actually, I haven't really mentioned this but I took an epigenetic hair strand test that told me what foods I have sensitivities to. Black tea was one I was advised to avoid. I do really like a nice chai but they're usually black tea based!
I work for a small private construction company based out of Texas. I do contractor scheduling and I was referred to this job by a friend. They don’t care where I am as long as I do my job well 🙂
Jenny ,it might be what your eating , carbs are bad if eating a lot , and vegetable and seed oils are bad , try a high protein diet , mostly meat and butter as your oil , do some research
Yes carnivore diet helps! - the ultimate elimination diet. And when you add some foods back if you want to, you can ascertain if they are causing any issues.
I do need to do something about my carb intake. I have a hard time keep carbs under control. I can do keto for a month, and then I'll have pan dulce every night for a month 😅 I need to figure this one out lol.
Saludos de Indianapolis, indiana im thinking of opening a bank account in mexico. Can you recommend one and why you would prefer it over others such as more convenient locations or lower fees
We have BBVA and have no major complaints. It was recommended to us by family in Mexico because they have some of the most advanced technology and apps for navigating your account. Our only complaint is that they tried to require us to have a life insurance policy with them that would be automatically deducted from our account and we gave in just to create the account because they said we'd be able to cancel in a few months. We went back in to cancel and they said it was cancelled but they continued to charge us. If they try to require the same from you, just go to a different location. We've told other BBVA locations about this and they said that should not have happened. I've heard worse stories from people at Santander, HSBC, etc.
Hi, Mexican American entrepreneurial specific vlogs/youtube channels, no I don’t know of any. But I do have a couple newsletters I can happily recommend! They’re both written by Mexican American entrepreneurs who live in Mexico City 🇲🇽😊 - POCHO Stuff (visit pochosocialite.com to sign up) - CDMX IYKYK (sign up at cdmx-iykyk.beehiiv.com)
Matthew 8:14 Jesus Heals Many People 14 When Jesus went to Peter’s house, He saw that Peter’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever. 15 Jesus touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she stood up and began to serve Jesus. 16 That evening people brought to Jesus many who had demons. Jesus spoke and the demons left them, and He healed all the sick. 17 He did these things to bring about what Isaiah the prophet had said: “He took our suffering on Him and carried our diseases.” Isaiah 53:4 Hola! Yo estoy diagnosticada con fibromialgia y fatiga crónica. La oración me ha ayudado grandemente!! Ya no tomo medicamentos!! TODA LA GLORIA Y HONRA PARA NUESTRO BENDITO PADRE CELESTIAL CRISTO JESÚS DE NAZARETH REY Y SEÑOR 🙌🕊❤ JESÚS NO ES UNA RELIGIÓN Juan 14:6 6 Jesús le dijo: Yo Soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por Mí. Te mantendré en mis oraciones. MAY JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH BLESS YOU BOTH 🙏
@@EatBailaTravel mercury toxicity is a common source of health problems. I had one 'silver' filling replaced a few years ago. A simple detox methods is cilantro. I make cilantro smoothies, and feel better
Oh yes! I've experimented with fasting and my body responds pretty well to it. I intermittent fast pretty regularly and will do a 24-48 hour fast every now and then (I was doing once a month for some time) and it helps to reset my digestive system. I'm also working on cutting down on meat and sugar. Sugar is the toughest for me! I have such a sweet tooth..
And please don't eat artificial coloring That will give you inflammation also MSG sister I see how you suffer and that makes me sad and I suffer with you so you're doing everything right except those things try to make sure everything is color free an aluminum free life May Yahweh bless you guys your brother from Chicago Diego
Yes absolutely I am careful to stay away from artificial food coloring and certain chemical ingredients. Really I am trying to focus on eating whole foods only. The times I may slip up are when eating out at restaurants since I don't know exactly the ingredients they are using.
Living in mexico city is so much better in todays times. Mexico aint letting so many other immigrants, indians, arabs, africans, etc. Look at Italy, their capital is so run down these days. Poland is the only European country keeping there country pure.
Autoimmune disorders will be made worse by Covid (which is still with us) infections and the damage is cumulative with each subsequent infection. Sadly, Mexico hasn’t kept up with updated vaccines (Novavax is best) but they don’t prevent infections at a high rate. Masking is great because it protects against C 1 9 and against the harm that air pollution causes as well. Hope you have more good days than bad.
I’ve never tested positive for Covid not have I ever had symptoms 👀 weird because Kevin did. We both got vaccinated with the booster shot back in 2021. Haven’t gotten the new one but I’m not sure I will. I know people who struggle with long covid, it stinks
@@EatBailaTravel Yep, LC really does stink! Glad you’ve never tested positive (about 40% of infections are asymptomatic which feels so sneaky). I’m totally with you on the mRNA vaccines. Bad side effects for me. Novavax is for immunocompromised btw with almost no side effects. But it’s not in Mex. I really appreciate your content. The “boring” daily life vids are my fave tbh
Hi Jenny, thank you for sharing. I, like you, was diagnosed w/ fibromyalgia, & while I do not have CFS, my mom does & I know how debilitating it can be. You probably don’t know this yet, but meditating, yoga, the “mal de ojo”/ tiger eye bracelet you purchased, are avenues for demons to keep you in bondage. I’m telling you because I’ve been in your shoes. I wouldn’t be surprised if you also experience sleep paralysis, anxiety, depression-those were the “normals” in my life when I was doing yoga/wearing those kinds of bracelets. If you truly want to be healed & set free, I exhort you to seek out Jesus Christ wholeheartedly & let go of those things… I’m not saying stretching is bad, but it becomes a form of idol/demon worshiping when “doing yoga” becomes the motive. Instead of having fybro flare ups on a daily/weekly basis, I now get flare ups maybe a few times a year. I share this from the bottom of my heart, and know that only Jesus Christ can heal you!! 🤍🙏🏼
@@EatBailaTravel I’m glad you ask! By reading and studying the Word of God, the Bible! Not only will you gain knowledge, wisdom, and know the truth, but you’ll also get to know your Creator! 🙌🏼
OMG..... No 5:24. that is a horrible way to make the bed. That is the Gringo way. My mom would have hit me with el sinto already if I did that to my bed,
It's amazing how lazy women can become. I've seen people that fake back acke so that others will do all of the work for them. Proof is that she magically had energy for "girls trip" to the DR.
Jesus mercy Alpha... that was VERY insensitive of you to say something so horrible!! Can you not clearly see the poor young lady is suffering tremendously, and is trying EVERYTHING to remedy her physical and mental ailments? I mean she got up and stretched for a few minutes, made a cup of coffee just because it's routine and looks n smells pretty even though she won't drink it, went and sat by her favorite tree, watered and talked to her plants, and then the best of all......bought a bracelet with certain stones to fend off further pain and suffering!! So you see just how much she went thru and you still had the lack of respect to make that rude comment....how dare you!! Thought I'd feel bad for Kevin needing to deal with this, but seeing him hugging a damn favorite tree changed my mind on that and he's actually perfect for her. 2 soft as they come cupcakes who give Berwyn/Cicero a bad name. Jenny, you may have some issues going on....but if you think all that crap mentioned above is helping you even a little then all you are doing is mind f*cking yourself and have become a weakling. Time to toughen up mentally!!
Hahaha well, Mr. “AlphaMale”, let me tell you that going on that trip was actually quite difficult for me. I’m living with these challenges but I’m still trying to find a way to enjoy my life. I went to an all-inclusive resort and did not consume a single drop of alcohol (because that adds to the inflammation in my body) and I went to bed earlier than all the other girls I was with. I have very kind and considerate friends who supported making accommodations for me so I could still be a part of the experience.
And you, @cwrcwr7432 you made me laugh because I thought I was sensing empathy and compassion in your comment but then I got to the end and you did a total 180 😂 I appreciate that you’re trying to be helpful even though you managed to be offensive at the same time. And for the record, I’m not mentally weak. I have PTSD. I’ve been through some shit in my life that caused real physical changes to how my brain and nervous system function. They literally malfunction. I am working on the mental part and accumulating all the forces I can to fix what is broken. So in your own words… how dare you! 😂
This is poetry 😍 🥰🌴🌊
Loving your videos as first gen Mexican Americans living and exploring Mexico! @@EatBailaTravel😮 ¿En Estados Unidos la fruta es más cara?
Por cierto ese parque Acacias se ve agradable.
Sí más cara y menos rica 🙁
Fibromyalgia can be from mold exposure that happened long ago from living in a water damaged building, mold is usually hidden behind walls, can be non-obvious to smell/detect, and can also affect some people more. There is a mycotoxin antibody test that can be done with mymycolab to make sure this is not the root cause of your health issues. Best wishes.
I myself been deeply affected from mold. Most doctors are not trained for it. What helps me most is Heiltropfen micronized zeolite powder every morning. For depression real saffron tea works, they say better than SSRI. I think these would help as they have many benefits.
That sounds like it could be worth looking into, but ouch, $380 USD? is that the most recommended test?
I hope that all that you are doing for yourself, Jenny, will make a big difference for you❣
Thanks so much, Cindy! We hope you are doing well 💖
Feliz día de la independencia, chicos! 🇲🇽 Love seeing how you navigate your lives as you’re living abroad. I’m also in Coyoacán and love it so much. It’s fun, beautiful, has everything and I see very few gringos unless I go to the center!
hola vecina! Love Coyoacan! We feel lucky to have it as our 'backyard'
Your video is not boring at all. It wasn’t too long and didn’t drag on with meaningless content. I think you did a great job sharing your Tuesday with us, in such an encouraging way. I love Mx City! You did great in caring for yourself & taking the day, one spoonful at a time. Thank you!
Thanks, love. I appreciate it!
Your videos make me so happy. Sitting here at my desk, starting my day on a Sunday, drinking my coffee. Saludos from Dallas!
Sounds like a great morning 😊☀️☕️ I hope you had a wonderful weekend and start to your week 🫶🏻
Thank you for this very personal video. It was great to see your routine. I love that Kevin is tree hugger. Jenny thanks for sharing so much of your struggle with your health. You and Kevin are both lucky to have each other ❤

My girlfriend has been prescribed Provigil and she loves it. She only takes it on occasion to deal with chronic fatigue and she says it does wonders
Thanks for mentioning it! I will look into it 🙏🏽
I love that you have mentioned to take an early nature time, México offers that, enjoy it.
One of the reasons we moved here! Access to nature all year round. Chicago winters would make that challenging.
Thanks guys! Great video as always! Saludos de Texcoco, Mexico!

Thank you!! 🙏
You should try and do constelaciones familiares. It will definitely help with your illness. ❤
I really should. I started seeing a therapist who was knowledgeable in this and then I fell off. I'm sure I still have the contact somewhere.

I appreciate you making note of that ❤ thank you
Mexico City is a city to be appreciated in small doses. Go to Coyoacan
Thanks for sharing you two:) loved the daily realness of this video. And don’t listen to those doctors. Your positivity can make a big difference for you ❤
Thanks for your support 🫶🏻🙂 glad you enjoyed the vlog
Anyone that suffers from CIDP should really quit drinking any type of alcohol. Just saying...

Wow, okay thanks for sharing! I've made note and will consider doing the same. If it worked for you, it could work for me. Thanks so much!
Invisible nopales… my 2nd favorite kind of nopales! 🌵
😆😂😂 I appreciate this sense of humor very much hahaha
Saludos, feel better Jenny.
Gracias, amigo 🙏🏽 saludos
Great video - like always!
Gracias, Karolina!

Hope these help a little ❤
Does the color of the lentils matter much? The ones I usually eat are the beige/brownish kind 😁
For the night road noise, try a white noise app on your phone. That helped me when I lived in Manhattan.

Así es.. pero pronto se irán las nubes 🌤️🌈☀️
Aw nah, not Dr. Simi!🤣
Mexico’s friendliest drug dealer 😂
I appreciate all the tips, thank you so much! ☺️
@@EatBailaTravel 💗🙏 praying for you to find healing- it will happen!!

My onset of symptoms was in my late 30s. Doctors did not help me and some of the meds they had me try made me worse.
Most doctors still know very little about how to treat fibro and CF, unfortunately
Kevin, what do you do for remote work in Mexico City? How were you able to find this job and working in another country?
I work for a small private construction company based out of Texas. I do contractor scheduling and I was referred to this job by a friend. They don’t care where I am as long as I do my job well 🙂
@@EatBailaTravel Thank you Kevin! Will look into it
Happy independence
🇲🇽🥳

Any good vlogs that you know of where there are Mexican American entrepreneurs in Mexico City?
Hi, Mexican American entrepreneurial specific vlogs/youtube channels, no I don’t know of any. But I do have a couple newsletters I can happily recommend! They’re both written by Mexican American entrepreneurs who live in Mexico City 🇲🇽😊

Yeah, too early tortillas in Chicago but with a lot of preservatives, that’s not good bro. 😂
No preservatives when they’re from a tortillería! 😁 which we were lucky to have in Cicero and little village Chicago
Jenny, is somatic exercising helping you at all?
I’ve tried it a few times and enjoyed it. Maybe if I was more consistent it would have a better impact
@@EatBailaTravel Yes, consistency is key. Try looking into Feldenkrais too. For SE, look into Peter Levine's work. Good luck.
Matthew 8:14
Jesus Heals Many People
14 When Jesus went to Peter’s house, He saw that Peter’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever. 15 Jesus touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she stood up and began to serve Jesus.
16 That evening people brought to Jesus many who had demons. Jesus spoke and the demons left them, and He healed all the sick. 17 He did these things to bring about what Isaiah the prophet had said:
“He took our suffering on Him
and carried our diseases.” Isaiah 53:4
Hola! Yo estoy diagnosticada con fibromialgia y fatiga crónica.
La oración me ha ayudado grandemente!! Ya no tomo medicamentos!!
TODA LA GLORIA Y HONRA PARA NUESTRO BENDITO PADRE CELESTIAL CRISTO JESÚS DE NAZARETH REY Y SEÑOR 🙌🕊❤
JESÚS NO ES UNA RELIGIÓN
Juan 14:6

Te mantendré en mis oraciones.
MAY JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH BLESS YOU BOTH 🙏

thank you 🙏🏽
What part of Mexico City do y'all live in?
Colonia Acacias, super close to Coyoacan
@@EatBailaTravel That park looks amazing near your place.
That info should be private. beware of stalkers
do you have silver dental fillings? Maybe your sypmtoms are caused by mercury toxicity, you should get tested for heavy metals, or just do detox
I used to actually and I got them removed and my fillings redone 2 years ago. But there could very well be heavy metals in my system still
@@EatBailaTravel mercury toxicity is a common source of health problems. I had one 'silver' filling replaced a few years ago. A simple detox methods is cilantro. I make cilantro smoothies, and feel better
Try intermittent fasting and become vegetarian, cut out all oils, dairy, meat, sugar and you'll feel better IMHO.
Y’all live in c o y a c a n ? Isn’t that where Frida Khalo was from?
It is! Her house is a 15 minute walk from our place 🙂
Mexico city is definitely a much different place than it was 20 years ago!
You could also have Long Cov1d if you’ve ever been infected before
I’ve never tested positive for Covid not have I ever had symptoms 👀 weird because Kevin did.
Viva Mexico Cabrones!
Wow, really?? Gosh, how to know what is true and what isn't? 😯 I appreciate your message anyhow because I trust that it comes from a good place.
My mom would have hit me with el sinto already if I did that to my bed,
Hahahaha I would love for you to show me how to make the bed. Is it because I put the pillows under the comforter and not over? 😅
Just smoke some weed...
I do! Helps only minimally
