    Props to Kevin for taking care of Jenny and her family. Remember life has ups and down. Take it one step at a time. Everything balances out. Nothing is static. Just remember when it's a bad day, let it go and take a nap or go to sleep early. Tomorrow is a new day. God bless you both. Mexico is not easy place to live at all. Everything is a challenge.

    I was in Mexico City about a week ago (in Miguel Hidalgo as well) and the altitude and pollution were somewhat overwhelming. I found that as I was walking the streets, I had to stop and get some rest every 30 minutes or so. So I can see why it's taking a toll on you guys. I wish you all the best.

    My friend was born and raised in California and also has fibromyalgia. Her and her husband sold their home and bought a home in the Yucatán peninsula. She is now thriving their and says she attributes it to the weather, swimming in the salty ocean and having less stress. Maybe it’s something you might benefit from as well. I too know how debilitating something like this can be . Wishing you the best of everything ❤

      Hey there! How cool, we’d love to meet up for a night of salsa! We tried going recently but it didn’t go too well. We returned home before making it to place because I wasn’t feeling well. And the second time, we actually made it! But returned home after only a few songs because the pain and fatigue were too much 😞 we’re still taking life more slowly these days and miss dancing so so much

      Definitely! I focus on an anti-inflammatory diet, and it’s tough to cut out sweets completely because I love dessert, but I do limit it. I took a food sensitivity test and gluten is okay for me, according to that test. I’ve also tried the keto diet and it only gave me minimal improvement with fibro symptoms

  • @Homer-OJ-Simpson

    1st, Kevin is awesome for helping Jenny family.
    2nd, Jenny, you may have helped me out tremendously. You talking about Fibromyalgia and talking about some symptoms made me look it up because it sounds a lot like my experiences. When looking up all the symptoms, I matched the vast majority. I’ve had arthritis since i was a teen though not diagnosed until I was near 30. I’m constantly fatigue, have insomnia, I’m always hurting all over, I have stomach issues, I’m constantly having focus issues (I also have ADHD and the insomnia and fatigue make it worse), etc. so it’s something I will be looking into with my doctor
    I love to travel but when I’m hurting, it becomes far more difficult. Even in Chicago, if it’s not near my home and I have to go to neighborhoods further away, it can really wear me down if I’m in that “bad physical mood” either from fatigue or pain. I was in Mexico City last year and I can relate to the pain of moving around in a big city like CDMX with all the pain the fatigue

    Jenny- undiagnosed Lyme disease is often the trigger for fibro (and other things like MS) . I’d highly recommend looking into testing with IgeneX labs in the USA. Have to pay out of pocket since mainstream med just has no clue when it comes to diagnosing and treating Lyme disease. The word fibromyalgia only describes symptoms (muscle pain), but there is always a cause. Praying you feel better soon- I have chronic Lyme and fibro symptoms all the time as well (I’m 58) but a good Lyme literate doctor (LLMD) can help alot .

    • @Homer-OJ-Simpson
      @Homer-OJ-Simpson 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well this is interesting. I’m early 40’s and when I was a teen they believed I had Lyme disease then they changed it to children’s rheumatoid arthritis. Then in my late 20’s they diagnosed me with Ankylosing Spondylitis
      But I looked Fibromyalgia and I have almost all the symptoms. I wonder if that Lyme Disease triggered fibromyalgia and I’ve been undiagnosed? 🤔

    • @Lizz7711
      @Lizz7711 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Homer-OJ-Simpson Completely possible. It is so underdiagnosed because the standard test has to be run at just the right time before the bacteria hide in your organs and joints out of the bloodstream. If you can find a functional med doctor who will write a script for the IgeneX testing it can help- check out their website and give them a call I think they are pretty helpful.

    I found a lot of remission from my chronic fatigue and fibro using intermittent fasting. I'll never be 100% but I'll take being 70-80% now rather than being in bed/wiped out and in so much pain. Good luck on your healing journey. I find that the quieter and more in nature my life is the better I feel, too.

      Yes, I've experimented with fasting, too. I try to do at least one 24 hour fast per month. I've done 48-60 hour ones this year. And regularly intermittent fast. It helps me control sugar and carb intake since I fill up on veggies and protein and fruit during the eating hours.

    We have some things in common. I was hesitant to comment, bc I understand how easily misunderstanding occurs. Still...
    The pains in the body, do this:
    1) Take/remove as much, eventually all (over months, years) the stress out of your body. In "real world" terms, rest. Rest alot. Don't judge whether you should or shouldn't rest, let your body and mind communicate more clearly (over months) what it needs. I sarted by taking 10-30 mg of melatonin gummies whenever I could hear/feel my body wanting rest, but my mind not "allowing" the rest. Search, listen to 528 Mhz pure tones(not the ones combined with sounds of nature, water etc) on repeat for hours. As loudly as you can for as long as you can, too loud for comfort, turn down volume a little, find your sweet spot between hearing it and drifting to sleep with it. Set your alarm clocks as little as possible. Missed a thing bc resting? No problem. Your body is more important than the worlds noise which acts to distract you/me/us from real valuable understandings. When your hungry, eat what you crave, don't complicate too much. Not hungry, don't eat. Not sure? Pause until sure, knowing there's no right or wrong answer. All of this is like the example of putting on your oxygen mask before helping the person next to you, a fantastic example but one that few people actually practice (took me years).
    2) The rent/house situation, do this:
    Do what you can, but more importantly don't overextend. This would be like putting "their" oxygen mask on b4 putting on your own. Sure, they may benefit greatly from your sacrifice...but it's all in vain when you've sacrificed your real joy and happiness out of some misguided sense that "that's what families do to uphold/show respect." The greatest respect should be to your own lives and labors, a truly kind and authentic person (family or otherwise) will understand this. If they can't/won't, then there's bigger issues beneath the surface beyond familial duties etc. (this took me decades to learn)
    3) Activity, do this: A blu tooth speaker, some wine/juice/water, an open space in whichever locale (cocina, sala, garage, spare room, etc) Don't complicate it. You already enjoy each others company, just add to that however possible. Dance until it hurts, 7 minutes and 13 seconds? Great! If you love dancing, it's better than 0 min. Next time, maybe you notice 15 min, then 22, then 34, etc.
    4) Do all of this consistently with as few expectations as possible. Stay open and apply intention. Pay attention but don't be critical, especially with each other. Yourselves and each other, little else is a necessary. This will not feel like it fits for some time, but if you just keep going...💯

      @@EatBailaTravel Quetzalcoatl, "Quetzal" refers to a bird "Coatl" is the nahual name for water snake or serpent. The bird represents the spirit, that which flies. I am so sorry you are dealing with this! I can sympathize because I have had severe tension headaches for a couple of weeks, and it is SO debilitating! All I can do is sleep and cancel all my plans. And then add onto that these legal problems AND needing to plan your next move. I hope you can trust in the universe that everything will work out in due time. Sometimes you have no control, so you just have to move forward and let life unfold. Love you both. All I can say is, don't move to Lake Chapala. It has been horrible this month and the lake is at about 30% capacity. I'm looking at San Cristobal de las Casas. I left Mexico Tenochtitlan when I was 15. I'm in my 40's now. and I find a struggle to commute. Is not impossible! but the city is a totally different monster and it does take a LOT OF ENERGY. It helps that I have lots of uncles and cousin but still. I totally understand the feeling! Hechenle ganas muchachos, sigan en su propia guerra florida! Tenchikawak, fuerza guerrera!

    I love CDMX but it can be a stressful place with pollution, high altitude/thin atmosphere, millions of people all over, and the need to travel long distances (among many other stressors). That stress I am sure does not help the body. Take care of yourselves and thank you for always striving to make such fun and honest content that shows your lives on this great adventure! My best wishes to you both! Take care of yourselves first…health is most important. I have been dealing with continuing nerve pain since 2014 and one thing that you may want to try is ACCUPUNTURE….that saved me, my condition is much more controlled…along with anti-flammatory diet, I have an improved life, can travel and dance again! Try to find a good specialist to help you…it takes time to find one, then once the treatment works for you….you can do it every other week session for maintenance. It made a huge difference for me and hope it does to you too! Take care, Lilian

    Jenny, I feel you in many ways. I also have fibromylagia and lupus. Having a very clean and pure eating lifestyle, yoga, meditation, and nasal breathing techniques have helped me. And of course grounding on the beach or grass is healing for me too. I'm also a Mexican-American girl from California with dual citizenship who dreams of buying a home in my parents' native land of Mexico. I'm ready to buy/invest in Puerto Escondido now, but how do I convince my husband who loves traveling to resorts in Mexico, but who has reservations about living there with our baby? Take care of yourself Jenny, you might want to look into foods that cause inflammation. I have learned that foods are both a blessing and a curse. Good clean organic food is expensive but it helps with inflammation so much. Is medicinal marijuana a thing in CDMX? If so it might be worth looking into for pain management. Do they have junior colleges in CDMX, our local "city college" offers water aerobics at an inexpensive rate, maybe there's something similar. I enjoy both of your personalities and content, I hope you find a good treatment and continue to do the things that make you happy.

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks, Noel! I try my best to maintain an antiinflamatory diet.
      Marijuana legislation in Mexico is still ongoing in development, but right now, medical use of marijuana is allowed in its CBD (non-thc) form only. The sale of marijuana in herbal form is not legal, but the Mexican constitution reserves the individual right to grow and consume for recreational purposes (in reasonable and individual amounts). That being said, I do use CBD and THC herbal supplements to help with pain. The effect doesn’t last very long for me, but I think it does help.

    Jenny, so it is true that the beach helps fibromyalgia. Soft massage daily helps also. I take gabapentin 300mg 5 per day. I did get off of it but...I got right back on it. Stress has a lot to do with the pain you also end up getting flares, which means its hard to wake up in the morning. What I don't like the most is the fatigue 😢

    Hi guys, I'm so sorry you are having such a ruff flair up. I totally feel for you as I have been experiencing the worst fibro flair up in years. Like you there have been lots of tears and days I just feel like screaming cause I just can't take it. I really wish I could find a good Dr. here in CDMX who understands Fibromyalgia and Chronic fatigue. I really wish I could go back to Cali ( I do love Mexico ) but all my family is in California and being alone with this excruciating pain has been very difficult. Hang in there mija. I know its difficult, I've been dealing with this for 25 yrs. better days are coming. Take Care of each other.😊 PS: Hopefully we can meet up before you all leave.

    Oh I really feel for you. I'm so sorry for your health struggles.
    I was moved to share my journey with chronic illnesses in case it is helpful for you. I have always had one thing or another wrong with me, since the birth of my son. And into menopause when my body fully began breaking down. By the way, from thyroid problems to sinusitis, to constant headaches and major irritations in my urinary tract - doctors have been useless. They simply can't do more than give you drugs with serious side effects, that don't cure you. The medical industry is good for emergencies but useless with chronic illnesses.
    Long story short, it was dealing with oxalates (for about a year now) has (I kid you not) eliminated many of my issues. The weakness and arthritis in my thumbs, the incredible pain in my urinary tract, gut issues, strange moving pains in the body, etc. It varies between people because dumping oxalates can take months or years. Your body "dumps" in cycles, and it can be harmful, so this has to be done gradually. Being young is in your favor.
    Anyway, I encourage you to look this up as doctors only learn about oxalates when related to kidney stones. But these nasty micro shards can collect in different parts of the body causing so so many illnesses, including fibromyalgia. If you're interested you can search on "oxalates sally norton" in youtube for a start.
    I wish for you all the best and good luck in your journey. Thank you for all your wonderful videos!

    So very sorry to hear of your struggles. Things will get better in time. Regarding losing the job, I know it feels like the worst thing, but usually it's just life's way of moving you to where you are supposed to be next. Think of it as part of your journeys. I have a couple suggestions for you: Why not approach a few managers of local hotels with pools, explain your situation and ask for permission to use their pool until August? Also, there is a form of free meditation classes you can try called Sahaja. It enables you to clear imbalances in the body, which may in turn reduce your pain. Another option is to try cold showers, which you can learn very cheaply with Wim Hof Method on audible. Cold water exposure and breathwork can have powerful healing effects on the body. I wish you both well and am excited for you regarding Columbia, the possible road trip and your new home in PE. I love you guys and will be coming along for the ride. Please do keep us updated when you feel well enough to do so, as hearing from you brightens up my day big time ❤

      Parasites produce eggs for weeks and months..so you need to keep taking coconut oil cold press. One spoon every day, you can mix it in your coffee.. instead of milk. punkin seeds, garlic..as a part of your meals for at least two or three months..this get rid of of candida albicans ..and balance your pH bacteria in your stomach to help heal the whole body by itself.. if you do it in your second week, you will feel how your body is improving. Hope this information helps. ✨️

    I am so sorry about how you're feeling, Jenny. Some years ago I was sick with Lyme Disease for a long time and so I can relate. One of the hardest things I experienced was people sayng, "but you LOOK fine!" I imagine you know all about that. It seems obvious that CDMX would require a lot of energy. It is just so huge and so much going on, for better or worse... I was expecting the announcement re: Puerto Escondido! Excited for you and hope that Colombia is awesome. Mine has improved since moving to Mexico (mine is triggered by stress and the cold, but mostly the cold, which is why I think it improved). I'm interested in swimming for exercise too (I haven't seriously looked b/c I'm too poor now, but the one place I saw was also VERY expensive, like 4x what gyms are in the US). Anyway, I get it; I usually can't function after 8-9 pm. In regards to your furniture, maybe your landlord would buy it from you so they can rent it as furnished?

It is very relaxing visiting these sites. I been to a ton of them. Very few people/tourists at these sites/especially on weekdays. Entrance fees are free on Sunday at all or most sites. You can also learn Nahuatl on the side. Even film these arqueological sites using the Nahuatl language. I know lots of Nahuatl native speakers (who specialize teaching Nahuatl) I can hook you up. So sorry to hear that, Jenny. I have autoimmune condition too, still manage to fly to Mexico twice a year to receive better, less expensive medical care in Mexico compared to USA. Sometimes still take CDMX Metro and Bus, but relying more on Uber to get around. Most of the things need to do, including hotel is conveniently on Insurgentes (MB Linea 1) Is that family property (Puebla??) near the water? With the lease expiration, perhaps next place you live would have a swimming pool. Have condo on the beach with 3 pools. (city omitted for privacy) Take care, saludos!!

    Nice to watch your channel again guys! I missed it! ❤ sorry to hear about Jenny’s condition, I wonder if astrology might offer some ways to mitigate it, and I’d consider also to check locational astrology as well. Wonder if you would be interested in a collaboration? We can meet in zoom and discuss it. I also can refer you to a very good medical and nutrition astrologer, one of my teachers.
    On another note, I had some kind of intuitive feeling that Mexico city might not be the best place for you. Seems like that’s what is happening… Myself I had to relocate to Moscow Russia for half a year to deal with some family matters and documents.

    I’m sorry to hear about you condition Jenny. I can’t imagine working with that chronic pain.
    I didn’t know Gym and pool memberships in Cdmx were so expensive. Out of reach for the middle class people.
    Is it a squatter problem you have in your property in the US?

    I think moving to the coast will be good for you. It's great that you already have that land, which most likely would be much more expensive now.

    I have watched a few of your videos & it is interesting to see your perspective living in Mexico city especially being that you are Mexican American. It is important for people of Mexican heritage to see the real Mexican culture in the interior of Mexico vs the often distorted version seen in the U.S. & border towns of Mexico. With that said I was actually born in Mexico City to an Anglo mother & Mexican father from Puebla. I grew up in Dallas as my mother wanted me to go to school in the states and she wanted to be closer to her family just south of Dallas. I visited Mexico City every year for Christmas. Back in the 1980's when I was a child I thought Mexico City was insane as far as the traffic, pollution & overcrowding. Now it's probably 10 times worse. While I recognize and am honestly fascinated with the history of Mexico-the 500 year old buildings from the Spanish & ruins from indigenous people, I just could never imagine being there or living there for an extended period of time. The traffic alone drives me nuts. No pun intended. As an avid long distance runner I have a hard time with smoggy days. The elevation is good for training but that smog is harmful. I actually went to Mexico City for less than a day last week for a quick family matter. Just being there for a few hours dealing with the traffic & haze reminded me how little I wanted to be there. Nothing against the city. The people are great for the most part. It's just a feeling of claustrophobia. Now I live in El Paso since moving from Dallas last year. Even Juarez just across the border at least has much cleaner air. But I guess people can get used to anything which is how my Dad lived in Mexico City for most of his 90 years. Hope things work out for you guys. Cheers.

      Wow thanks so much for sharing about yourself! Yea I agree Mexico City is amazing and I love it but that doesn’t mean I need to live there if I don’t have to 😅 they have enough people and perhaps I shouldn’t add to it’s overpopulation.. lol

    Jenny, a powerful anti-inflammatory is KRILL OIL. lab tests showed it reduced CRP (Reactiva C Proteina) inflammatory market. Try major pharmacy or Tienda Naturista (Coahuillia, Roma Norte)
