Love this video! It’s relaxing and beautiful to see all of the gorgeous swatches, but I think I most love hearing you articulate so well some of the things that are the most alluring to me about makeup-the textures, the reflect, the opalescent, the wet-shine, the almost invisible color presence of a “highlighter.” This is why I own so many reflective products-they have their differences, and I think of them as art supplies. It doesn’t make sense in my mind to own a single one that I wear every day, but I know this is how most of the world perceives makeup-as a function, not an art. So thanks for “talking shop” with us!!

Hannah’s commitment to this single, discontinued product is one of the reasons I trust her on other products. I bought it on her recommendation, and I love it too. But in a world where influencers move on far too quickly to the next big thing and nothing actually gets used, it’s refreshing to see Hannah admire an inexpensive product for so long, even when it’s gone from shelves. It speaks of truth and her ability to look beyond branding to quality and recommend only what will truly serve us well! I hope to see this palette in her empties one day!
I would have loved to see a comparison of the salt New York highlight with the merit highlight in the shade cava. They have similar vibes and I have the salt New York one in beige and it seems to have a similar looking formula to the merit sticks. I do not have the merit sticks though to compare. Loved this video! 🤍

When I want a more liquified highlighter… I take my Auric and put in a little squalene…which makes it so I don’t have any desire to buy the Channel :-) yay! You have taught us well :-)

I 100% agree with your sentiments about the Kosas. I have the cream blush and highlight in the color 8th Muse, and it is one of my most-used items in my collection. I don’t typically use pink highlighters or blush, and yet I’ve hit major pan in both products because I just love the formula! Velvet Melon is one of my few blushes I reach for often.. I love the highlighter so much. I'm happy to see you enjoying them too! I just wish that Kosas would sell refill pans because I have panned the blush really quickly but don't manage to get through the highlighter quite so much.
My fav Illuminator has to be the chanel one. I've bought and tried several different types of highlighters- liquids, balms, sticks, powders etc. But the best formula with the most beautiful glow is this Chanel one. My 2nd fav would have to be Dior nude glow, gorgeous powder highlighter. The 3rd one would be rare beauty luminizers.

After watching one of your videos (maybe about the most shiny eyeshadow) I started using the Fenty glowy thing as an eyeshadow and it is SOO beautiful
This was all kinds of wonderful!
I just got the samples of the kosas products and used them for the first time today, so this video is incredibly well timed. I really didn't get on with them, but that could be just the annoying experience of using a sample and not a full sized pan. To me they seemed about the same as using a lipstick as a cream blush, which is something I love to do. The highlighter is more special. I wish they sold the highlighters as singles at a lower price point. Also got the Kosas foundation and love it so far. Gives me an incredibly dewy base that doesn't look made up. The coverage is better than the glossier, though like the glossier I don't think it's buildable. It is what it is.

I have the Chanel Les Beiges illuminator (in a darker colour) and I absolutely love it. I don't like to wear foundation or other high-coverage products because they obscure my freckles. The Chanel doesn't cover up my freckles, but it leaves my skin looking radiant and it's not sticky (my frizzy hair doesn't get stuck to it). It's actually really flattering. I like to wear one pump for daytime events and two pumps at night.
I have Auric and Fenty highlighters and love them both. I typically incorporate the Fenty highlighter into an eyelook rather than put all over my face.
Preference definitely is key. I thought it was interesting, I got the Cinderella blush and highlight duo for Christmas. I usually prefer peach blush in the winter. This year I was not feeling it, or the tone of the highlighter until I got a slight tan. It flipped in me. Im hapoy to enjoy the product though. Originally I was disappointed.

Have you ever tried the Melt Blushlights? I never was a Melt stan - but my friend recently bought me some Melt products and they are BEAUTIFUL! The Blush Lights are some of the best cream blushes I've ever tried (I've tried a lot!) - I am blown away by the quality and look they give on the cheeks. ♡
Would you say you could use the auric or Chanel liquid highlighter for a thin layer of glow on the whole face with another more balmy highlighter on points like cheekbones and usual highlight places, or would that be too much?
HANNAH! You have to try the Elf Jelly Pop Glow Stick highlighter stick! it's EXTREMELY wet looking and feeling and it has a touch of that iridescence that you like. It's super pretty to look at and play with, it literally melts at the touch and it's so satisfying lol. If you put a bunch on your hand and hold it in the perfect sunlight, omg it's so gorgeous. It looks like the ocean when the sun's going down and it lights up the water in those stunning twinkling glimmers of light...🤤 It's transparent too. AND it smells like watermelon jolly ranchers! I did a little experiment and actually melted down and mixed some with another cream highlighter stick from L.A. Colors I have that is really subtle and not at all wet, it's almost powdery, and I let it set in a separate pan and omg it's perfect together because the LA Colors formula gave it just a little more stability on the face. The Elf one is the one in the red packaging that came out with the Jelly Pop collection so it might be a bit hard to find if it's not on their website. I got mine in a set on sale at Target with the accompanying Jelly pop Dew primer, which is a dupe for the Milk Hydrogrip. You HAVE to check it out!
