If you already have the capsule SS, then might as well put the bar in it. Otherwise it will be on your mind forever, its not worth the sleepless nights buddy. Cheers and job well done 👍🏻👍🏻😊
The 10 oz Britannia is one of the best looking by far. I'm having same issue as to capsule or not. Picked up 3 each last month, might put one in a capsule. Local LCS prefers them in original plastic, not that I plan selling anytime soon. Wish I had bought more since they aren't available on a regular basis and the price is a lot higher on the secondary market.
I’ve just paid for the 10oz bar £313.52 inc vat & delivery. Unfortunately due to the holiday I’ll not receive it until early new year. I do hope it’s a good condition bar, I think it’s the last in stock, sold as new.

@@mnsilver I'd probably choose the Una bar followed by Britannia bar then the Graces, not because the Graces is bad but the first 2 for me are simply stunning
@@SovereignSaurus mine haven't tarnished but if they did I would use Tarn X to remove it in seconds. It's only bullion so it doesn't effect the value if you clean it.
After buying RCM bars, I'm scared to order high premium bars. My RCM bars were improperly stamped. They got a razor sharp flap of silver all the way around the bars and they were beat up. I ordered a Britannia bar last night and I'm praying it's a good one.
Oh dam. Not great about the RCM. I like the look of those bars and haven't heard of any others being defective. I'll pray that you don't get a milky RM bar though it's a stunning bar otherwise, I'd like to get an UNA if I was in time before they got snapped up

They can yes. I've seen most types of silver proof and bullion coins and minted bars get milk spots in varying degrees. Silver can also tone or tarnish over time. You might be lucky but too risky to buy any more premium silver for me
Lol 😆 and just like that... Half the value 😂 I know some people (like me) prefer keeping their silver in the original plastic or packaging to keep them in pristine condition, though I also like being able to hold my silver bars... so I collect poured vintage silver bars for that purpose!
Nothing happens to the value 😂🤔matter of fact on the Royal Mint website it specifically states if you take Gold or any product out of the assay it doesn't change vale at all...The Royal Mints bags crack easy after a while ..w small slits for air to come in ...yes I understand original packaging is nice ..but Royal Mint quality control is garbage
The value of a popular low-premium silver bar is hardly going to be affected by taking it out of its plastic that’s not even an assay card. 10 oz of silver is still 10oz of silver.
I haven't seen any other years or them. There was the una and the lion and the Britannia bars but I'll take a look incase there are any designs I've not seen
I can't remember where it was now sorry. There's occasionally some on the 2nd hand market but perhaps try Atkinson's or Bullion By Post. I'm not sure who is best priced on silver recently

@@investing1223 As long as you keep all comms via ebay it's hard to lose out as a buyer there. You can open a dispute and they'll force a refund if item is counterfeit (or the buyer claims that)
Thanks for dropping by. I hadn't taken a proper look at it until I started recording. Looking back now I do prefer the capsule personally. Considering an eventual exit I'm curious whether people would prefer OMP if they were buying and had a choice. What do you think?
@@SovereignSaurus all buyers would prefer original packaging but when they are beautiful it’s the end user preference to move them to a capsule. You could always buy one for collection and keep In a capsule and buy cheaper bars for making profit on. At least that’s the way I see it

I've taken a couple of the 10oz RCM bars out of the original packaging and put them in capsules so no worries IMHA.
They shouldn't instantly tarnish I don't think

Personally I don’t think it matters if it’s in the plastic or the capsule. I have all of mine in capsules but mine are all generic.

Do these bars chnage each year? I ask because most of the time they are listed as 'new', whereas other new bars from other mints don't say 'new'
