    Probably the cleanest cb install I've seen. Looks factory! I strive to have this clean of an install

    Hey man loved the video, I followed your video to a T!I ended up installing mine the same exact way! Minus the ext speaker part I have one that I want to use behind the cubby hole next to the heater controls! Basically hiding it the same way just a different spot! Loved the all the Info you provided! Mr happy over and out!!

    I'm going to be doing this with my 29 GTL. It has the side mount so I'll have to wire up a mic plug on the side of the CB. I'm probably going to use the top cubby for a switch panel. You did a great job on the install. Only thing I would do is run the power and ground to the battry or the positive stud in the under hood fuse panel if you are have any noise interference.

    Where did you mount your mic holder? Clean instal man. Thanks for the motivation.

      I actually didn't need to mount it because the mic hooks/hangs perfectly to the sunglasses cubby near the done lights in this generation of interior! Thanks for watching!

    And I bet you get lots of engine noise both through the power wires and antenna. You always run the power wire to the battery. With the radio off it doesn’t draw power. The install itself looks great but I would have ran the power wires to the battery. Plus used some LMR 400 coax.

    Hows it holding up in this location. Im taking the radio out of my other truck and possibly installing it in this same location in my 05. Clean install and even cleaner truck. Mine is the same color but a crew short 2500.

      @@605LIFE Good to hear! I will most likely be installing mine there next week. Right now I have it double sided taped to the center console as a temporary fix for vacation. But in the down time of the trip I might be doing some cutting. I'll have the tools with me. The antenna is mounted between the bed and the cab. Great hidden spot and easily accessible.

    Watched the entire video to see you mount the cb radio step by step and you skipped bolting or screwing it into the dash!!

    • @605LIFE
      @605LIFE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The radio is actually only bolted to the black plastic pocket trim/insert, which clips into the colored dash console piece from factory. My bad on not filming that, I'm an amateur over here. Thanks so much for watching!
