I’m currently driving to the city in which my structured interview for the US Marshals will be held in the morning. It’s late and it’s been a long drive but I’m excited to get some sleep and wake up to give it my all to join these other brave Deputies. Wish me luck my friends.

Remember to use the STAR format for your question answers.
I'm still waiting to hear if I am even referred. I hope so. All the luck.

Good day sir, just found your channel and I’m hooked. I’m currently active duty Marine Corps and I get out in about a year.. I also have college credits. What law enforcement job would you recommend if I’m looking for some action, including Marshals. Thank you in advance

USMS, DEA or the Border Patrol. USMS and BP do not require a degree. DEA does require a 4 yr degree.

What are your thoughts on the increased rate of police officers resigning and what will happen, due to all the persecution of law enforcement officers.

The "defund the police" movement has lost steam. However, the perceived lack of support from many municipal governments will lead certified officers in those departments to look for employment where they are appreciated. Municipal agencies will end up lowering hiring standards with disastrous effect.

Hey, I though you said you enlisted in the military, How did you get into rotc after your enlistment and was it hard to get into it?

I was separated in Feb 1982 from the USN. I enlisted in the USAR in June 82 and then joined ROTC in Sep when I enrolled in college. It was very easy to receive a conditional discharge from the Navy to enlist in the Army Reserve. ROTC was easy to get into and to finish. I hesitate to say, but they commission just about anyone.

You lost me when it said it was ‘immoral’ to consume cannabis.

I have the option to do CBP officer. Or local police officer. Could you help give me some insight as to which job I should go for?

A few things you might want to consider: Where is your dept and how many officers, etc. CBP will spend much of the time at a customs checkpoint either at the border or airport, etc. You will do more enforcement work as a police officer than as a CBP officer. It really depends on what you want to be doing.
