    If u dont have chemicals, the cheapest and still effective way to clean oil and sludge is to use washing detergent powder for clothes, just make sure u cleaned that gelatinous layer with water after oil cleaning

    I might need to do this. I bought a 1999 Lexus and immediately did an oil change but after that and some test driving a "Low oil pressure" light keeps popping up when car is warmed up and idling. When driving it's not showing up.
    The oil pan and the strainer could be filled with debris caused by irregular/neglected oil changes by previous owners.

      yes brother, you are right. strainer might be clogged. oil might be having a hard time moving around.

      How did you fix it? I am having the same problem.

      @@sanjayarayamajhi7704 I have some bad news. Once I opened the oil pan I found little pieces of metal. 2 crankshaft bearings were damaged but at least not seized and the crankshaft itself was still straight. I replaced all bearings that touch crankshaft and I also replaced oil pump for brand new one. After that car is running complete fine now on an eaton supercharger for past year. I also use the regular 5W30 oil, changing for higher viscosity only delayed the time until "Low oil pressure" light came on. Good news is I did not have to remove the engine from the engine bay, all of this can be done from the bottom once the oil pan is removed.
      I suspect this was caused by too long intervals between oil changes, this is why you change oil AT LEAST every 10K km.

      Hey man, thanks for the update! Good thing you are able to fix it before it get worse.
      Can't imagine the the hassle if you needed to remove the engine. Good thing all is possible just doing it from the bottom.

    How many hours before starting up the car? I think the gasket maker is not that fast drying.

      I did it late afternoon then used it the next day.
      Worked well. same thing for the transmission pan.

    Owh no, I just do it last week, mine , I don't see any strainer gasket when removing it..only silicone gasket.. I just put it with silicone gasket..

      I see...maybe just stick to proper interval of oil change to lessen your worries.

    sir , kahit anu higpit dyan ng bolt or kelangan mas maganda gumamit ng torque wrench?

    • @SharpentheBlade
      @SharpentheBlade  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Better if may torque wrench. If wala, pede higpit na isang kamay lang hanggang dulo na may resistance. wag sobra na pirat na ang gasket.

    Sir, meron ba talagang oil pan gasket 'yan o sapat na yung silicone gasket maker? :-)

    • @SharpentheBlade
      @SharpentheBlade  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good day sir, wala po rubber gasket talaga yan. Need talaga lagyan ng silicone.
      Sa AT transmission pan may rubber gasket, Pero nagleak yung sa akin kaya silicon na lang din nilagay ko.
