Its a title that simply means Mary played a significant role in salvation history by bearing, birthing, raising, nurturing and praying for our Lord all his life. We do believe that Salvation came from Christ alone. A lot of people are confused by title because co- in english can sometiems mean equal partners, while the orginal term in latin makes it clear Mary had an important but subordinate role.
