  • 2004 Volusia 800 True Dual with Fishtail mufflers. This is COMPLETELY BOLT ON.
    You can see in the video that I show how it passes through under the seat. The rear shock is moved forward 1/2" and passes between the shock and battery box. At the shock the first bracket is attached to hold the header pipe, then the second is on the down tube. The pipes are wrapped and function flawlessly.

    I wish we could've seen how you did it. That's the set up I want for my C50

      I was going to make them in bulk. Sell a couple of sets. Since the great feedback I have gotten, I would need a bike to do them too. I'll make instructions with photos. So any volunteers would be great.

    Hey I love what you did to your bike as I have the same bike and year model. You inspired me to give it a try so I'm sending you a video I made and hope you let me know what you think. I modified mine a bit different but I love that it is now dual to both sides.

      Nice frank. Yea, after moving the shock it wasn't that bad of a design i came up with. Forward me the video.

    Nice bike, got one myself but I don't get fishtails.

    The clamps are solid, I added the second one just to be safe. If you look closely I have made two brackets(one on each side) that allows the pipe to rest on. They keep it very solid and stable. They are still just as tight as when I first installed.

    Got a Q about the fishtails.
    Could they be held on with just the clamps? I'm just concerned about the vibration loosening them.

    I know your showcasing your pipes but where did you get your beach bars and did you have to buy extended cables for the 40" bars?

    • @CatchMyDrift11
      @CatchMyDrift11  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bought 40.5" Beach bars from a harley my friend had. They bolted right up. The cables are the factory cables, I just ran them under the triple trees, not through.

    Very nice sound from a japanese cruiser. Do you think the fishtails contributed to it?

      bak eteng this bike already has a nice meaty sound. If you just take the baffles out of the stock pipes it sounds really really nice. That’s how mine is

    I saw the fish tales on ebay on 36" long, they are 1.3/4 on pipe size, did you use a reducer, ? What I'm thinking is leaving the stock headers on remove the baffles and slip on the two fish tales, do you this nk this will work and is 36" long enought to slap on the stock headers to make look similar to yours

    • @CatchMyDrift11
      @CatchMyDrift11  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No they don't. I made this myself. I changed the bolt location of the shock to create a 1" distance enough to clear the rear exhaust. Then I made it totally bolt on.
