I'm really glad you guys are reinvigorating this channel on top of your regular Easy Italian stuff. E' ottimo! I wanted to say that when ordering things, I always try to be as polite to the staff as possible. And that leads me to ordering with a question. Come, "Posso avere una birra artigianale?" I feel like it breaks from things that tourists say. And for me, as a non-Italian living in Italy, sometimes I have to convince Italians not to switch to English by pushing more complex language. Does anyone else have this issue? Where you greet in Italian and are replied to in English? And then you ask a question in Italian and the reply is in English? Before you know it, you've had a whole conversation where you spoke Italian and the Italian spoke English the whole time. And they're not being rude. They often legitimately didn't even realize you were speaking Italian and their brain was just processing the conversation "normally". It happens to my wife and I so often.
Thank you for "Permesso"! I was in the crowded Milan Malpensa airport trying to get around people waiting in line and used "permesso" a lot. Someone even replied to me 'mi scuzi' for blocking my way. All the best to the team!
Wow, Bologna... Mi hanno detto che non c'è molto da vedere a Bologna. Ma quando io e mia moglie ci abbiamo trascorso una settimana nel gennaio di questo anno, non ci siamo mai annoiati :-) I portici e il centro città sono meravigliosi. Il Santuario di Santo Stefano è quello che ci è piaciuto di più, ma anche la piazza principale, l'università, il teatro anatomico, tutto era bellissimo. Le due torri sono ancora chiuse? Il bar in cui siete stati non è per caso in via San Vitale?
Penso che pur essendo di madrelingua Italiana è interessate guardare come ci esprimiamo tutti i giorni, poiché nelle lingua vi sono dei connotati comportamentali, psicologici e sociologici quindi io come italiano osservo gli italiani molto stimolante.
