In this video, I show how to configure a primary DNS server or a master DNS server. I've gone over the Linux DNS Server Configurations in-depth, step by step.

Hi, Thanks for providing great tutorials. however I followed your tutorial to setup a dns server on cloud. I am getting namerver error that zone file is bad. I have purchased a domain from godaddy. Could you tell me what I should do to solve this??

why your "hostname -f" is not localhost? Or, being more specific, why my is?

you didnt configured the hostname properly, it should return the FQDN of the host.

It is called GeoIP Support, I am not sure about implementing it on the DNS server. I have to see about this further. thanks.

Hi, If it is Name resolution issue, you can do it by giving entries at the /etc/hosts file, you dont have to install bind at all servers. Thanks
