Creed's first album was definitely their best. This song, What's This Life For, Sister, Torn, and Pity for a Dime were awesome songs.
This was the song they took around and demoed to the record company's to get their first deal.

The guitarist, Mark Tremonti, has an eponymous solo band. It’s heavier than Creed and Alter Bridge. So good.
I love OG Creed, and I love Alter Bridge. But I agree. Tremonti is next level.

The lead singer Scott Stapp suffers from severe schizophrenia and this song is about how he fights his mental remains daily....it actually caused the break up of the band, Arms wide open is a song he dedicated to his son, in hopes that he didn’t suffer the same disease and hopes he realizes how much he loves him despite the disease
He was brutally abused as a child and the theory is that schizophrenia is a defense to break away from the trauma endured .
