- I really like the Chantecaille Holiday Collection! I admit that I've been disappointed that there hasn't been anything completely amazing for the 25th anniversary and this collection still does not remedy that but it is a great collection with a few things I know I will be using regularly. Hi Lexi, another great review taking the guesswork out of what to pick up. The rose gold eye shade is super pretty on you and this year's highlighter is a preferable light, whiter gold imo vs the former. Love that lip cristal ... anything sparkly always gets my attention. Very nice! I think I’m going to use the blurring powder as a setting powder as well. Thanks for always bringing out the other comparable products, too, as it gives us better idea. I tend to like more matte finish during summer but dewey or metallic finish during winter. Omg, I’m loving them all!

The highlighter is a bit too gold for me and I already have the lipstick but I am going to purchase the finishing powder and the eyeshadow (which is a dupe for my favourite shade in the Hummingbird quartet). Lexi! Thanks for giving me a great holiday pop idea. I have the rose gold shade from PML and I put a dab of it over my lipstick in a complimentary shade and it gave the lipstick that glittery metallic look. Beautiful. I would have never thought to do that until you demonstrated the idea with the new chanticaille eye shade. Thanks for the great inspiration.

From Chantacaille's Lotus collection last year I bought the Pink-tone highlighter and Light pink lip Crystal. I loved both products! love the look of the eyeshadow, it's so pretty. It reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Incandescent shade a bit, BB is perhaps deeper tone and i think is less refined as more glittery appearing.

Lexi, wow can’t believe how quickly you got this collection! I wasn’t sure how this collection would be since Chantecaille has been disappointing lately. But after seeing your review & swatches the eyeshadow looks beautiful on your eyelids. And the blur powder gives a nice glow whereas last year is more matte. And the lipgloss and lipstick give a nice shimmer on the lips. I was hoping the collection wouldn’t be so pretty less on the wallet 😆. Thanks for the review and swatches and getting these collections so quick and videos made. I can’t keep up 😆. I’m scared to go out of town and get behind on all these collections. 😊🌺

Hi Lexi! I don’t see any ‘new’ ideas lately from Chantecaille although I enjoy lots of past product releases. Not generally a fan of sparkly, shimmery, or glittery makeup but the radiant or perfect glow powder looks beautiful on you. The last time I purchased powder from Chantecaille was the perfect Blur powder. Since then, I’ve preferred Sisley or Westman Atelier. Thanks for doing such an in depth review of powders and highlighters from top luxury brands. You make it much easier for me to decide when to spend and when to sit back. Have a great weekend ❤!

The blur powder looks pretty. I saw the release photos and I was not blown away by the collection or packaging but the blur powder on you is making me want it. I wish the would have done 2 highlight colors like a pinky pearl and a lighter champagne are my preferred color choices . * More shades of the eyeshadow would have been great too.
I agree - two highlighters would have been nice or a blush like the akoya one they had last year.
Beautiful collection Lexi! The eyeshadow looks gorgeous but if I’m trying to save money I remembered I have a MAC snowflake highlighter that is a literal dupe for the rose gold sparkly shadow. I will have to pull it out and use it again! The blur powder is tempting me though! 💗💗

They both have that pink/gold shift.
I don't have that palette but I remember that shade and they are probably similar.
Now a question on the eyeshadow - I tend to collect those shades and I have a few - was wondering if you had any of these for comparison: Urban Decay Fireball (single shadow), NARS Outer Limits (single shadow), Tom Ford Cream shadow pot in Sphinx, and lastly from the first Pat McGrath 18 pan holiday release in the cardboard packaging - palette was called Celestial Divinity, and the specific shade is CosmiK (bottom left corner). They are all in the same color family, just wondering if you had any of those. THANK YOU!!

I may have many questions lol - here is the first. We are skin tone twins - exact same which is why I love watching you. After I set my face I find my skin can be a little too matte - if I wanted to put some life back into it - would you suggest this new blurring powder, or the Teint Rose 01 in the Guerlain Meteorites, or one of the Hourglass finishing powders (and if so which one). I'm a lot older than you, so I don't want any big glitter particles on my face - just to bring a little life back after setting powder, THANK YOU!! I watch ALLLL of your videos and love them. :)
Those are all great options! I think it is a tough choice but I would rank them as such: Chantecaille, Guerlain Meteorites, then Hourglass.
Hi Lexi, you mentioned that the colour of the Chantecaille Blur Powder is the same as the Sisley Pressed Porder in shade rose, except that the Sisley one is more matte. Does that mean if we own the Sisley one, we don’t need this Blur powder? On Chantecaille’s website now, the permanent powder is the Perfecting Blur Powder in more like ivory shade. Do you have it and what do you think of that compared to the Holiday powder? Many thanks.
The finish is completely different between the two powders so if you have the Sisley and love that color, the Chantecaille is a good option if you are looking for something more luminous in the same shade. I had the permanent powder in the light shade but it was still too dark for me. As for the formula, the permanent one is slightly more firm than the holiday powder and it doesn't have the same luminosity since the holiday one is actually a glow powder. For me, the holiday powder is a great shade for my skintone so that alone makes me prefer it but otherwise, the finish of the permanent powder will be more like the Sisley although with the Sisley, if you put on too much - it can look dry more quickly than the Chantecaille.

Hi Lexi, how does the radiant blur piwder compare to others on the market such as Hourglass? You mentioned it wasn't as good as tge Ecle deux but in what way? I have that powder & didn't really like it. I found it somewhat cakey. I much prefered Hourglass on my dry mature skin.
I love the Eclat Doux because it is creamy, velvety, and does not have shimmer. This one is a little more firm than the Eclat Doux so you will probably prefer the texture but it does have shimmer. The hourglass is gorgeous but a bit drier and thinner in texture.
@@LexiJong Thankyou for clarifying. I will pull out the Eclat Doux & give it another try. Perhaps I will prefer this new one better given your description. It's interesting because their gel foundation that many love is not a favourite of mine. It dries down to an almost powdery finish on my skin & is a little cakey. I have to wear a glowy primer underneath for it to look okay but I won't be repurchasing & their tinted moisturizer is even worse on me but I do love the longest lash mascara.
I think when they came out with their base products, they were really good but now in this current market there are better options. I find the gel foundation to be a bit finicky as well.
I have the lotus perfect blur and want to buy this one but I can see all the shimmer particles on your cheek when you zoomed in. It just seems like it's an entirely different formula too.
It definitely seems different than the Lotus. I don't notice the sparkly parts in the mirror but when I look at the zoomed in parts, I can see it too.
Very beautiful collction. Perfect holiday put to gether refined look without too much of color. Wonder how this highlighter compares to stella. I'm light-medium with little tan from summer so still looking medium. Could you give me an idea of this highlighter compared to stella in the Cosmos collection. Much appreciated.
Thank you Lavanya! The Cosmos highlighter is more metallic in texture and less glittery. This one is lighter. I will try to swatch them when I get a chance.
@@LexiJong Thank you so very much for the swatches. I did see the comparision swatches on IG and get now what you meant less glittery. Personally stella is more muted gold and less in face compared to the precious gold version, I might just prefer Stella then. Thank you.

Éclat Doux! Now that-in its original formula-should be a repromote. It’s the combination of color and formula that made ÉD a winner for me. I have other gorgeous powders, but ÉD just hit the sweet spot.

I think that buff and blur powder from this collection has a prettier finish than the other one you compared it to *the Perfect Blur Glow*. Or am I imagining that? I have the old luminescent shadow in Sole…. A rep from Chantecaille found one for me several years ago! I was over the moon thrilled- one of those makeup regrets and I am so happy to have it. Not sure but this one from this collection might be a little smoother looking? Might be the lighting, though. That lip gloss & crystal are gorgeous! I would wear it sheer also.

If they are going to do repromotes it would have been nice if they had brought back the true fan favourites for an anniversary year. However, I don’t have any lip crystals and that one is lovely.
Yes, I would really love to see the eclat doux return but after asking for years, I have finally been told it is highly unlikely it will ever come back.
😭 I found Chantecaille too late for some of their really beautiful products. There was a highlighter duo, where the whiter shade was apparently the same as the one in the pearl collection. But the duo looked lovely, as does the other gold collection
Yes they had some really elegant products in the past but hopefully we will see more of that next year. I was told they have big plans.
The radiant glow blue powder looked so good on you, I was tempted! But then I saw that the first 2 ingredients are synthetic fluorphlogopite, & mica and I never end up liking how those look on my face if they’re the star ingredients, especially outdoors. I think I just have too much peach fuzz and texture.
I think I’m skipping this. I have plenty of other holiday launches to shop!
And we still haven’t seen Chanel yet!

@@LexiJong I remember you reviewing Incandescent glow holiday palette from Bobbi Brown. There was a highlighter that is practically the same thing as the luxe eyeshadow in Incandescent :) If you still have that palette, it would be a very useful comparison! Nevertheless, thank you so much for always including comparisons in your reviews! I find them very helpful!

@@LexiJong also if you have Pat McGrath Sublime palette, there is the shade VR Nectar which also can be quite similar to the Chantecaille one. I know for sure that VR Nectar and Bobbi Brown Incandescent are very similar! Maybe comparing Chantecaille to VR Nectar will help us learn that all three are indeed very similar. Of course, if you'd be keen to do these comparisons on the community tab or Instagram! I totally get if you don't ❤️
How does the pink blur powder compare to Guerlain meteorites when it comes to providing glow as a finishing powder? Just curious if we need both or they kinda do the same thing
They are similar. The biggest difference is the color. The Guerlain becomes a bit more shimmery more easily than the Chantecaille.
Ohhh I see, I think I missed that post. Thank you so much Lexi. I was always thinking of Guerlain being too shimmery May be chantecaille could be promising for my preference. However I have neutral/golden undertone I wonder if pink color looks too cool.
Hi Lexi. So Chantecaille looks like they finally did good job, lol of course bringing something from the past🤪. I loved Positano collection. I got the same mare eyeshadow, i never got another one. And at this point not sure if i am going to get it i just got so many new eyeshadows from LE, and Chanel, and i Surratt, and i even wore my TF golden hour or Dior Eden rock too much, not even talking, about previous collections, so i think i dont need. Now the highlighter, i live that gold color. But i think Hermes which i have 2 maybe similar. I dont know. I might still get this one, not sure. I want to see Chanel highlighters . Ah not sure 🤔 Now that crystal lipstick its nice, i wish i got red one. I missed that. 😳 so i do love Chanel skin enhancers. The soft pink gives nice blur, evens out complexion. I wore it today by itself. Its not glowing as les beiges highlighting fluids nor as thin as chantecaille pink tint. Its really more thicker consistency, but spreads very easy. I also have the intense amber, i just quickly dab on my cheeks, and you know around areas where the sun hits. Its not so dark as i thought. If i want to add more color, i would have to use more.
