I've loved Mercedes even before I could drive. First time I drove my sisters was ecstasy and I new I had to get myself one. A few years later I got the same model I first drove and it was the beginning of a love story, after 4 years got another Mercedes. I have driven many different cars but the Mercedes drive just hits different. From the sound to the comfort to the handling and the power the cars are truly the art of life. Even if I do get another car I would always like to have a Mercedes so when I need to feel good I just get in and drive off.
It's stupid as stealing this car. the police love it. you can't drive faster than the speed limit. german cars it' the best cars. This car is rejected for criminals. and the brake assistant is therefore no help
It's awesome that this technology is being used for the safety of others versus simply making it easier for the driver to drive the vehicle (like self-driving vehicles)

Owner will just sit in the back and enjoy the ride. This isn't everyday day, it's expensive luxury. You must offer something more if you want to sell it at that price. And yes, there are some stupid systems. But cars communicating about dangers on the road, car parking and calling for help if you fall asleep while driving or have a stroke or whatever. Blind spot technology, and safety measures, these are not stupid things , and it's things the best drivers would love to have. Being a "car guy" is cool I guess, but don't be delusional. These are some life-saving technologies, we need lower accidents rate in whole world. And even if it's meant for bad drivers, 80% of people out there driving now are probably bad drivers or just ok at best.
Imagine if these things do go wrong, it’ll just be like your normal car without these added safety features. It’s not like you can’t operate your brakes manually and use your eyes/ears when you see potential danger if these detention system breaks- and no one should solely rely on these systems. I have these sensors detection system in my car and LOVE IT. It’s an extra convenience which does provide an extra layer of protection, but never substitute for common sense safety driving.
I once drove with high velocity on a stretch of frozen rain on the Autobahn that I didn't see coming. I was way way too fast for such weather conditions. It started out as a fairly warm December day, sun was shining, I didn't even needed a coat. On my way home on the Autobahn the weather changed within a minute from sunny and dry to dark and rainy. The rain froze instantly on the winter cold asphalt. The moment the black ice formed on the road my car lost contact and started slipping. The barrier on my left, a big lorry to my right and me basically losing control on ice at 200 km/h. Thank god that I drove in my Mercedes and the car took over from my stupid driving. I am almost 100% sure if I had decided to pick another car that day this might have not ended that well. And this is about 5 years ago - it shows how safe these cars were already back then. After that incident, the whole dashboard was red with a permanent warning. I drove to the next exit and parked for 5 minutes to calm myself. After the break the car was back to normal as if nothing happened.
I don't trust your story. Mainly because of the part where you are doing 200 km/h with a big lorry on your right. They are not allowed to go that fast even on autobahn and I don't even think majority of them can.
When I went to the Mercedes Benz brand immersion course in Alabama, I did similar driving scenarios with an E-class. You really have to fight the urge not to brake in order for the system to function as it's being displayed. Kind of nerve racking. The system isn't perfect but it's damn close.

I've heard many stories where friends of friends got their licences even tho they made mistakes which could have cost a life if the situation was right. Many driving schools prioritise a good reputation over safe newbies
