I did see it in the theater I loved it I was so mad that it got overshadowed by Godzilla vs Kong which also overshadowed The Currier which was also great

And bend. And spindle. And get mutilated. EDIT: Oh yeah, the barber had a 8-3 offsuit um...cufflink I think. Second worst hand you could draw. I read somewhere that, although they don't plan in making a crossover movie, they could have little easter eggs from Nobody in John Wick, meaning that they are both in the same universe. I want so bad to see John getting in a bar and Hutch is just there drinking and they start talking about mundane life lol
The difference is that Wick is an assassin that hires himself out to the underworld while Hutch removed people that were stealing from the government. Unlikely that they'd ever cross paths.

Bob Odenkirk said this movie saved his life. He had a heart attack during the production of the film and he said that if he hadn't gotten into shape for this film he might not have lived through the heart problem.
I thought Odenkirk's heart attack was during the Better Call Saul shoot for the season 6 finale, "Plan and Execution". The story I know is, he was exercising, on a stationary bike, had a heart attack and fell down. Another cast member (who would otherwise not have been there, but since they were shooting the finale, he had to be present) saw it happen and Odenkirk got medical help right away.

Amazing movie for so many different reasons, one of the best action movies in recent history in my opinion. There are way too many things I loved about it, but one thing I found very cool is how it's basically the opposite of john wick. Yes, both men tried to leave their past life to start a new one with a family, both were dragged back in, but the difference is John despises it whereas Hutch absolutely LOVES it.

Not a movie, but one of my favorite badass one liners is from the first God of War game from 2005. Spoilers for the game: Ares the Greek God of War tricked the main character Kratos into killing his own wife and daughter in an effort to turn Kratos into a perfect warrior. By severing the last ties that Kratos had to his humanity. Kratos of course seeks revenge and right before the killing blow Ares begins to beg for mercy. Ares: Remember Kratos, it is I who saved you in your time of greatest need. Kratos: I haven't forgotten Ares. I remember how you saved me. Ares: That night. I was trying to make you a great warrior. (The one liner is) Kratos: You succeeded. He then stabs Ares through the neck.

My favorite one-liner is actually a no liner. In Superman, Lex Luthor explains that he sent one missile to the San Andreas fault and the other to Hackensack, New Jersey because even Superman couldn't stop them both. As they're walking away, his assistant says to Lex, " But my mother lives in Hackensack ". His response was the coldest thing I've ever seen in a film. He looks at her for a moment, looks at his watch, looks back at her, and then just shakes his head no and walks away.
Also one of the most cartoonishly stupid moves an "genius" movie villain has ever done. I mean, he believes she's gonna choose Lex over her mom, and gives her a really easy way to thwart his plans, then walks out of the room? He's not clever, he's one of the dumber Bond villains!
Nobody is the perfect response to John Wick and just as amazing. Wick all martial arts and awesome choreography, Nobody no fancy martial arts just brutal beatings. Wick, a dog and Nobody a braclet. Wick, every justification and Nobody, no real justification. Wick, everyone knows and Nobody is totally unknown And, dayum. Who would win in a face-off? Luv 'em both.

Many people are shot with their own guns during home invasions/robberies. People prepare to show a gun and say freeze, not to kill someone. Bob Odenkirk prepared for this role even for he got the part, he wanted to play the character that much.
Love that Nobody's tattoo is a 7 and a 2 which is regarded as a terrible hand to have in poker. Meaning those who see it have just been dealt a terrible hand.

I think that Hutch being an auditor and gold in some form being a payment method are just easter eggs from John Wick. One of the creators of Nobody, Derek Kolstad written/co-written the whole John Wick Saga including upcoming Chapter 4.
The best one liner in history is the Spartan reply to King Philip of Macedon, he wrote some long winded letter threatening them with invasion and destruction, and included the line "If my army crosses into your territory" the Spartans sent back a single word as a response. "If."

The writer of John Wick 1 took first version of JW' script (from before Keanu Reeves joined), rewrited it for less similarities with JW and we have Nobody No collaborations with Assasins World from JW In my opinion, JW becomes too much of some fking marvels' superhero with each new film, but the right course for franchise is to Nobody

My favorite line of all time, while not exactly a one liner is from John Wick. It is the phone call, ... stole John Wick's car sir, and killed his dog. The Russian turns around and says "Oh" and hangs up. All of you talked about taking a few stacks of cash. What you didn't pay any attention to was the painting he took worth hundreds of thousands or possibly millions. Another good line is I'm going to kill each and every one of you, my only regret is that I only get to do it once. Equalizer 2.
Loved your reaction to this, just one thing I will mention,you pointed out that he would have broken his hands against that brick wall which I would dispute, I have done conditioning on my hands/knuckles to toughen them up and you quickly learn how far you can go with the impacts against an object b4 any real damage is done so Hutch would also know his limits, apart from that,great reaction to an awesome movie.
24:56 Technically, John Wick is shades of Nobody. Nobody was written first, before John Wick. Yet the writer couldn’t get Nobody made. The he sold John Wick and it became a hit. The success of the John Wick series allowed the writer to get Nobody made.
In terms of plot, John Wick drives on a 300 km/h max. highway. Nobody drives on a country road and the plot expands to include many interesting elements. John Wick starts very quickly from 0 to 100. Nobody needs anything but the plot is more interesting for me and easier to understand from a human perspective. The film is, among other things, an absolute highlight because of its cast and their appearance in the plot.
"I'm out. No need to pay. Good luck." Should've ended any thoughts of vengeance right there. I'm pretty sure Nobody and John Wick are set in the same universe. I mean, there's all these shady organizations bankrolling badass assassins and hit squads. You telling me that none of the world's most powerful governments have their own? Plus a lot of people involved with JW were involved with this. Hutch and Wick are both badass, but it's interesting to see the difference in their styles. Wick is flashier, using a lot of complicated takedowns, joint locks, holds, rolls, spins, etc. Hutch is much more direct, using improvised weapons, straight punches, overhead swings, and so on. This actually fits with his background of being trained by a government / military, as their training is designed to be simpler to use. Just look up LINE and MACP. Both emphasize lethality, relative simplicity, usability in full combat gear, and are not heavily vision dependent (for use in low light, smoke, fog, etc.). Would love to see them team up someday.
One theory I had after seeing noboby and John Wick 4 was that the movies take place in the same universe. In John Wick 4 you have the guy following John around and only refers to himself as a Nobody, which if the movies are linked meaning there's another organization that refer to themselves as nobodies, seemingly as a independent mercenary group that will work alongside the table if needed. What's cool is Derek Kolstad (the writer of the movies) confirmed they are in the same universe, so could be some crossover, unlikely though. A stupid theory My friend and I like is that the John Wick movies are purely just us being able to watch Neo's martial arts training upload from the Matrix, the movies are purely what he experienced during the upload to teach him all the moves and knowledge.
The tattoo on Hutch's and his father's wrists, a Seven of Spades and a Two of Diamonds, is statistically the worst possible starting hand you can be dealt in Texas Hold 'Em, since they are the lowest two cards that cannot make a straight (there are four cards between 2 and 7), and both of them are off-suit. So, if you see someone with this tattoo you just got dealt the worst possible hand by them.
Which one is worst bringing inside a Russian mob's club and threatening them? A claymore or a normal sized brick of semtex plastic explosive as a bomb? To me personally, it has to be a normal sized brick of semtex plastic explosive as a bomb, because that can damage the entire area of that club as well as killing and wounding everyone else.
Bit a claymore has controled blast. He does not have beef with everybody in the club. He just needs to hold big boss by the balls. Making sure he will die gets the job he wants done.
Alternate Scene Man hits woman holding gun on his kid, the trigger is pulled, kid's brains are now painting the wall. Yeah, the gun wasn't loaded, but *nobody* else knows that.
I don’t know but I would guess that Hutch didn’t take any money because he wasn’t a thief he was being defensive of his family. Defense is one thing with its rules, theft is another set of rules. Much like coming to his house and endangering his family is against the rules. It also sends a strong message that he didn’t want the money so don’t try bribery to solve the problem.
The tattoo has two card of 2 & 7. In poker it’s the most unluckiest card combo. Here it means if you see an auditor with that card combo It's your unluckiest day or the last day 😉

In both movies, the director proves he doesn't give a crap about decent casting and only cares about drawing an audience. In both movies, the cookie--cutter leads have barely developed personalities and very thick plot armor.
They're bad movies that people only watch because of the leads and that stupid people love action movies. They're SO far from Terminator, Die Hard, or Aliens, movies made by actually talented writers and directors, that it boggles the mind to read comments like "amazing move for so many reasons!" You're one of the ones who are the reason we only ever get garbage like this crap these days!

My favorite one-liner is actually a no liner. In Superman, Lex Luthor explains that he sent one missile to the San Andreas fault and the other to Hackensack, New Jersey because even Superman couldn't stop them both. As they're walking away, his assistant says to Lex, " But my mother lives in Hackensack ". His response was the coldest thing I've ever seen in a film. He looks at her for a moment, looks at his watch, looks back at her, and then just shakes his head no and walks away.

My favorite line of all time, while not exactly a one liner is from John Wick. It is the phone call, ... stole John Wick's car sir, and killed his dog. The Russian turns around and says "Oh" and hangs up. All of you talked about taking a few stacks of cash. What you didn't pay any attention to was the painting he took worth hundreds of thousands or possibly millions. Another good line is I'm going to kill each and every one of you, my only regret is that I only get to do it once. Equalizer 2.

In terms of plot, John Wick drives on a 300 km/h max. highway. Nobody drives on a country road and the plot expands to include many interesting elements.
John Wick starts very quickly from 0 to 100. Nobody needs anything but the plot is more interesting for me and easier to understand from a human perspective.
The film is, among other things, an absolute highlight because of its cast and their appearance in the plot.
"I'm out. No need to pay. Good luck."

I'm pretty sure Nobody and John Wick are set in the same universe. I mean, there's all these shady organizations bankrolling badass assassins and hit squads. You telling me that none of the world's most powerful governments have their own? Plus a lot of people involved with JW were involved with this.
Hutch and Wick are both badass, but it's interesting to see the difference in their styles. Wick is flashier, using a lot of complicated takedowns, joint locks, holds, rolls, spins, etc. Hutch is much more direct, using improvised weapons, straight punches, overhead swings, and so on. This actually fits with his background of being trained by a government / military, as their training is designed to be simpler to use. Just look up LINE and MACP. Both emphasize lethality, relative simplicity, usability in full combat gear, and are not heavily vision dependent (for use in low light, smoke, fog, etc.).
Would love to see them team up someday.

One theory I had after seeing noboby and John Wick 4 was that the movies take place in the same universe. In John Wick 4 you have the guy following John around and only refers to himself as a Nobody, which if the movies are linked meaning there's another organization that refer to themselves as nobodies, seemingly as a independent mercenary group that will work alongside the table if needed. What's cool is Derek Kolstad (the writer of the movies) confirmed they are in the same universe, so could be some crossover, unlikely though.
A stupid theory My friend and I like is that the John Wick movies are purely just us being able to watch Neo's martial arts training upload from the Matrix, the movies are purely what he experienced during the upload to teach him all the moves and knowledge.

I don’t know but I would guess that Hutch didn’t take any money because he wasn’t a thief he was being defensive of his family. Defense is one thing with its rules, theft is another set of rules. Much like coming to his house and endangering his family is against the rules. It also sends a strong message that he didn’t want the money so don’t try bribery to solve the problem.
