    With the old style cameras you place left hand underneath the camera body or lens while your right hand can maneuver around for the buttons and just use it as a guide no pinching or you will get carpal tunnel.

    Small rig have a grip and arca Swiss QR plate available it really improves the handling and grip on the camera. I custom set the auto iso video button and exposure compensation to the rotating ring on the lens.

    It's not a competitor to the Z50. It shares its internals for the most part (they should have used the innards of the Z5. Definitely should have full frame. But it is what it is) but it is its own thing. Also, alot of people are treating this like it's either only for vloggers or only for people who want a point and shoot. It's a very capable camera for photography. I bought it for the manual controls. I want to use them for photography to replicate a film camera, such as setting the ISO to specific film types like Portra 160 and working with my aperture and shutter speeds and exposure compensation to get the right exposure. Im focussing on B&W photography so Im hoping to get some good results.

    I love my Zfc and my 18-140mm z lens! This is a perfect compact travel camera which takes great photos! I the SmallRig L-Shape Grip for the Nikon Zfc Camera 3480 makes it significantly easier to grip this camera. It costs only $40 and is worth every penny. Without this grip I wouldn't even own this camera without this third party accessory.

    Video mode - as it requires some different setting (for shutter speed) it saves time to have them separated. This way when you dont want to take photos and want to shoot video, you change to video mode and you have you video settings there - it saves time.

    It’s possible to purchase a third party grip which certainly improves the handling 😊

    I just bought this camera after not having a proper camera for over ten years. I've forgotten everything I once knew and digital cameras have come a long way since my D100 died, so this was super helpful! Why do you recommend setting the maximum auto ISO sensitivity to 6400-8000 instead of the default? Thank you for the video!

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! The ISO is your sensitivity to light, but choosing too high of an ISO number can effect color and clarity, causing visual noise in your photos that take away the sharpness in quality. This camera can safely go up to 6400-8000 without getting too much visual noise. You want to stay at low numbers as much as possible to maintain quality. Now, if it is make or break to get a photo and you gotta bump it up, that is what it is there for!

      I should have noted that I was referring to the other mirrorless models. I do know that 35mm film Nikon/Nikkor cameras did and do exist. And my comparison to Fuji was merely to help those just getting into photography have a comparison that is being sold new in the mirrorless line, as the rest of the Z system is made with a more simplistic overlay.

    Hi, would you please share the settings to take cloudy-look water picture with nd filter? At what time of the day is best for such shots?

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! The more velvety water you want, the earlier or later in the day you should take the photo, with some light but LOW light. Set your ISO to 100, set the aperture between F8 and F11, and see what the camera recommends for Shutter Speed by keeping that on Auto. Then adjust your speed from what it recommends to get more velvety or less effects.

    Did you understand if you can find information about the place you are when you take a picture when you see them after, i'm not sure about the correct expessioning of my questioning. Can the camera detect the place you are.?

    Caution! I recently downloaded firmware for the Zfc from Nikon. When I hit the upload, the camera shut itself down and would not restart. Nikon support told me it would have to be sent to a service center. I mailed it, at my expense. After a week, I got an estimate for repair. Almost $ 300.00. This camera was just over one year old, purchased directly from Nikon and had less than 1,000 actuations. The camera worked perfectly until I tried to upload the firmware. Note - I own over two dozen Nikon cameras including four Z series and I am very familiar with the update procedure. Has anyone else had this problem?

    The Z Fc does NOT resemble a Fuji - it is a style replica of the old Nikon FM2 and more or less every Nikonian knows this photography legend

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I absolutely agree. I was really just comparing to the mirrorless line, as compared to the rest of the Z system, it resembles more of a Fuji considering all they do is the Film camera style. This was more so for new photographers who like this style or Fujifilms as they can compare side by side, while the FM2 is no longer being made.
