    Only one lens? No!
    The lens chart at 6:27 shows both a 26mm f/2.8 pancake lens and a 40mm f/2. The image at 6:41 that shows the Zfc with 5 different lenses. None of them are zooms. Second from the left is the limited edition 28mm f2.8 SE. In the UK Nikon launched the Zfc with this lens which was styled to mimic the 28mm f2.8 AiS from the 1980s (that was the go-to 28mm for FM, FE2 & FM2 owners). I still use my 28mm AiS which I bought new over 40 years ago.
    The only possible use for this adapter is for someone replacing their existing Fuji body with a new Nikon whilst prolonging the life if their Fiji lenses.

    On my Z fc I use two Viltrox primes, the 33 1.4 and the 56 1.4 both are excellent lenses. The 56 is the better of the two. I recently borrowed a mates Fujifilm X-T4 with the Fuji 33 1.4 LM and 56 1.2 LM for a whole week of brutal testing and comparison. Result: The Fuji lenses are better optically but only very slightly. The bokeh of the fuji's is a little smoother. The Viltrox lenses are only a little behind, which for lenses that are a third to a fourth of the price is amazing. Both Viltrox lenses sit quite happily on my Z fc. If you think they are big/heavy, try using the Fujifilm 56mm 1.2 LM! It's HUGE.

      Thank you for sharing your experience. I have the Viltrox 56/1.7 on my Zf c now. First few shots look good!

    The Zfc is my travel camera, it’s light weight and takes fantastic photos. My main ‘home’ camera is the Zf that I shoot with Voigtlander lenses, a great combo. Thanks for the video.

      Nice combo! I've head the Zf on loan for a couple of weeks and it's a different beast - but the Z fc is still very good in comparison.

    Good to see you drawing attention to these Nikon DX cameras. I have the Z50 and a number of Nikon and Viltrox lenses for it. I’ve rented and even bought several Fuji cameras because by the specs would seem more impressive. But i always find the Nikon raw files better to work with in LR. I tried the Nikon 24mm dx lens but found the vignetting to be too much. I opted for the Nikon 28mm f2.8 and 40mm f2. They are relatively compact and have good quality. Please do a review of that Fuji to Nikon adapter when you can get it. Thanks!

    Nikon Z50 vs. Zfc. Tried recently these two seeking to keep one. Both used "mint - like new" with less than 1000 shutter actuations - currently with kit lenses. More on lenses below. I really REALLY wanted to like the one on the Zfc. As someone who learned photography with a late 60's ZEISS IKON Contaflex handed down from my father, I loved the retro dials, but it is sooooooo bloody uncomfortable to hold. Even tried it with the 3rd party grips from Smallrig/Neewer - which then makes it heavier and not necessarily much more comfortable to use. With firmware updates the z50 and the Zfc are essentially the same units. Plus the price of the Z50 I tried was about 35% cheaper.
    So, in my view the problem is not lenses or lack thereof that "throw it out of balance" (plus looks of any lense on it is a subjective matter which at least for my is not a decision factor buying a camera). but again, the cumbersome grip. At least for me I've grown with ergonomics in mind and based on just on how they feel on the hand, the Zfc has a losing battle against the z50.
    So much that I've used the z50 with the FTZ adapter and a 70-200 2.8 with pleasure. Can't imagine i would have been able to do it with the Zfc (even with the 3rd party grip)

      Thank you for sharing this. I agree that if you throw in a long zoom lens, the grip becomes a lot more important. I rarely use telephoto lenses but it's an aspect I will aim to address in future videos. Thanks!

      I have both the Z50 and the Z fc. I bought the Z fc to replace the Z 50 (as I like the retro look). BUT, I actually prefer using the Z50. For my hands the Z 50 is a perfect fit and is SOOOOO comfortable to hold and use. I'll probably keep both cameras. I use a Viltrox prime on the fc and the 18-140 on the Z 50.

    Get yourself some fujicron silver lenses. They'll look great. Solid, small, weather resistant, fast quiet focus. Chef's kiss. Did you mention getting the 35mmF1.4? (Classic image character, but sort of modernized/replaced with the 33mmF1.4) Seriously consider the 35mmF2 in silver. All that being said, I'm not fond of the optics of the 23mmF2. Maybe wide open it doesn't suit the chromatics of strong Aussie daylight, and it doesn't perform well close focusing, but many like that 23mm. I've heard no complaints for the 50mmF2.

    • @PetrGardianTV
      @PetrGardianTV  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've heard only good things about the XF 35mm f2 but since I have the 1.4, I've never felt the need to own both. I agree with you about the 23mm f2 - it's not as good as the other Fujicrons. And 50mm f2 is supposed to be stellar performer but I just don't need 75mm FOV so it's a pass as well. Thanks for sharing your experience. Cheers!

    The ZFc is an older Z50 body for PASM converted to use dials and buttons. Even the humble Fujifilm XT30ii has better specs. In few words Nikon has abandoned its ASP-C option. No new bodies and prime lenses 😮.

      I have both but I'm about the sell the Fuji... The z fc is so much more fun to use and delivers better image quality. Now that the above mentioned adaptor makes fuji lenses work on it is just the icing on the cake.

    • @PetrGardianTV
      @PetrGardianTV  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, it's a redesign - what isn't these days? I much prefer the look of Z fc over Z50 and that matters :) There's plenty of life in the current APS-C Nikon bodies and who knows, new lenses may come too.
      And comparing it to Fujifilm? It's not all about specs...

    Thank you very much for the very interesting video you have made. I am also interested in the BORYOZA adapter in order to use my Fuji x lenses for the FX mount on my Nikon z7. Before buying it I would like to know if the autofocus and apertures work propeerly and if the images retain or lose their quality compared to the fujixt5. So far I have not found any information about it and, if you already have the adapter, I would be very grateful if you could make a video or inform us who are interested by answering this question about your experience. Thank you so much

    Do you always have to edit photos? I’m new in this world of photography

    • @PetrGardianTV
      @PetrGardianTV  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, you don't. Every camera can generate 'edited' files in JPEG format - based on criteria set up in the camera. Fujifilm cameras are popular for this as they have lots of options for generating jpegs - they call those 'film simulations' because they are trying to emulate the look of famous film stocks.

    En realidad lo que todos esperamos es que los lentes zoom de sigma 10-18. y el 18 -50. (f 2.8 ) puedan ser adaptado de forma nativa a nikon z apc . dado que aún no hay un adaptador verdad ??

    The "A" on the dial stands for Aperture Priority, not Auto.

    • @PetrGardianTV
      @PetrGardianTV  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The b-roll is not matching when I'm talking about the Auto function but the Z fc has it - all the way down the bottom.
