+Mar Per my comment was for the people without acne who tell people with acne how to take care of their skin. I know everyone has different skin lol. I knew that going into middle school when I was covered in pimples and other girls had baby smooth skin still from elementary 😧😧

Masks are such a pain for people with glasses because you can't wear them so you have to sit and do nothing for 30 minutes because you can't see anything.

Another thing that helps and I think a lot of people miss is cleaning your pillow cases frequently. Even though you don’t see the trapped oils and dirt, imagine cleaning your face and putting your face back on a oiled filled pillowcase.

    Routine Summary 💆
    Daily Night Time Routine
    1. Wash hands to prevent transfering bacteria onto face
    2. Use wipes to remove the majority of makeup
    3. Oil cleanse with coconut oil and a few drops of tea tree oil. This first step of the Double Cleasing Method really breaks down oil based makeups so they can be washed away easily.
3a. Wash face twice. Exfoliate and cleanse with rotating brush on a third wash.
3b. Facial cleansers that improve dark spots should contain glycolic acid. Those aren't for everyday use. For everyday use, find a cleanser that contains salicylic acid.
    4. Moisturize with aloe vera gel and rose hip oil. Apply with cotton pad.
Morning Routine (& Nights w no Make Up)
    1. Use microfiber towel to gently exfoliate and remove surface dirt and oil
    2. Every 4-5 days dry exfoliate with rotating brush
    3. Double cleansing (oil + face wash)
    4. Moisturize with aloe vera gel and rose hip oil
Bi-Weekly Masks (Use each once per week)
Open your pores with a warm damp towel before applying masks
    Bentonite Clay Mask
    2 TBSP Aztec Bentonite Clay
    2 TBSP Activated Charcoal
    1 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
    1 tsp Tea Tree Oil
    3 TBSP water
    Aloe Honey Mask
    Aloe Vera Gel
    Honey
The amount of both is left to your discretion. Leave on for 30 mins.
    Spot Treatments
    1. AMBI Fade Cream - use for dark spots and scars
    2. Tea tree oil - use for incoming pimples and blemishes
    Prevention
    1. Probiotics keep healthy bacteria thriving on your skin to combat ance causing bacteria
    2. Sunscreen protects the integrity of your skin in the sun light, stopping the sun from darkening blemishes and scars

    • @7cross288
      @7cross288 8 ปีที่แล้ว +11

The only products that would cause the redness is the glycolic and salycylic acid. The glycolic should only be used once a week, and the salicylic CAN be used everyday. If the redness is too much though you should try reducing it 3-4 times a week. Also, the aloe vera, honey and rosehip oil should soothe your skin, so redness shouldnt be a problem.

The Ballad Of The Queen how dark or red hyperpigmentation and post acne scars are can vary based on ur skin tone so it makes sense to watch someone with not only the same skin problems as u but the same skin tone🤷🏽‍♀️

The Ballad Of The Queen i actually tend to see people w fairer skin tones have more redness rather than dark spots it is different bc POC have more melanin

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you Sooooooo Much!! I'm 41 and I've never had problems with my skin, until I got pregnant (21 years ago). Instead of that expected "glow of pregnancy", I got this horrible think called 'The Mask of Pregnancy'. I have been told by many dermatologists that my dark marks/spots over my face will Never go away. I've had to wear makeup everyday for over 20 years, my face looked like a beard of horribly dark scars (cheeks and under my chin..)... Anyway I took a chance, after trying EVERYTHING through the years, and tried your regimen. It's been 2 weeks and I can barely see the scars (and that's for my entire face). I know I will have a completely clear face within in the next 2-3 weeks. Thank you so much and God bless you!!!

And I'm so happy you were able to get noticeable results like I did. Thank you for sharing this part of your skin journey with me. I'm honored. Wishing you continued success with this journey.

I had acne last year and my dermatologist recommended Benzac AC (for morning) and Retina 0.05% ( at night). Although Benzac AC made me worse in the beginning, it helped. My acne has cleared up and i still use them to avoid another breakout. You should try them, honestly they work.

I used to have nodular acne and tried everything to get rid of them - even Accutane. I did eventually stumble upon a simple routine that's like a miracle: FACE WASH consist of the following: in a spray bottle put (1) part mouthwash that contains alcohol & (1) part vinegar. Then put some baking soda in your palm and spray with mixture and apply to face & neck in circular motion, working it into the skin. Rise and pat face dry with a paper towel. Then apply Dr. Schefield scar gel all over face and neck. The liquid mixture acts as a mild acidic peel and dissolve the dead skin and balances the ph in the face, the baking soda acts as a scrub and aids in removing the dead skin. The scar gel heals and rejuvenates the skin. I've been doing that for years. Whenever I find scar gel on sell I buy out the lot. Anyone doing this will notice a difference in their skin in 24 hours. The dark spots took a couple of months to disappear completely.

Peeling ur skin can be super dangerous tho because you can re-scar the area tho. I use tretinoin gel and that helps really well with fast results but i've always been interested in tea tree oil and its effects. I want to learn how to make my pores smaller aswell. Nice video and i like ur facial spin brush better than my clearsonic.

    • @yardiebabe
      @yardiebabe 8 ปีที่แล้ว

I don't know. My dermatologist said that clarisonic brushes are better because they are oscillating brushes where as many of the other spin brushes aren't which actually scratch up the skin. This vanity planet brush looks nice though.

When it comes to hyperpimentation routines, your video is the one of the most watched ,and now I know why. For all hyperpigmentation sufferers, double cleansing ( utilizing an oil then cleanser) is a major factor due to the oil nourishing your skin while the cleanser gets rid of all the grime and dirt without affecting your skin’s barrier. I particularly use a combination of castor oil and grapeseed oil first and then wash with African black soap. , sunscreen and aloe is a must as well!!!! Aloe Vera has skin regenerative properties , and sunscreen should always despite being black. After a month of this regimen, my skin is much brighter, even toned, and hyperigmentation that was terrible on my light skin is barely noticeable!! Have patience Andy remember anything is possible.

    Great video!
I think the most important step in your entire video was,the exfoliating. Im a Black Man who suffered from hyper pigmentation via shaving. My girlfriend taught me about exfoliating and its worked wonders on my dark spots, ingrown hairs etc. For those who cant tolerate the brush, beads, gloves etc, they have fruit based exfoliating enzyme creams that dissolve dead skin.
I think those chemical peels should be the last thing that you try. Mainly if your dark spots are EXTREME, you become desperate or the lack patience that it takes when dealing with scrub type exfoliates. If youre African American, you have to do the peels correctly (or get a professional to do it for you). If not, you could make you situation worse via burns and presence of melanin.
Message to the uploader, I think you could get rid of some of the things that youre doing if you simply changed your diet. Youre heading down the right path with the probiotics. Your GI tract represents the majority of your immune system. When youre not feeding your body the right type of foods, and youre not passing your bowels correctly, youre body will find other ways to get rid of the trash (via pimples etc). Water, and foods like Salmon and Avocados have done wonders for my skin; working from the inside out.

Anyways I wrote down what you did (adding and taking out some parts but still using your method as a blueprint) I consistently followed the steps and I’m happy to say my skin hasn’t been this clear EVER! I’m getting compliments on my skin (never got that before without make up on) that ambi really cleared my acne scars I now have the confidence to walk out of the house without any make up on. hi Jasmin. the only skin tightening i remember was with the mask. so I stopped doing that part. Keysha West I use a mix of honey, an Advil pill and whatever face wash I like. I rinse it after it dries or I'm done flossing and brushing my teeth. It's been helping lol mainly with scarring (cause I use aloe Vera gel as an after moisturizer). Honey by itself is wayyyyy too strong for sensitive skin.

I commented on this video five months ago complimented Keisha on her explanation of the products she used and the results. A week after that I started using these products and implementing her routine into mine and I'm here to tell you guys that this is the best condition my skin has been in, in a very long time. My acne has cleared up a lot and some of my forehead dark marks have started to disappear (slowly but surely.) since I have been taking vitamins everyday my energy and face look so much more alive, the mask are great too they make my face feel so tight. (And those pimples that love to sit under the skin, you know the ones that hurt before they are even ripe, I hardly get those but the best part about it is when I use the tea tree oil on them they disappear over night. I can't thank Keisha enough for the video, well anyway I just wanted to leave this comment for anyone who is thinking about trying this and has problematic skin along with dark spots. Thanks again Keisha ❤️❤️

Great video. i would however be very careful "peeling off" the dark marks, because it is very easy to pull off skin that is not ready to be removed, which can lead to further scaring. Your spin brush or a cloth used in a circular motion might be a safer way to remove that skin.

Little tip from a professional natural skin care therapist; anytime when using a face mask that tends to dry on the skin, like the bentonite clay mask, apply a super thick layer on the skin to prevent it from drying. It will stay active longer and also be gentler to remove, not harming your fragile skin :) Great video btw!

My tip is simple, do a tumeric, lemon, and honey mask. Leave on for 15 mins, or even an hour. Wash face with warm water. Then mix brown sugar, honey, and extra virgin olive oil. This is an exfoliant. Scrub your face then wash with warm water. Then splash cold water. You can tone with witch hazel. Boom your done. If you want add a moisturizer

  • @fanipoos101

+Keishanesta88 I love a lot of the methods you use. I would recommend you also try a combo of milk powder and apple cider vinegar to create your own lactic acid face mask. It is really good at clearing out pores. Also, use raw honey instead of generic store bought ensures all of the natural antibacterial properties, however can be quite drying as it's an astringent. You mention the oil cleansing method, but I would recommend a few more oil such as jojoba and grape seed, and almond if you don't have allergies. I am eager to try the charcoal mask but I will sub egg whites for glue as I also have a lil peach fuzz. I think your video is one of the best DIYs as you provide info but also different routines.

I stand by this video 100% and recommend everyone to give it a try. I have oily/combination skin (but a little more on the oily side) for years I had been looking for a skincare routine that my skin wouldn’t get tired of and I must say, not only has my skin cleared up COMPLETELY but I can literally count on my fingers how many times my skin broke out and I’ve been following this routine for a little over a year. It may seem like a lot of steps but TRUST ME! Once it becomes a regular part of your routine you will get used to it, it’s really not that bad. Think about it, you came to this video because most likely nothing else is working and you’re looking for something to be effective with your routine, putting in a little extra time to cater to your skin won’t hurt. Another game changer that I feel is a MUST while following this routine is making sure you drink a lot of water. I drink 1 gallon of water a day and take vitamin C. You will still see results but I found the best results came when I drank a lot of water with it 🙏🏽.

It is working! Today is 6 Jun 18 and I started on 17 May 18 with this process. I added a few things and this process takes a while but it is so worth it. My hyperpigmentation has lightened a lot. I can't wait to see where I am a month into it. This process is time consuming but my skin looks and feel so healthy and clean and my makeup goes on better. My pimples have died down considerably to almost none! Loving this process. A total lifesaver! I am almost to the point that I can go out without makeup. TY Keishanista88!

I got rid of most of my acne and hyper-pigmentation on my face using a solution of Vitamin C + MSM powder dissolved in distilled water. But these are some good tips! though the Glycolic acid doesn't seem like a good idea for me because harsh acids have an inflammatory affect on my face (using benzoyl peroxide was the WORST decision I ever made). Also drinking lots of water helps tremendously. The spin brush seems like a really good investment!

+Gwendolyn Moore I got my MSM and vitamin c powders from amazon 1kg bulk, I just picked the most economically priced ones, as I take it internally 1teaspoon a day. but yeah I got one of those small 1 fl. oz cosmetic bottle sets from the dollar store, I use the spray bottle and put a teaspoon each of vitamin C and MSM and fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water shake until dissolved. I apply a couple sprays to freshly washed wet face (or other affected areas) and rub in and leave on. Be careful of your eyes. Don't use too much as vitamin C is an acid as well and can irritate your skin in high amounts. I tried nearly every thing (but proactive), bur this and drinking lots of water have been the most effective for me personally.

    • @StelmariaonE7
      @StelmariaonE7 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

+Gwendolyn Moore oh and be careful with this and your clothes, as vitamin c has a bleaching effect on dark clothes and stains brown on light when exposed to sunlight. the solution might turn a little brown over time due to sun exposure, so keep it in a cool dark place if possible to prevent that, but it's still okay if it is, it's just some of the vitamin c is oxidizing.

I suffered from hyperpigmentation from monthly hormonal breakouts, it was a vicious never ending cycle....I decided to balance my hormones naturally by losing 40lbs, eating clean, lots of water and laying off the sugar and it worked wonders for my skin.. I too use a natural face mask every week pureed avocado, raw honey and vitamin E oil in conjunction with a regular skin care routine and my skin is blemish free and I don't get bad breakouts every month anymore....Great video. Will be getting the brush 😉

Your skin outside reflects whats going on inside your body. So you should remedy the inside first. 1. Youre probably low on zinc. You can eat a raw oyster or organic pumpkin seeds for that. People with acne and depression are often low in zinc and its pretty common.
    2. Your body is probably sensitive to a couple of foods so you should either narrow down problem foods or take a food sensitivity test. Often gluten, high sugar diet and dairy cause acne.
    3. For 3 days just eat green apples and drink clean water.
All of these steps cure most acne.

Chocolate, dairy, soda and pizza are some of the most of the common foods that people noticed the breakout from. Also, a lack of exercise. But believe it or not some people have it unknowingly, like a hormonal imbalance. It's under the skin and it's common with people that have excessive acne like all over the back and chest. And that can't easily be recovered by diet or exercise and even over the counter products. some people really do need to see a dermatologist.

People remember what works for her, might not necessarily work for you. Eat really healthy, drink plenty of water, avoid dairy foods, and or any other foods that you may be allergic to. I tend to find cervae hydrating cleanser & moisturizer during Accutane and after my Accutane treatment was over, works wonders for my skin with all the above I mentioned. She can irritate her skin later on by constantly exfoliating, and using all them different products. But like I said we are what we eat. leave out acne causing foods and you will see a dramatic difference.

Keisha does have a great routine for her skin. But very true Jerrian. We have to remember that melanin skin care must be slow and steady. Melanin skin is fantastic because of the "builit in" SPF15 but also melanin is easily bruised. I discuss this in a short 4 minute video of mine. Jerrian, if you could please drop by my channel. I would love your honest opinion on the video.

Also, people need to look in to hypoallergenic makeup. Or makeup that is more on the natural side. There are so many chemicals in makeup that cause clogged, oily pores. Which in turn cause skin death ie: scarring, craters, holes, black marks, etc. (a dermatological nightmare - I've had my share) Balanced hydration and diet plan is also key. What we wear in/on our gut, we tend to wear on our face. Smoking, drinking, etc in excess can cause serious irreversible damage, so please be careful.

I've always been on the fence about getting one of those spin brushes. I've never used them, but I see more and more people suggesting them. I just might order this one because the price isn't bad at all with that dicount. Is it really all it's cracked up to be??

As long as you don't over use it, you should be fine. One or two times a day. People who do it three times a day tend to have skin irritation.

Yes!!! I can not advocate this spin brush enough. My breakouts have diminished and my skin feels softer and looks cleaner

Kelsey834 I hope you've gotten one already!! the first time I used this when I was done SO MUCH DIRT WAS ON THE BRUSH. I was never able to get those results with a towel. my skin felt so much softer and cleaner. if you use this with the right facial cleanser for you, be ready for perfect skin!

I never saw a point in these since the clarsoic is the best. I just got one of those like 3 years ago. I dont use it 2x a day bit every other night.

I use a Clarisonic which I wouldn't call I spin brush cos it doesn't exactly spin, the movements are more ultrasonic. But it has changed my life! My skin is so much smoother now and I have cystic acne and hyperpigmentation and deep scars as well. And I'm able to use it everyday without any irritation.

Cathy Berry I'm just wondering how long it takes to do this routine. Her skin is definitely pretty and I admire her for her dedication. Great video!
