Even if the Knicks were to win they're about to be disqualified for not having enough players to play smh
Im devastated . Seasons over but praying to the basketball gods to do us well
They do have other players they can play, theyre just now top tier talent
not a bad year either way, they obviously have a bonafide superstar just hitting his prime to build around
im a pacers fan and i feel so bad for the knicks rn
@@austinplayz960 hopefully Game 7 will be a good match. Whether the Knicks or Pacers make it, SOMEONE has to take the Celtics down in the ECF. They've honestly had an easy road due to other teams losing more than one key player while the Celtics have only been without KP. If I'm not mistaken the Pacers are down one man. Mathurin I believe is out?
The doc literally said all the injuries for the Knicks are not related to the heavy minutes, and yet still people in the comment sections gunning for Thibs. Give me a break😂
Content is not meant to be taken as medical advice. He doesn’t actually know whether these injuries are related to heavy minutes or not because he hasn’t evaluated them himself. End of story.
People are real slow and love to throw blame Oscar. Us Knicks fans who have been watching all year know that this is not a blame on thibbs. Almost every single one of the injuries that have happened has been because of ONE incident. People just like to push blame
@@lyinbobbycottonseedit doesn’t take a genius to see most injures that have occurred happened because of ONE situation. Ankle roll, falling on shoulder, over stretching leg, none of that is stress related

“So Hart might be a case where we truly saw some overuse from all those extended minutes”
I am a Pacer fan and win or lose game 7 the Knicks deserve alot of credit. The Pacers can use some of their playing toughness...
Absolutely, they’ve played with heart all playoffs. I’m glad we forced a game 7 tonight, but much respect to the Knicks. I hope y’all catch some luck with these injuries, shit’s not fair
Ur the first pacers fan I’ve seen to give us credit. Respect bro!
A true Pacer fan hates the Knicks.
@brandontodd6737 A true fan of the game recognizes and appreciates good play no matter where it comes from. What I said in no way means I want the Knicks to win Sparky...
Look I’m a pacers fan and I truly hope we win. However, if we don’t, I want the knicks to do well and get healthy soon. Feel bad for y’all.
I suffered an ab strain earlier this year and couldn’t jump without extreme pain, even with tape, it really impacts even daily life.
I popped an ab muscle it hurt from my groin to almost my chest for months
yep it is the worse pain, can't laugh, cough or move well for a while.
tape is absolutely useless

@BrianSuttererMD: As an Internal Medicine Physician myself along with being a huge Knicks fan and big NBA fan, according to my diagnostic perception, Josh Hart is suffering from Left-Sided Rectus Abdominis Muscle Strain which can take a few weeks to heal.
I bet he will play through it with pain in game 7. This Knicks team has a lot of grit and I expect Donte and Brunson will shot better in home
Regardless they win or not. I applaud them for there grit and effort. If aint for the injury they would totally give boston a fight. It is what it is.
Both boston and pacers were lucky they face injury ridden team .
I hope this is just a cramp. In a recent interview, I heard Hart used to do some bicycle routine at the end of a basketball game...

Which as you see is short sighted
@@mitchelldavis9372nah man that’s strategy which is a part of sports , you can play your team exactly as you wish and it’s up to the other team to counter that , if lebron was smart he’d play when the opps bench team was out and let the best defensive players try and handle the onslaught of his positional foe lol

I had the exact same injury last year. I got a hard contact in my abs and then in the next play, catching a rebound like him I felt a sharp abdominal pain. It was so painful I couldn't walk properly for a week
NBA worst nightmare…Pacers in the ECF.

Cant catch a break ever if they keep Tibbs as their coach. Dude should never be allowed to run a team every again
What do you mean catch a break ppl have been saying for well over a decade that Thibs destroys his own players.
This shit was preventable!

I’ve been waiting on your upload!!!
dude! I was watching this guy struggling holding his abdomen the whole game and I'm quietly thinking, this could be a very dangerous injury! Get him to the hospital!!!
Unlikely to be dangerous since there was no mechanism of injury. If it was holding both his front side, AND more so, his back side of the abs, then I may be concerned for a spleen rupture but a Castell's percussion test would confirm it's not a spleen issue. No MOI other than excess stretch likely would only bring about a muscle strain.
hospital? for an ab strain? LOL. What do you think the hospital can do for that?
!!RUPTURE!!
I like that Brian’s putting his sports takes out there now lol 👏🏻
This is fantastic that we have access to this kind of content for free.
thx Doc!
Nice to see unbias video on this. No agenda but to clearly diagnose what going on with Hart and the rest of the Knicks
Love this team. Hope for a win tomorrow, but I believe the injuries have done us in. Great season guys though. Get healthy and start planning moves for next year.
someone send this to the knicks front office
The Knicks are literally the "Final Destination" of the NBA currently. Julius Randle was already taken out, then Mitch Robinson was taken out by Embiid, Bogy was taken out by Oubre, OG is out, and now Josh Hart. Next it might be Jalen Brunson again since he was injured.
The whole team will be taken out, by elimination.
THANK YOU for rebutting all the people chalking the injuries up to thibs overplaying guys. the extreme minutes are a product of the injuries, not the other way around.
That's just a victim's reaction. He can still decide to play them only 40 minutes. He could've have Burks in for 5 minutes to have Josh Hart play 43 instead of 48. Playing a player in a playoff series every other day for 48 minutes in 3 straight games is just crazy and it's almost impossiple that is has nothing to do with this 'weird' injury he has now --> a direct result of too many minutes, too much mental pressure, to little time for the body to recover back to 100%
@@woutakasinistraVictim? You have internet brain. They aren’t blowing teams out. Players have to play to advance. Thib’s isn’t the issue, depth is
This would be a fine excuse if Thibs didn’t already do this to Chicago and Minnesota
He literally says it’s likely due to overuse in the video. So many comments here exposing themselves as a either not watching the video, or lying about it to push a narrative
hey doc is there anything that Josh hart can use to numb that area? I read a similar article were the cavs was willing to inject Jarrett allen with something to numb the pain in his rib cage area but Jarrett Allen refused to take it there has to be a reason why he refused it
I hate this assessment. But you are the best. Thanks for putting this together.
I was checking your channel during commercial after Anthony Edwards fell on his back. Glad you didn’t have to make a video on him.
Playoffs are tough and injuries happen and the NBA is unique where as other sports you get a rest some nights NBA players play the full game props to both Knicks and Pacers hell of a series!!
Knicks had so much potential man it’s depressing.. shit they r a game away from the ECF and most of the team is either out or playing crippled… literally
Crazy when i listen to you list of all the injured knicks at the end lol it really puts it in perspective
6 people are out , you can't expect tibs to give serious minutes to people he never playedin the regular season. Honestly I only blame him for Hart and JB getting worse because he tried to stay in the game
can someone explain the weird tape jobs? like luka had one on his leg that looked more the a fashion choice than a medical thing. how does that tape on josh hart help his injury?
Damn that must be freaking painfull
Coach Thibs should learn a lesson on what the 1999 Knicks did on an impossible win on the playoffs but 5 players are already been injured! 😱😱😱😱
tom thibedou hasnt learned a god damn thing from derrick rose and luol deng a decade ago. As a bulls fan. Now josh hart limping with injury and this is the guy he has play 45 minutes per game. It was bound to happen. As much as i would prefer thibs over billy donovan and past coaches since his firing, there was a reason i was tiny bit okay with letting him go because he overworks his players, starters for that matter
@@melvynwindmon1927Josh hart openly says he wants to play all the minutes. This injury had 0 to do with overuse. Did you watch the video you commented on?
@@melvynwindmon1927he literally said in this video A SPORTS MEDICINE DOCTOR, there’s not a case to place blame. It’s a dumb narrative you’re pushing
@@ZachWilsonsMomsFriend Some players (with fighting spirit) always want to play full minutes bruh, its coach's and team PTs job to manage the minutes. Plus there are very few injuries where you can direct link to overuse and fatigue (for example, if you look at one play alone without context, you can't blame overuse if someone tears ACL on that play, but overuse and fatigue definitely play a role). On the other hand however if given less minutes the probability of those injuries decreases.
@@user-jf9fd8pc6nThey haven’t been blowing teams out. They wouldn’t be here in round 2, game 7 if it wasn’t for their playing time. Knicks need to play to win.

*league should let you sign emergency free agents if you lose too many players to injury* 👍
They have that for regular season. Not for playoffs.
Honestly my first thought was that this sounds stupid, But the more i thought of it i think i agree lol
In the Playoffs would be nice what happens if the whole team can't play lol

If this were the regular season. How long would this injury keep a player out?
Left lateral abdominal strain 4th caliber muscle pull
Bruh the moment that this happened I imagined the Doc breaking it down on youtube 🤣 I guessed that it was an ab strain and not something internal, caused by overuse of the ab muscles in the overhead extension type motion that he repeatedly does while rebounding.
For Game 7 (FYI)
@7:20 mins issue as doctor says.
Fact:
Thibs being old skool
"Josh Hart- tough it out push through the pain play 45mins til rupture the injury like drose"
I don’t have any medical credentials but I’ve had an abdominal strain literally in the same exact spot and the rubbing and messaging trying to alleviate it is all too familiar. I dealt with it for like 2 months before it finally healed and it’s a bitch to move around much less play NBA playoff basketball. I think he’s going to play anyways but I think he’ll be very hampered.
I think you mant game 7 in the intro. I thought it was ribs, either bruised or broken. Both very painful.
that tape on his stomach..lmao
Doc ever here of a cortisone shot??? Can it help him to play????
I went up for a ball in the same stretched out position as well as getting contacted by a defender. I suffered a hiatal hernia. For a couple weeks I had to sleep with additional pillows to elevate my head, as being in a stretched out position was painful. Couldn't lift weights for over 6 months, but pain was manageable and could play basketball.
I don't think this is the injury Hart suffered as his injury appears to be off to the side and not near the lower end of the sternum where a hiatal hernia occurs. Just wanted to let other people know a possible injury that can occur from that exposed position.
Should I use olive oil instead of canola oil when baking a cake? I want to bake a moist cake so I think using olive oil will preserve more moisture and not dry out

Why does this dr. Remind me of james Franco's brother
Could it be an internal injury, for example a ruptured spleen?
Without any contact?
@@WindigoMac Hart was injured on a previous play, when he was elbowed by Nembhard. At least according to Doris, I haven't seen it.
a few plays before that the one you show. he got hit in that area by #2 Ind. player
I'm guessing an injury like this repairs itself. So how long will it take before he's potentially 100% again?
TV commentators even said that Hart’s injury was from a hit of an Indiana player (Siakam) in that play.
But it wasn’t 🤔
Bro how do you even injure your abs. Wtf. Athletes go through so much injuries its crazy
In the words of Camron from it is what it is; the best ability is availability.
It happened the play before hit got punch
The thing with Julius Randle was the same thing with Derrick Rose. They should not have been in the game in the first place when you’re up 15 with 4 minutes left or 12 with 1:30 minutes left.
The loose ball he won on the floor with Siakim was weird and came after the initial signs of injury though. He basically did a weighted crunch to pull the ball loose and it didn’t seem to hurt. It’s Buddy time for Divo or we lose this series. He’s going to need to go off in game 7.
Bro added in his prognosis for new york's season too
Being tired and or dehydrated is the number one leading cause of injury. This is not rocket science. Your movements are just not as crisp with intent as when you are rested, movement is slightly slower, thus unintended results. These guys need to work in the pickle juice and somehow get as much rest as possible.
I give anyone who plays through injuries props. It’s all mental.
Narrator- Brian was right. It was indeed over for the Knicks.
Brian, I think it's over for the Knicks as well. It's about time, and it sucks for my Knicks. But miracles do happen sometimes, and we will see if there will be a phenomenal game in Game 7 at MSG.

The. Knicks are champions regardless they have done just a Miracle playing depleted and they did the unfathomable this season since January, big up Thibs Big Up León, Big up team
I want to give thibs some flowers for his playstyle. Rigth if the playoff start he had many injured players. And he decided that he would rather let them play 5-6 more minutes than other teams to get the series done in a game or two less. And given the bench he gas i can understand that. I know it was already later in that run, but that blowout against the pacers… he literally had 2 rotation players on the floor because there he had NO other players available. And i think the only two players he literally overplayed are hart und brunson. Hartenstein and Robinson played
i have a eureka desk L can attest to quality
HOW ABOUT HART UNDER IN REB AND PR UNDERS
I've experienced this. I'd rather feel this than a hamstring tear. He's young so he'll be 55/60% in game 7
So ur saying he should play at 60% healthy? So basically make things worse for himself playing injured and re aggravate it?
@@porfiriato84 its game 7 and his job is to play basketball. i garantee you him at 70% is better then most players at 100%.
Sorry @Brian Sutterer, but I have to disagree with you on the minutes-opinion.
These injuries, that Anunouby and Hart had are very likely to be from too many minutes.
Not just for 1 game, but piling up. The body doesn't get enough rest from playing 45+ minutes, still leaves some scar tissue in your muscles and as it goes on and on, the weakest link will just give in.
These type of abdominal strains, or oblique strains, happen so many times when a player is either not warmed-up properly or really tired.
Because your 'belly muscles' ARE the core of your body, and connecting your upper part with your lower part, they are used in every single motion. Either to stabilize the upper or lower part, or to move them together.
Hamstring is also a muscle that is a typical muscle that's injured a lot in overuse.
Mind you, overuse can also happen if there's too much mental stress, which doesn't give the body enough time to heal and recover. And I think it's no coincidence Joel Embiid gets injured around the playoffs all the time. Rarely do you see injuries in the first week of the season for example.
So yes, some part of it, like Randle's one, is unfortunte. But the 'freak accident' from Brunson could also very well be because of overuse, leading to a worse mind-body connection (propriocepsis), leading to injury. Thibs has done this all his life and it isn't the first time his team is being injured all around.
Ab strain is not good. He will not be effective and will probably bow out early. Knicks are dropping like flies, geez
