You raise me up is about resurrection life in Jesus- We have a spirit man within us which is our real life... this is why we feel this way-we yearn to have our connection with our father in heaven and can- here on earth by asking Jesus to come into our hearts. It's called being born again, born of the spirit. - then we can get to know him from within our hearts and have his kingdom dwell within while here on earth.
That is honestly one of the absolute most beautiful and amazing spine chilling piece I’m a trumpet player x cornet and that guy has amazing tone and sound
just got my cornet back from the shop, It was my Christmas gift but needed repairs . Found this and after 60 yrs fell back in love with the beautiful instrument . I will try to find this sheet music and play it for my church and with Gods blessing it will be acceptable for all my brothers and sisters in Christ
Well done that man ! I have Bren playing Trumpet , Cornet and bugle for nearly 60 years I just love playing so much . needless to say I am belong to quite a few bands in U.K. and in Europe loads if fun , I am very lucky I have a very understanding Wife !
I’m a comeback player. I spend most my time on my old coronet . I also play a Flugalhorn and trumpet. This is a beautiful rendition and well done.Bravo!
Wow, beautiful brass ensemble full of outstanding players. I love cornet and flugelhone. The flugel sounded like a woodwind instrument. Just awesome! Love from Zambia. 🇿🇲
This is outstandingly beautiful I came here to listen to this instrument being played as my sons best friend plays it and I didn’t realise how beautiful a sound it makes ❤truly touched by this… What a talent thank you for sharing it with the world.
Brilliant piece music a really good well rounded band. I'm a cornet player and Soprano player but what I heard the tuning is spot on the balance spot on. Everything is spot on well done 👍
I started on cornet, did a few years of flugel, moved to Soprano cornet which was by far my favourite! I always said playing soprano is like being a goalkeeper....there is only one of you and if you make a mistake it will be seen and heard.....at competition level, you can soon get disowned by the entire band 😂😂😂
Magnifique solo, très beau son ! C'est magnifique ! Ça fais maintenant 11 ans que je suis cornetiste :) PS: bonjour à Franz (basse) et Romain (euphonium)
I play in a New Orleans Style Second Line Brass Band (The Big Easy Easton Brass--we have some things in YT), and while I play baritone sax in that band, I also muck about with trumpet/bone/cornet/tuba, etc. I write because the intonation and other "perfections" of your band is refreshing. One gets used to "slop", and then there is your ensemble! Great work! I will share this with my bandmates. Though our "concept" is different, they should KNOW what IS POSSIBLE! Some are aware, but some younger people may not know how good a brass band can sound.
I prefer Hymns that fire up the soul. And God the Father send your Holy Spirit on each of these musicians and on all who participate in listening. Father in Jesus’ name . .
Great soloist - but all credit to the flugel player at the opening! A well balanced and sympathetic band accompaniment too.
And the alto horn player. Both played as well as the soloist.
@@Couesnonfl If not better.
Brilliant the opening phrase set the superb playing standard, love this approach .Thank you .
all three soloists great
Agree about the flugel player. Love the way he looks he was on the piss last night and had been dragged out his bed at the last minute!
I know I’m way late but wow this dude’s dynamics... heck the whole group has a huge dynamic range!
i think that too XD
Yeah i know what you mean, that makes the soung soo much more emotional, i love this.
It feels like Im in the gate of heaven, I can't stop crying.
Same.I get goosebumps listening to this.it makes me feel just like how you feel like the gates of heaven

I might be a little subjective but the cornet has one of the most beutiful tones out there
Why didn't the flugelhorn play that solo... That Player is a genius! :D Beautiful performance. just like the whole Band felt this Piece at once. WOW.
National brass band of nz
@@colinhedley7786 It's not National Brass Band of NZ but the Brass Band Nord-Pas-de-Calais from France 😉
colin hedley ,
Would have loved the flugel player to have done the whole solo, flugels are so underrated.
And Coronets but you are still right
@@justjevil5 me too started cornet at 4 years old, still have one and a trumpet, so different though.
So are baritones.
@@justjevil5 From the sound perspective it sure is quite difficult but from the looks it's very easy to distinguish.
I agree, but the flugel wouldn't have sounded so good with these higher pitches, IMO. At least if I was playing it. More suited to mid range I think.
That is honestly one of the absolute most beautiful and amazing spine chilling piece I’m a trumpet player x cornet and that guy has amazing tone and sound
Sehr, sehr gut gespielt!!
Bravo an den Solisten, aber auch an das ganze Orchester, eine wunderbare Klangbalance in allen Registern.
SUPER, BRAVO

Amazing playing, not just from the cornet player, but from the flugal horn player as well!
Thx for the lovely music. It moves me. What more can one ask, what greater gift can you give.

Of course you do realise that this was not written as a Hymn, but has been hijacked by the churches to bolster their waning popularity
Toll!!!! Sehr schön gespielt
Ja, Ich finde das wunderbar
Großartig. Sehr schön, um die Differenz der unterschiedlichen Instrumente des hohen Blechs zu hören.
