Wow I just stumbled across this & I believe it’s one of the best tutorials on painting these trees! I’m inspired now if only they look as good as these! I would love to see you do the background in a video! Maybe!?
I can paint portraits no problem, trees?? I F them up EVERY time. This is HANDS DOWN the best tutorial video I have seen for trees. Thank you. I’m gonna try in right now. ❤
Thank you very much. I recently discovered your channel and i really appreciate your detailed tutorials without editing. It gives the feeling of an authentic art lesson.
Wow you made it look so easy and cool! I have seen lots of videos! You just became my favorite art TH-cam teacher. I just start painting 2 months ago and I am 45 years old.
Great Idea! My paint always bleeds through tape unless I paint a thin layer of varnish for exmaple over the edge of the tape. How come your lines are already crispy?
Love it and you came recommended to me by another artist whose tutorials I enjoy :)
I’ve never seen the tape method used for painting birch tees, very cool
Thanks for sharing!

Very simple and effective. Thanks.
Working on a painting now. I'm going to try this on an edge of the scene.
What a great trick! I use blue tape in watercolor, but I never would’ve thought to use it for acrylic.
So happy to help! 🖤🖤🖤

👏👏👏👍👍👏🍀☀️☀️
2 questions. 1. What colors did you use for the background? 2. What type of tape did you use? I'm surprised it didn't rip the paint off.
this was a long time ago, i dont remember what i used for the background sorry :( the tape is scotch blue painters tape
Awesome technique! Thank you Laura- could you show us how to do the background?
i have lots of background/acrylic blending tutorials :)
What was the last brush you used for details? Can you please tell me?
That's a liner brush from the Daco Fine Detail set :)
How did you get the background so clean with the birch trees?❤
i have acrylic blending tutorials that can help :)
Question, if I paint on thick paper, will this work also with the tape?
i am not sure
