We use these for huge 160db systems with multiple large subs and 10’s of thousands of watts. Ain’t no 3/4 inch silk gonna keep up with that. So you need mids and highs like this.
I have these same prv tweeters I'm about to install into my doors for my build. I'm sure they are insanely crisp. I have 5 skar pax 6.5. Then two prv 6mr500ndy mids also. Then my subs are two incriminator audio death penalty 12s. I'm trying to be loud. Just cost alot and takes time lol. It's fun though.
Mark.404 cross them high so they can take power and get loud! Like 3k-15k! With pro audio the midrange helps reinforce the tweeter if it has a high FS itself and it can obviously play lower and louder!
Nice video brother, my ear likes the Pioneer though it is reproducing clear HF than the PRV. Tweeter is doing its duty, if we want to add some mids, we can add a midrange. Good work Mike.

These are used primarily in Brazilian systems. They face a whole bunch of speakers outside to the crowd and blast it loud. I like mine on the A pillars of my car. You need a serious audio system for these to match, and on top of that, you must be used to very loud music in order to listen to these at high volume lol
with a quick google i couldn't find any replacement diaphragms for the Pioneer. i would never buy a bullet tweeter if replacement diaphragms aren't available. i had a Beyma bullet dead out of the box once but luckily was able to replace a diaphragm on that.

Not a good demo. These are best at 5k to 22k Hertz. You have too much distortion feeding through. Believe me the pioneer pro gets unbelievably loud. But you got to filter them with eq. I'm running 4 pros 2x 3.5" and 2 4 inch. And I dont run the bass blocker. Using kicker kxa 400x4 with a Rockford dsr1 maestro for processing the clear sound

they're both made in China. (i ithink) the Chinese copy everything LOL including the F35. you have to take in account. that Pioneer is 4 ohm speaker. while the PRV is 8 ohms more is more ment for use with home audio. rather car audio. At the same input voltage a - driver will draw 3db more power - driver. If both drivers have the same SPL at a given watt , yes, the 4 ohm - is going to sound louder . Both have the same efficiency. that's why the Pioneer is louder.
Buy the diaphram . There should be a screw under the sticker on the bottom. Hold the bullet in place and remove. Then unscrew the tweeter flare. The blown diaphram pops right out . Then place the new one in and screw the tweeter back together . Wala... brand new. A diaphram should be like 15-30$

That pioneer plays up to 27khz the prv only 20 kHz the higher the kHz the finer amd sweeter it will play I don't care about mids that's not a super tweeter job to play mids pioneer wins full stop
