Thanks Mark, I have an 06 IS250 with what seems like the world's smallest sail panel and it's been holding me back from installing my dream system. Mark- thank you so much for this video! You don't know HOW MUCH this video helps me. I put 2.5 inch MX20 Kappa midrange speakers in the kick panels of my same model jeep. I had no clue how I was going permanently mount them and more importantly, blend the finish in. Right know, they are mounted mucky-mouse-style just to hold and angle them where I needed (it's a little bit of an eyesore, but functional). Applying the method used in this video for my midranges will work perfectly for what I needed! I have no 3d printer, but I can cut and use MDF instead. Thank you thank you thank you! Your channel is invaluable to those of us who are able to DIY in our personal installs, but lack experience in CAF. Plus, you saved me a crap-ton of money paying someone else!

Hey Mark, I love this build series. I would like to request, if possible, that you show the actual tuning of the system. The examples of tuning you've done in the past are very helpful, I think you viewers would get a ton out of actually watching you tune the system so we can see the actual settings you choose. I understand every system is different but observation of your choices would be very much appreciated.

Very nice work. I installed for 19 years and this art form has come a loooong way. All the way back to aperiodic membranes and compression drivers with Q-Forms in the kick panels. Been there and seen a lot of stuff come and go. I am just about to replace the old JL stuff in my 2004 Marauder and wanted to go with components this time for the front stage. Doing A pillar tweeters isn't an option due to gauges being there. Small sail panels like this will facilitate tweeter installation and the ability to adjust the sound stage. Plus they're easily removable and replaceable. It's always lacked height and instrument location definition. From day one I though the sweet spot was aimed more to the rearview mirror. Based on your installation method, I believe I will go for the center of the B-pillars. I might even use a couple magnets and fine tune the aim before I commit to bodywork and a finished product. Thanks a million.

Mark, for precise jobs with the Dremel tool I suggest you get the small extension for it. It will make it much easier to handle. My plan is to make rings out of MDF and then turn them into a pod since my REAUDIO XXX tweeters are HUGE! Then make some sort of axle that locks in place for them which will make tuning the sound much easier.

Pro body filler tip, when applying filler to an odd shape like Mark did here use a pair of strong scissors or tin snips to cut your applicator into smaller pieces. For instance Mark could have cut his applicator into about 3 or 4 pieces making it so much easier to apply, plus it gives you a few extras for the next time you need them. Another great video Mark.

As usual 😊 Ty. I'm sure you know, but if you put the can in WARM water not Hot. For a few minutes and then shake. But by doing that, it flow's and lays down better than cold. But that tip is for a dyi with spray paint.
