- 06 जून, 1984 को अमृतसर स्थित दरबार साहिब यानी स्वर्ण मंदिर परिसर में भारतीय सेना ने प्रवेश किया. सेना ने स्वर्ण मंदिर को चारों ओर से घेर लिया. भारी गोलाबारी और संघर्ष में सैकड़ों लोगों की मौत हुई.
इस दौरान मंदिर परिसर भी क्षतिग्रस्त हुआ. इस हमले में जरनैल सिंह भिंडरावाले और लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल शहबेग सिंह सहित कई प्रमुख लोगों की मौत हुई. इस अभियान को ऑपरेशन ब्लू स्टार का नाम दिया जाता है.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨਾਲ 1947 ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਨਹਰੂ ਪਟੇਲ ਤੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਦੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਉਹ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਤੇ ਸੰਤਾ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਨੂੰਨ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਣਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਮੰਗੇ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੜੵ ਪਹਿਲਾਂਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਇੰਗਲਿਸ਼ ਚ ਅੰਤਕਵਾਦੀ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਅੰਤਕਵਾਦੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਸ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਦੂਜੇ ਧਰਮ ਘਟ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਸਲਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਿਤੀ ਹੈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਲਗ ਸਟੇਟ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ1950 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਜ਼ਿਦਾਬ ਕਹਣ ਅਨੇਕਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆ ਤੇ ਤਸ਼ਦ ਕਿਤਾ 11 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਗੂਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਇਹ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦਾ ਆਤੰਕਵਾਦ ਸੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦਾ ਜੇ ਸਿੱਖ 1982ਵਿਚ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਨਕਾਨ ਕਿਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੂੰ ਹਕ ਮੰਗ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੁਣ ਕਿਸਾਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਤੰਕਵਾਦੀ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਹਣਾ ਐਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ 1ਜੂਨ 1984ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਨੇ ਸਿਖਾ ਦੇ ਸਬ ਤਉਂ ਵਡੇ ਤਖਤ ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਿਤਾ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਢਾਏਆ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇਆ ਨਿਕੇ ਨਿਕੇ ਬਚੇਆ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸ਼ਡੇਆ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਕਰੋ ਹੁਣ ਸੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਾਮ੍ਹਣੇ ਹੈ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦੇ ਦਲੇਉ ਅਸੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਹਕਾ ਦੀ ਗਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਕਾ ਦੀ ਗਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਤੰਕਵਾਦੀ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ
They attacked 11 other gurdwara during operation bluestar and had preplanned to attack golden temple by practising in doons valley in india. Furthermore they choose to attack the temple on the 5th gurus martydom when they knew pilgrams from all over would be visiting.
Not 11 other Gurudwara Sahibs it was 37 other Gurudwara Sahibs along with Golden temple.
