- The beginning of tensions and violence in Punjab can be traced to a time nearly six years before Operation Blue Star. But the foundations for the rift were laid nearly 11 years before it.
If an exact date was to be fixed for the beginning of Violence in Punjab, then it would be 13th of April, 1978. In a scuffle between Akalis and Nirankaris, two sects in Sikhisim, 13 Akalis were killed. This incident marked the rise of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. But, prior to this incident, a resolution was adopted by the Shiromani Akali Dal in 1973. The resoloution was the Anandpur sahib Resolution, which demanded autonomy for the state of Punjab. Bhindranwale took upon himself to implement the aims of the resolution.
Even though Operation Blue Star was launched by the central government to tackle Bhindranwale, and the operation ultimately led to the assassination of Indira Gandhi, it is the Congress which was responsible for bringing Bhindranwale to the forefront of Punjab politics.
In the elections following the emergency, the Congress lost power in Punjab and the Akali Dal formed the government. Giani Zail Singh was a prominent leader of Punjab at that time. To counter the growing power of the Akali Dal, Zail Singh, along with Sanjay Gandhi, decided to propel a counter force. For this purpose, Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was selected.
But once he gained power, Bhindranwale became a force they could not control.

I'm a Maharashtrian but here our ancestors told us to respect Sikhs as because of this community the border of India was safe from foreign invaders for many years. Respect for Sikhs in heart, mind and soul.

I also had left after arguing with blind faith peoples as i had to go to my home town in Punjab. It was nice to see people leaving peacefully, celebrating each other festivals. Coming back in train, i have seen different group of youths/peoples consist of Hindu/Sikh travelling and having fun sharing food with each other. It makes me feel good after dealing with hateful people for full week here. I feel happy for peace there and I am also going to leave commenting here for hate mongers people.

hey man Bhindranwale was a clever guy that's why he a Stored up a stockpile of assault rifles & 17 grenades boxes ,other than this he stocked up RPG MMG, LMG, GPMG & positioned those guns in tactical areas & fortified the Amritsar Golden Temple and killed potential Police Informers and also a DIG of the Punjab Police........ The Prime Minister Indira Gandhi planned to teach Bhindranwale a lesson. But there were many civilians inside the Akal Takhted & militants forced those pilgrims as human shield ⛨. After listening this Indira Gandhi ordered The Army to neutralize the Golden Temple and kick off the terrorists.. But the Army didn't have much experience to fight with the guerrilla militants in residential areas & Hostage rescue operations so the seniors tried to overpower the militants by using Tanks.... The militia were took up strategic positions so if the infantry attacks them they must run 200 yards without any shield and in1984 we didn't have Mechanized forces (the mechanized Infantry soldiers now uses BMP2 Hind). could have do it without much loss But the Army got to get inside Akal Takht so they called the Tanks to form the shield for the protection of Infantry and fire co-axial heavy MGs and howitzer that's why there was some damages. But afterwards the govt created NSG (SAG) and NSG (Rangers') when Babbar Khasha militants started to fortify the temple and we had intelligence reports Our Hnbl PM late Rajiv Gandhi presumed Babbar Khalsa almost took over the temple & They knew the Government would not repeat the mistakes like Bluestar But Rajiv Gandhi ordered a Police 🚔🚔Operation and NSG works under home ministry so we launched Operation Black Thunder by the special action group of the NSG .... there were not media coverages and it was looking like a minor Police 🚨 Operation bcoz the NSG(SAG) Operators started the operation wearing Punjab Police 🚨 Uniforms............. And The Commander of the total operation was an IPS officer KPS. Gill. who almost finished the Khalistan movement .......
1984 Unanswered questions for Indians 1. Why Indra Gandhi never criticized Saint Bhindranwala till he was dead?
2. Why there was no arrest orders or warrant issued against Saint Bhindrawala, by any court in India against him in 1984, even before 06/06/1984?
3. Why demand of Khalistan is associated with Sant Bhindrawala? There was never a demand of Khalistan, until Sarbat Khalsa 1986. Sant Bindrawala never demanded Khalistan, his own words as per Indian Govts own minister Subramanian Swamy “ Bhindrawala did not demand Khalistan, but said he won’t reject it (Khalistan) if anybody gifts it to them.”
4. Why Indira Gandhi refused DC of Amritsar Mr. Gurdev Singh Brar’s request to avoid bloodshed that, he will go inside with arrest warrant in golden temple and will come out with Sant Bhindranwala, reason why they refuse to do? Mr. Brar was transferred on 03/06/1984 and install Ramesh Inder Singh on 04/06/16.
5. Why Indira had ordered in February 1983 of preparation of Operation blue star 18 months before June 1984,even Sant Bhindrawala was’nt even in Amritsar that time. Why Army, air force, BSF and CRPF was planning and practising attack? Why had the army built replicas of Golden Temple at Chakrata and Sarasawa in 1983 to train. Sant Bhindrawala only settled in Golden temple in January 1984 not in 1983.
6. If Indra Gandhi was anxious to resolve the issue peacefully through Harkishan Singh Surjit, Swaran Singh, Raghunandan Lal Bhatia and many others until 3rd of June as Govt. claim, then why did she ask General Sunderji to make plan for attack on the Golden Temple in January 1984?
7. Why Govt. used Tanks only at Golden Temple disobeying Indian Constitution?
*Even Indian Constitutions says not to use Tanks on Indian soil against its own citizen. India has never used Tanks for any other operations in India, even against Kashmiri militants, Naxali or any other militant groups.
8. Why Indian Govt used 16000 strong army and all 3 defence forces against Golden Temple, Army for Ground attack, Air-force for helicopter raids and Indian Navy’s Frogmen in Sarovar, to capture 300 armed men?
9. Why Sikh Reference Library and Museum was looted with 16 Truck loads taken? Including rare hand written references and big some of artefacts with historic value.
10. Why the attack was ordered on 3rd June knowing that its Gurpurab and abut 10,000 pilgrims will be at golden temple, why not before Gurpurab or after Gurpurab? the reason was not to kill or capture Sant Bhindranwala, but to hit and destroy the dignity and self determination, pride of Sikh “Sri Akaal Takht”.
11. Why Indra Gandhi ordered Chief Minster Darbara Singh to release Bhindranwala when he was put behind bars by the Punjab police in 1983?
12. Why President Zail Singh and Buta Singh bowed at Bhindrawala’s feet in public at the bhog ceremony of Jathedar Santokh Singh? Why did not Indira Gandhi fire them? It is well known that Jathedar Santokh Singh was Indra Gandhi’s man. She got rid of him when she found no use for him. He was killed by his own security guards from the police department!
13. Why Rajiv Gandhi on a visit to Chandhigarh on May 5, 1984 called Bhindranwale “a saintly man with out political ambition?”
14. Why did the government use such a large number of troops with tanks and helicopters to capture or kill “a saintly man without political ambition ” and his 40 associates?
15. Why 74 other Gurdwaras were also attacked simultaneously when Sant Bhindrawala and his band were encamped only in the Golden Temple complex?
16. Does all other 74 Gurdwaras, had Sant Bhindrawala and weapons, as the main reason/excuse given by Indians was to flush out Sant Bhindrawala and supporters? Why were they attacked?
17. Why didn’t Govt. follow Lt Gen S.K Sinha’s recommendations of peaceful ways to handle the situation? i.e Cut off electricity and water supply and besiege Golden temple, Sant and his supporter were not attacking, They were in defensive mod not attacking.
18. Why did’nt govt Null and void the 1992 election? because there was only 24% voting, even out of 24% Congress party got 9% votes only.
19. So what's point of being claiming of worlds biggest democracy where someone with less then 2% votes got mandate to rule the rest 98%?why don't Indians say it's not democracy but a India being Demoncrazy.
20. Why there is myth of 30,000 Hindu killing in Panjab in 1984? Why this propaganda? There is no Govt official or unofficial records exist of 30,000 Hindu killing.
No actual Jhujharu Khadku Sikh groups of that time ever took any responsibility of any Hindu killing. Most of innocent killed were by Indian Govt recruited Cats.
21. Why after 1995 after killing of Beant Butcher suddenly peace came in Punjab? Why its reduce dramatically numbers of killing and disappearance in Punjab and everything clam down after his assassination?
22. Why there was complete media black out? With out 4th pillar democracy became DEMONcrazy, no Independent journalists were allowed in Panjab for weeks.
23. How many days Govt had siege the Golden temple before starting attack?
24. Why central Govt didn't take recommendations and orders from Governor of Panjab? Governor of Panjab "Bhairav Dutt Pande" told central govt in written letters that its civil matter and there is no need of Military or central govt involvement in Panjab. He was replaced after 1 month of attack on 3/07/1984.
25.Who ordered Illegal and unconstitutional Operation Bluestar? The cabinet secretariat, home and defence ministeries say they have no record whether the military action at the Golden Temple complex in 1984 was decided orally or by a written word. More than 30 years on, Operation Bluestar remains a controversial and thorn in feet of Govt, as it was ordered without following any constitutional and bureaucratic chain, process or command. Mark it as ONLY operation illegally sanctioned with personal vendetta as fact in the history of India.
* Bonus question: Why after 1947 All the personal laws of the Sikhs were abolished and replaced by Hindu statutes, such Sikh Marriage Act 1910 changed as the “Hindu Marriage Act 1955,” the “Hindu Succession Act 1956,” etc.

And every party has proposed to bring these law in their menifisto, in 2011 kapil sibbal said in parliament that these law (ditoo same laws no change) are in the favour of farmers, at that time BJP was opposing those laws now congress in opposing these law and supporting so call farmers (actually they are middle manif you will analyses everything).

Sikhs has always come forward to help Hindus or any other community. The 10th Sikh Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji fought against Mughal Emperors and saved the Hindu/Sikh communities from Aurangzeb. His 2 sons age 10 yrs and under were buried alive by Auranzeb's army in a wall of Gurudwara in Fatehgarh Sahib. Sikhs have sacrificed their lives for this country. Whatever is shown in this video was all politically motivated. Congress used and encouraged Bhindra waala for its benefit to gain votes in Punjab but later sent army in sacred Golden Temple to kill him under Blue Star operation. So many innocent lives were killed and so much terrorism was spread in Punjab, riots took place for so many years. Its all for the game of Power and money. People's lives dont matter to them. I am a Hindu born and brought up in Chandigarh. I respect and have so much faith in Sikh religion. I got tears in my eyes watching this video and how Indian army attacked and destroyed the Golden temple. :(

Shree guru nanak dev ji,who was first guru of sikhism and founded sikhism, was born in hindu family , his father name was mehta kaalu,and he was a hindu.
Khalsa panth was founded by shree guru gobind singh ji ,who was 10 th guru of sikh religion.the first 5 piare (members) of khalsa panth were hindus who took amrit from gobind singh ji and became first 5 singhs of khalsa.
Harimandir sahib which is top holiest place of sikh religion ,the mean of hari mandir sahib is temple of shree hari (HARI is name of lord vishnu from hinduism)
The amritsar which is holiest city of sikh religion and where harimandir sahib situated, was founded by 4th guru of sikh religion whose name is guru ramdas ji.the mean of ramdas is devotee to shree RAM (RAM ji is god in hindu religion).
The names of several sikh guru relates to hindu god means they were devotees to hindu god.for example
2nd guru angad dev ji means (angad ji was a devotee to shree ram in ramayan)
4th guru shree ramdas ji means devotee to shree ram of hinduisim.
5th guru shree arjan dev ji (arjan was a devotee to shree krishna in mahabharata granth)
6th guru hargobind ji (HAR means shiv and gobind means shree krishna,both relates to hinduism)
7th guru hari rai ji (hari means lord vishnu of hinduism)
8th guru harkishan ji (HAR means lord shiv and kishan means lord krishna in hinduism)
10th guru gobind singh ji (gobind is other name of lord krishna in hinduism)
In guru granth sahib ji ,there are many statements (lines) in which shree ram and shree krishna named clearly mentioned.
unfortunately some sikh don't read their granth and follow some wrong and negative sikhs,as per guru granth sahib ji and guru govinda singh ji ,the holy book must be last guru of sikhs and sikh must not follow and seems to their guru to any other.
The three key pillars of Sikhism are Kirat Karni (honest living), Vand Chakna (sharing with others) and Naam Japna (focus on God).these all already stated in hindu granth GEETA, by lord shree krishna from hinduism.
Guru nanak dev ji never against hinduism, he always against to evils (kuritiyan) of all religions.
In sikhism GOD is onkar ,onkar is punjabi name of sanskrit word omkar means OM which is from hinduism.
During insurgency in punjab from 1980 to 1995 several innocent hindus were killed in buses ,trains and on several places in punjab by some negative militants.militants killed hindus and their oppoters and hide in harimandir sahib.even DIG atwal was killed by them in gurudwara premises and collected huge armory in holy gurudwara. So army took operation.
Hindus always support to sikhs from starting t for example- the family of moti ram mehra was killed by muslims just because they hide mata gujri and sahibjada ji in their house.
Raja todar mal bought world most expensive land in sirhind,where mata gujri and sahibjada ji cremated, and donate this land for sikhism.
In 1984 delhi ,several hindu families were killed by mob because they hide sikhs in their houses.
So true sikh should not get influenced by any wrong people ,read the guru granth sahib ji and history of hinduism and must follow only guru granth sahib ji.and respect to all religions.
