- 1971 की बांग्लादेश लड़ाई में जनरल शाबेग सिंह ने मुक्ति बाहिनी को प्रशिक्षण दिया था. लेकिन जब उन्हें उनके रिटायरमेंट से एक दिन पहले नौकरी से निकाल दिया गया तो वो सरकार के खिलाफ़ हो गए. 1984 में ऑपरेशन ब्लू स्टार में भारतीय सेना के स्वर्ण मंदिर में घुसने से पहले उन्होंने ही स्वर्ण मंदिर के रक्षण की योजना बनाई थी. ऑपरेशन ब्लू स्टार की 38वीं बरसी पर रेहान फ़ज़ल नज़र डाल रहे हैं जनरल शाबेग सिंह के जीवन पर.

Major General Shahbeg Singh was a legend in 71. He was one of Indian military Officer who directly involved in various clandestine operation inside Bangladesh. He work side by side with Mukti Bahini. He was a brave soilder.

The same happened with my friend’s father. He was in navy and unearthed a corruption scandal. He was beaten up by his seniors and departmental proceeding was initiated against him. No one stood by him , he started drinking heavily to cope with trauma and died subsequently.

Same happened with my father's friend. Him & my father served in Indian army 28Pb regiment. He filed case against his officers & after 18 years he won. Sad thing is; He's mentally unfit now. There are many issues inside army, need to be solved.

As per as i knows our SIKH BROTHERS has always protected us whether its the MUGHALS ,THE MUSLIM INVADERS ,THE SUFFERINGS DURING THE PARTITION OR THE 1962 OR 1971 0R THE KARGIL ..THE SIKH BROTHERS are one of the pillars of this country and am proud to have these brothers ..

Peshawar is also a part of Pakistan. The Punjabi army and Punjabi politicians considered themselves big-headed and looked down on the Bengalis. And they used to rule over them with the force of sticks with martial law. Even after winning the election, he was not allowed to enter the government. Secondly, he told them that if anyone looted and sold, his house would be set on fire and not only him but also his wife and children would be killed. When the Punjabi army and Maghribi politicians worked tirelessly, the Bengalis announced the formation of Bangladesh in March 1971. When the riots broke out, many Punjabi officers were killed by their Bengali servants in their residential bungalows. The pistols were secretly provided to these servants by Bengali military officers. When the war broke out, the Punjabi army suffered a humiliating defeat and Bangladesh became independent. 90,000 Punjabi soldiers were taken prisoner. The Maulvis of Jamaat-e-Islami who had sided with the Punjabi army were hanged on the gallows. The Urdu-speaking Biharis who lived in isolated colonies like Muhammadpur and Mirpur and were isolated from the Bengalis, their rations were cut off and they were turned into Chohara Chamar and Shudra. Punjabis are now doing the same thing in West Pakistan. They don't care about themselves, their eyes are on the US dollar.
