  • Method feeder fishing for Carp. In this episode of Lunch Break Chronicles we target carp on the method feeder. Method feeder fishing is a deadly technique for all sorts of nonpredatory fish, especially carp! I will make a follow on video of how I use the method feeder and some of the benefits of using this specific method. In a short lunch break we had 3 runs, and caught two decent carp. Lunch Break Chronicles ep. 6, let´s get it!

All that work setting it up and to have it bit off by a pike or something is frustrating but that feeder was bringing em in quick.

Very true, I guess it comes with the territory though!

Oh yeah, there’s some pike, zander, and wels in there. Could have been one of them 🤷‍♂️

Haha sometimes I get bored and walk away and then that’s when I’ll inevitably get a bite. Then I have to run back and hope I’m not too late

First bite was most likely a large zander or pike swallowing some small carp or roach that stopped to feed on your bait.
Nice rods you've got there, but the hooks you're using are kinda small, European carp has a very soft mouth and larger ones will rip out the hook if it's too small to penetrate deep enough. The boilie bait mount is limiting hook size to some extent, you can't go much more than twice the size you used here, for bigger rigs you need canned corn or cereal balls.
If you dwell deeper into carp fishing make sure you learn the local fishing laws and regulations, as some mounts may be illegal in the EU (like "the bomb", which is a large cereal ball wrapped around a specially designed weight, with 4-6 hooks buried in it).

I think you’re right about a toothy predatory grabbing a smaller fish on the first run. Good tip about the hook size, I’ll have to do some more research if I start getting into carp fishing
