@@TheLemonFactor while I have no hard data, I perceive quicker spool. I also find it easier to get the turbo whistle with less throttle input. Could be in my head 🤨
Hi! Im currently doing a ctr swap with my dp and civic type r turbo inlet, I noticed you didnt utilize the accord heatshield or/and the ctr heat shield. instead using the blanket. assuming you've done testing, this must be a better solution? I was going to drill a hole through my accord heat shield so the 02 sensor would line up, but also ordering the ctr heatshield to put the blanket on top. but u didnt, so I guess it works?
hi this doesn’t have much to do with the video but i have a 2019 accord 2.0t and just put the stage 2 base map on it and was wondering what kind of K count i should be looking for like what number do i want be around and what does it mean
You can find how to install the inlet in the turbo install video… (How-To): 27WON Kuro Turbo (FK8 Hybrid) Install // 10th Gen (2018-2022) Honda Accord th-cam.com/video/qLUWie0LOvw/w-d-xo.html
@TheLemonFactor one video out there said the turbo would peal away like potato chips: the turbo casing itself th-cam.com/video/GuVAzORoUMQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2ZoGrMUuJ3p6edCI
I've never seen, or heard this happening with a turbo blanket. However, I have heard of issues related to wrapping exhaust manifolds, downpipes, etc. in which moisture can find its way into and be trapped by the wrap thus causing premature rusting of metals.
@thosetwodudes if you’d like to email me, that would be great 👍. You can find my email address under the About section of The Lemon Factor TH-cam channel page.
hey bro, not sure if your still using ktuner, if you are can you share what quick adjustments settings you currently using please? spent a night googling and no one has really spoke to what settings they like using... at least for accord 2.0
@@TheLemonFactor appreciate you bro, maybe going over those settings and your thoughts behind the choices I think would make great content. All forums and vids don't highlight it at all .
Hey Why not try get Design Engineering Reflect-A-GOLD High-Temperature Heat Reflective wrap on your air cold intake maybe it would help too. you can test on gold tape work or not. thanks
That's a possibility, but I really don't think the air gets heat soaked from the air inlet pipe, thus I doubt it will add any significant power benefits.
Running the same setup, my temps rose which kind of makes sense. Usually sat at three bars on temp gauge and now I’m at 4. Could also be since I run e85, and had to disable ECT1
@@TEAracing I’ve always sat at three in Arizona, and Vegas. Once all those parts were installed it hit 4 within 5-10 mins of driving. 2019 2.0t, 18k miles.
As I have an FK8 based turbo, the oxygen sensor placement is different than a stock Accord turbo, which means it will not fit. With that said, PTP may sell a turbo blanket that could fit the stock Accord turbo 🤔🤷♂️
Hey chad do you have any links to other blankets, or can anyone find specs on the turbo size to find a blanket. Id like to do my research first, I checked identifix Alldata oecreparlink and nothing.

I installed the same set a few weeks ago. I'm happy with it. Helps spool on my FK8 turbo. Not sure how much it helps temps, but every bit helps
You actually notice a difference in spoolup? I don’t notice any change 🤷♂️

it’s going to be a cold winter. make sure get a blankey for your turbo 👍🏾
🥶😁
How much did all the mods cost?
Love the content keep it up
Thanks for the video. I was gonna ask you. Your Honda has more power than stock. What engine oil do you use now ? 0w20 or another ?
I am currently running Pennzoil Ultra Premium 0w-20.
@@TheLemonFactorI’m pretty sure with an after market turbo you’re supposed to run thicker oil. Like 5w-30 I believe

Is there any concern about the turbo blanket damaging the turbo itself over continued usage?

If you put the down pipe on tighter, would it work better?
I doubt it as I don’t think you can get it any more fitting than what it is now 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor can you make a video how to install the prl inlet
