    Hey I’m just wondering how did you drive the car to the tuner once you put the new turbo in? How did the car run on the phearable tune with a different turbo? Or did you go back to stock tune?
    I’m very curious because I want to get this turbo but the nearest good tuner is very far from me, at least 300 miles. What would you recommend I do? Does the car run well enough to drive a long way or is the knock count through the roof? Thanks!!

      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matt - Thank you very much for your generous support - it is very much appreciated!!! Regarding your question, your tuner, in my case Derek Robinson of IMW provided a temporary tune that you either use to get to the tuning session, or use to start the remote eTuning process, which is what I opted for. I would not recommend driving the car, without getting the appropriate tuning file. Here's a video covering the eTuning process...th-cam.com/video/fjWQJCMABXI/w-d-xo.html

      @@TheLemonFactor yes they told me it my friend has an MDX with FKA turbo and he absolutely loves it. What made me want to save some money and go to type r turbo over p700 p600 BorgWarner Garrett how impressed I was when I had my 014 SRT8 300 scat pack 392 5 speed not the eight-speed and my friend had full bolt on with fk8 mind you Mike are we supposed to do 175 miles an hour we were on a 60 roll and he put two cars on me and I never made it up and that really was impressive does owning both cars. But it really gets me mad not getting off subject that how people are talking about the 2023 ship box CVT new accords I cannot believe they dropped the 2.0 ten-speed and everyone that's reviewing the cars is on hound does payroll talk about how great the car is it is not great you might as well buy a Toyota Camry V6 to destroy their new record I would never think that would happen unbelievable Honda really dropped the ball on this! Like I said before the only saving grace is that maybe the two of 10 speeds will be like a Colt car and people will seek them out there is nothing better when you roll race a coyote a Corvette 350Z STI and just walk the s*** out of them and they're like what hell now of course if you mod those they would be faster but they are sports cars the Accord is a family sedan AKA just like my 87 Buick Grand national it was a family two-door car it was never meant to be fast that's what makes the Accord so great it was never meant to be what

    Had a buddy do my CTR turbo install, took him 6hrs and I paid him $250 for the trouble. Some guys charge between $500-600 and the 2 shops I spoke to in my area about it wanted $1000-1200, both said they’d need the car for 2-3 days as well. Likely they were gonna look up a guide like this one, take their time and pad their hours. I’d say $400-700 would be a “fair price” for the job.

      Good question… my altitude does impact my boost levels, but as this is a larger turbo than stock it should have a limited impact. With that said, I’ll start at 21psi and move up to 24-26psi and see how it behaves.

      You will need to get a base file tune from your tuner - you can then use the tune to get you to the dyno for tuning, or to start you off with, to begin your data logging for eTuning. ETuning services from IMW, or Phearable would be able to provide you with the base file tune 👍
