Thank you all for watching! NFL Fever 2003 is a game that has a crazy amount ofg sentimental value to me and it still holds up so well. And yes it's better then any new Madden game that is coming out.

Yea we had it good way back when. This one holds up really well and is so much fun to play. I really enjoy going back to it. Thanks for watching my man hope all is well
one thing I'll say though is seeing what the sports landscape has become, it gives you more appreciation for how the games used to be, and If you managed to have held on to your collection and you go back and play them now its like digging up treasure. Stuff we may not have really valued as much when we were younger have more meaning to us now, and even though its not current rosters or rules or the most cutting edge graphics, these old games are like time capsules. It's just a fun to rewrite history as it is to create it.
I really appreciate that. Thanks for watching. Yea things and life can get rough sometimes, I don't wish those times on anyone. Thanks for your watch and your comment, it goes a long way.

Hey man thank you! Thanks for watching I really appreciate it. Yea sometimes things get hard and we have to find something to get us through. Glad you enjoyed it that means a lot.
You have no idea how relatable your story is. I have a similar story, I did finish HS but had no real plan for myself. I was a 2 sport athlete in HS but due to an injury in my junior year I could no longer play. I got into playing NBA 2k after HS. Started taking it a little serious around 2k16. I got really good and met plenty of people some that I am still friends with to this day. I ended up being the owner of our Pro Am team and we went and played in several leagues and even won a few. That was my first taste of success after not being able to play sports anymore and it almost gave me a sense of purpose and made me feel like I belonged to my family/team. A lot of people don't understand just the escape from reality for even a couple hours can help when you are in a dark space. I commend you for telling you story and want you and anyone else to know that you are not alone and the bad days don't last forever.
Sorry to hear about the injury, I'm sure that was pretty tough to have something you enjoyed taken from you by something you had no control over. Very cool that you were able to really get into 2k16 and go that far with it, that's awesome! Yea people just don't understand that sometimes a distraction like you said even for a few hours can make such a difference. I'm glad you're doing well and were able to find something to help you get through that rough time. Thanks for watching and I really appreciate your comment. Having a video do well and get views is awesome but comments like yours are always extremely meaningful and go a long way. I really appreciate it, thank you for sharing your story.
David Akers with the hottest mix tape of Summer 2003. I do like the historical preservation of the information on past seasons with the Super Bowl winners, and MVPs. That's an awesome full circle story of Christmas 2002 with your neighbor to 2005 in the crucial months in the trailer. Lol I do love that 17-year old LD blew his last $200 on the Xbox and a few games. I know those months were hard, but look at your now. Successful in every aspect of life. Proud of you for all your journeys and obstacles that you continue to overcome. I touched on this with my PlayStation Memories video, but the Legend of Dragoon, and Parasite Eve are two games that really helped me get through some difficult parts of my life. I played them every night with my cat, Teixeira. He's gone now, which makes it even more bittersweet. I'm glad you're here, man.

even if EA and the NFL hadn't forged an exclusivity deal I don't think we'd have as much competition in the sports games market now as we did back then because of how the industry has shifted and how much money these games have to generate to be sustainable. 2k could have still been making MLB(which for a time they could have had all the xbox customers all to themselves) and NHL games and they walked away. As much as we hate them microtransactions and the need to keep people engaged long after the game has been released have become a necessity to offset the development cost to make these games, and like we've seen in other genres like hero shooters and MMO's there are only so many consumers that can be spread around to make these games worth it. But that being said I definitely miss the days when we had more options, and because there wasn't really anything you could do to enhance the game after you put it out there on store shelves you really had no choice but to bring the goods at launch if you wanted to be competitive, rather than promising stuff down the road through patches and season passes and stuff. It's crazy how EA can put out a game and market it saying parts of a mode wont be available until a couple months after. I also liked when the first parties had their own sports games like Microsoft with Fever, even Nintendo had their own basketball and baseball series for a while
It was always fun playing the exclusive consoles sports games like kobe bryant courtside or even when the 2K series first came out and they were only exclusive for the dreamcast. That didn't last long but it was fun. Every franchise back then felt like it had character. The only publisher for sports games that I really think cares anymore is San Diego Studios with MLB the show series. I was really hopeful for College Football 25 because all they had to do honestly was take NCAA 14 update the graphics add the rosters and change the college football system and they would have had a banger game. It's sad that its a market that has been monopolized but as long as people continue to buy product it doesn't matter. Thats just smart business 1:1. I have made the decision though that I will not buy a new Madden or NHL game until the PS6 comes out. Thanks for watching and stopping by the channel.

It's kind of insane that none of these indie developers can even replicate games from 25 years ago. Football video game technology died in in the early 2000s.
Did you know you can play old games on an emulator. Then you can use parsec to play these old games like you and a friend are on a couch. It's really cool
madden 25 has the past sb winners and yearly awards for the league's history - started on madden 24 25 finally added team and rookie records gameplay-wise madden 25 kills any football game made before it, lacks features we miss from the ps2 era (like the radio show and being able to switch teams in a franchise game)

I don't do much with steam but I'll have to check some TH-cam videos out when it releases. I love the older Madden games. Even up to Madden 15 on xb1 is legit. Madden 12 I think is the last great Madden but man those old PS2 games were just a blast
@LameDadRetroGamer 💯
@@LameDadRetroGamer I used go play online on madden 07-10 on ps2 back in the day too
I think maximum football is coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles too@@LameDadRetroGamer
Any idea if this online would work with X-link Kai.
@@OwazG I'm not sure but I just checked out Xlink and I'm honestly not sure why it wouldn't work. I think the capabilities are obviously there.
It's kind of insane that none of these indie developers can even replicate games from 25 years ago.
Football video game technology died in in the early 2000s.
@@TheOmengod yea it was so much better for the industry 20 years ago when there was multiple publishers and developers. Thanks for watching
Did you know you can play old games on an emulator. Then you can use parsec to play these old games like you and a friend are on a couch. It's really cool

Greatest safety's of allllllll timeeeeeeee
madden 25 has the past sb winners and yearly awards for the league's history - started on madden 24
25 finally added team and rookie records
gameplay-wise madden 25 kills any football game made before it, lacks features we miss from the ps2 era (like the radio show and being able to switch teams in a franchise game)
You've almost got me convinced to go buy Madden 25 on the PS5. Is the franchise mode any good?
@@LameDadRetroGamermadden is shit the franchise mode has been near identical since madden 20
Well in that case I'll keep playing Madden 16
@@LameDadRetroGamer same franchise mode, minor changes like bringing back the training camp and mini games. the gameplay itself is the only REAL improvement but it's a great one.
someone tells you there's a better football game, they're a liar
@@emobassist the thing about madden is, the people that review it have never played football in their lives - plusmost people suckat the game causethey back up 15 yards to throw instead of sitting in the pocket.
most people i have seen review the game have found 1 early bad glitch and act like it happens all the time. i saw one guy give college a 9/10 and say 'if madden is the same it will be bad' pretty much saying 'im gonna call madden bad no matter what'
you sound like one of those people
