I jump started a Nissan quest that had been sitting for over a year, the battery was beyond dead but this morning did they say it does , bam, I definitely recommend it
This video is awesome! Everything about it from the sarcastic mechanic (we all love a pessimistic, frustrated stand up as our mechanic) to the clapped out HEARSE!! The engine was dead, the passenger compartment was dead, and with the flames jumping from the carburetor, we almost had a dead mechanic! I love this guy.
Lol thanks for the vote of confidence! Be sure to subscribe I have lots of videos like that. There is a follow-up to this video as well were I pit the Hulkman against a Gooloo jump starter :)
If your car battery is too low, you can try the Force Mode by pressing both the Power and LED button for 2-3 seconds. This will output more power to start the vehicle. It's in the manual or if you get Error Code 2.
Thanks thats a great tip for error code 2! For error code 4 like I was getting you just have to wait 10 minutes and then try again. Mine didn't need more power it just needed to be able to crank for a longer amount of time due to it being carbureted. You can also find the error codes and descriptions on the back 😊
I thought I was pretty fair :) ? I tried to show exactly what happened so that people could draw their own conclusions. I will say though that the reviews and question section on Amazon paint a much more heroic version of this jump starter. This question here is why I went ahead and bought it. The link to Amazon is in the description: "Question:Can it’s work without a batery??? Or with a very low voltage..? Answer:Yes, this product can work when your vehicle is without a battery, or your car's battery is totally dead, and battery voltage is extremely low. Please press the Power Button and Light Button to enter Force Start mode for that situation. By HULKMAN Direct SELLER on January 21, 2021"
@@MidnightRoadGarage Not trying to criticize your video, just saying they are best suited to a daily runner where you have accidentally drained battery, rather than cranking an engine with other issues.
its a miracle the hulkman brought the hearst back to life. Thats a beast of an engine, it needed to be massive to get its customers to there final destination on time. The hulkman looks like it will easily start a more modest 4 cylinder with a good fuel pump.
I imagine it would although as an addendum it couldn't get my c4 Corvette going either. It had a moderately dead battery as in lights would work but no click at all when you turned the key. The Hulkman gave an error 2 so I did the override as instructed. Still no joy. Had to drag a cord and charger out to it. Probably would work fine on a 4 cylinder though. If I ever have one with a dead battery I will check and report back 😊
Even if you tried to start for a split second (yours were longer of course) each try, the hulkman counts each one and if you do more than five times in ten minutes error code 4 and time to go take a nap for it takes ten minutes to clear regardless. It measures counts only not internal temperature and can falsely go to shutdown thinking it is overheating. In my case I need to make short low current starts (not a car) and it will shut down after 5 tries, even if device is not getting too hot inside. Also, it should measure temp and go out of safe mode if cooled. It has lazy algorithm and does not appear to use temp sensor for this safe feature. Open loop guess work. Saving money, cutting corners Ugh!
I connected the usb-c charger from a 5volt Phone charger into the hulkman a d it appeared to be charging. So looks like you can charge it work 5 volts. I didn't leave it on there though. Ill have to discharge it and try again to make sure.
I have a sandrock 2000..i belive they are all the same, just different names...they only work if the battery is in good condition...it should start a 8lt truck if the batteries are just low...it should charge right up..i check my jumper every couple weeks...and befor a trip
Well yes of course. I also could have used starting fluid, some raw gas, a battery charger or even a fresh battery and not used the jump starter at all. I was stress testing the jump starter though. In retrospect I should have just pulled the hot wire for the ignition and just measured how long it took to error out but I really wasn't expecting it to error out at all or at least not so fast.... Thanks for watching and commenting though. I appreciate it :)
,,hulkman jail,, so so true 08 durango hemi here .my 6.5 hulkman handles my ol worn dead battery n dishere winter of 24 except it must be fully charged 65% is not good enough sorta .my dead battery drains hulkman quickly if more jumps r need,d during same day .im patiently waiting for hulkman too charge as it surely takes its sweet ol time .keep at 100% always .going to junkyard n get,n a new too me battery snows melting
You got an error on your hulkman and it doesn't work anymore or you got an error on my video and it doesn't load anymore? If it's the video I'd try watching this one th-cam.com/video/fyzZQ5dquUo/w-d-xo.html and if its your Hulkman and it's an error 4 you'll need to wait 10 minutes and try again.
Hmmm I wouldn't think so? You'd have to put it in boost mode and that only stays going for a few seconds. You'd have to change your battery really fast. Honestly it would probably be easier to get some jumper cables and connect to another car.
yo lo tengo , alguien sabe por que se me ha descargado solo y no consigo cargarlo con su alimentador oficial , se queda en 0% parpadeando y de ahi no pasa , lo deje horas cargando pero nada y es NUEVO..

the light of the level 8 error icon comes out what can I do about this problem, thanks.
How can i fix error code no.3?
To be fair it's only meant to start a healthy car with only flat battery issues.

Nice video sir! Anyone know if the Gooloo GT4000S puts you in Hulkman jail" also? Trying to decide between the two.
You don’t need a jump starter for that car: you need a CPR shocker.

That sounds about right to me. I have a couple more videos on this unit but you might like that one with it and the JF.Egwo jump starter.

If you did a little maintenance on the auto choke I believe it would have fired much sooner.

Could u test the gooloo 4000a jump starter
Maybe? I'll check it out!
That would be cool
@@jasonmartin9393 I ordered one to check out. It was 30% off plus had a $30 off coupon so look for a video in the next couple weeks.

That doggle hunt 👍
Shouldn’t your fuel pump be hooked up to the ignition via a relay? 86 to IG, 85 to GND, 87 to Fuel Pump, 87a not used, 30 to Battery?
Yes if it were permanent 🙂
The only thing PERMANENT about that piece of 💩 car is it’s location!!🤣🤣
Awesome. Buying one
Right on!
Sure beats wheeling a driver over and hooking up the cables !
That is for sure!!!
How can i fix error code no.3?
Pretty sure thats a temperature issue so it either needs to warm up or cool down.
Can the hulkman be used as a memory saver?
That's a question bud?

Very interesting looks like a noco really
Haven't tried a NOCO yet but it's on my list.

Good to know, nice torture test!!!!
Yeah it's pretty powerful...just a tad touchy lol
im subscribing...for 2 handed jobs
Hulkman not to be used for junkers. lol
You’re funny.
Ever hear of RTFM - I wish these guys would make themselves more familiar with the products they test before using - nor misusing them
It was an unboxing video so it was intentional. Don't worry though I'll have another video about it :). Thanks for watching
