My Audew has the same clips as the Gooloo. I don’t like the style but I have started a dead tractor, forklift and ford F250 diesel truck within a few hours of each other. It looks like they have rebranded it (on Amazon ) under another name. But Walmart had it a while back

Lithium batteries are very powerful and well protected electronically, the case of the hulk man insulated it enough that you couldn’t feel the heat from the cells inside. The gooloo anticipated the overheating and shut down to prevent it by having a set time , which gives it a few seconds of rest between your attempts and will prolong its life . Gooloo for the win .

I found that you should always get a jumper starter that is rated for much larger than what you have. I learned that the hard way. If you have a 4L engine, get at least a 6L rating.

  • @jmackinjersey1

There is a lot of draw on these little lithium batteries when cranking the engines when compared to a lead acid battery. Add to that the fact that you were using the entire lithium power cell, using their "turbo/max power" mode rather than any assistance from a low battery in the vehicle. That causes a lot of internal heat which is why they have a built in "breaker" to stop it from exploding.

@@MidnightRoadGarage I have both and the hulkman is a better unit for me it stays charged 18 months if left in your vehicle and the gooloo want stay charged a year and my hulkman will clear every time I press both buttons at the same time so i just over ride the over heating option i never have to wait i can crank on mine until its dead .The 10 minute deal is just a precaution to keep from over straining the battery but you can bypass it without waiting at all ! The hulkman is a lot heavier unit than the gooloo I quit using it because it takes to long to charge and it does not stay charged very well about 4 cranking's and its dead in cold weather maybe 2 or 3 cranks ! So for me I prefer the hulkman i have had it 4 years still works fine the gooloo is already weak and takes to long to charge ! Your hulkman must be bad i have jumped hundreds of engines gas and diesels. Your phone charging test wasn’t accurate because you can charge the phone from the gooloo’s usb c port with a usb C to usb C cable. That connection with double or triple the charging speed of the phone because it is capable of delivering a lot more power in a short time. Also if you dump the included usb A to usb C cable and use a usb C to C cable it will recharge much faster. No usb C port is a dealbreaker for me. Not sure why they included the A ports anymore - 1990’s tech - low power and slow…

It says it has 800 amps, don't know if it really does, but it surprised me when my truck fired right up. And the battery was totally dead, it didn't even have enough juice to unlock the door. I had to use the key!!! It's been so long that it felt awkward. It sure was funny timing though, I randomly watch a jump starter video and my battery goes dead. So you have one of those vehicles where the actual battery is buried somewhere like the trunk or under the drivers seat and all you have is some jump terminals under the hood? If that's the case then I would try using jumper cables with the jump box. Hook one end of the jumper cables to the jump terminals and then the jump box to the other end of the cables. You're comparing a well USA designed and engineered Hulkman to a low budget quality chinese designed/build ugly looking crap (Gooloo) is insulting to Hulkman creators! 😂

Lol the Hulkman sure does have it's fans! My power was out yesterday and it did a great job of charging my phone :). USA designed and Chinese made isn't much of a plus in my book though. American workers aren't getting paid to make them which is what I would prefer because I live in the USA lol. I just picked up another jump starter though so we'll see how the Hulkman and Gooloo stack up against that one in the near future. BTW I paid for my Hulkman and my Gooloo so it's pretty impartial. Thanks for watching!!!

@@MidnightRoadGarage There isn’t much of a difference, in fact I think both the hulk man and Gooloo are made by the same company
