  • Sir Keir Starmer told Boris Johnson he was going to miss his "delusion" in an attack on the PM's approach to the cost of living crisis during the pair's final PMQs clash.
    Mr Johnson responded by calling the Labour leader a "great pointless human bollard" whose policies nobody knows.

There’s an online video clip of Johnson, when he was London mayor, telling a committee member to “get stuffed” when questioned about cuts to the London fire service. Please research it. We have a family member who is a London firefighter so we know how shameful Johnson was regarding this matter.

      I fear that Liz Truss's hypothetical departure might be worse yet, and I say this as someone who is not British. Somehow I doubt that Rishi Sunak would be like this, not necessarily because either of them is worse at communicating, but because Liz Truss seems to have moved in a really fanatical direction.

      Any name calling and finger pointing is backed up by the evidence of Johnson's behaviour and conduct. BUT. I agree completely that we need to hear much more from Keir in terms of concrete policies. I very much hope that after Johnson is gone Keir will seriously talk about policy.

    I was scrolling past and not really paying attention and thought the said that's what Starmer had said and thought...that's a bit of an odd thing to say. Not particularly intelligent or appropriate at a PMQ so I scrolled back up. When I did a better job reading, seems about right. It's so completely expected and unsurprising if I hadn't first misread the title I would have just ignored the whole thing. Just Boris being Boris again. How sad is that?

    The point everyone seems to be missing, is that Boris is not 'risk averse' he has put 'getting things done' ahead of his political career. The next PM is very likely to tread a very 'career cautious' path. Not what we need at all.
