Has Boris Johnson actually ever really answered a single question that he was asked? Ever?
Like a slimy slug, he starts writhing and evading the moment he opens his mouth...
The system, itself, doesn't hold those responsible to account. IMHO, The Speaker of the House should demand a direct answer from an MP when none is apparent or forthcoming.
I would wager that the Ministerial Code demands everyone wear formal attire, yet demands that nobody speak the honest truth - The system is a disgrace to democracy and a hindrance intellectual discourse.

A policy that was part of the planned move towards green energy. Green energy initiatives were stalled by the Tories and only supported when the energy companies themselves chose to invest.

Marginal parties are designed to keep one of the two parties in the ‘two party system’ in power. Voters decide they don’t want to vote either Red or blue they want something to change, so they vote for whichever marginal party best fits their ideology, thus spreading out the opposing vote to the party in power, meaning you end up with lots of little parties and the conservative and Labour Party take their usual votes from their loyal one party voters.
If Boris resigned now it would avoid the predicted 800 Tory council seats loss!!

Labour need to start pumping out policies, ideally less than 5 words.
Housing: First time ownership priority
Education: removing charity status for private schools
NHS: double dementia funding, create national care service
Climate: £3bn to green UK steel
Union: strengthen union with more devolution
I would place closing off-shore tax loopholes and banning zero hour contracts first.
The former will increase available spending on the rest.
The latter will mean that fewer people will rely on Universal Credit to have at least £75 per week to live on.
Yh, completely agree, I mean they also want to more on climate and the economy but I worry that talking too much about taxation and public spending will turn off the older population. They're in a tough position where hopefully the working class will vote for them and the older population will turn to the lib Dems. They should hammer getting rid of the nation insurance levy.

I think you might sense our great shame that the Tory Party had no better candidate than him to offer. If you dig into his past, you will find he has been sacked from his job as a journalist for quite literally making up a story which was 100% lies, he was sacked from another job when he lied about having an extra-marital affair (and he WAS), he lied when he said if the UK got Brexit our National Health Service would get £310 million back per month, he lied when he said "there were NO Lockdown parties at No.10", then he said there had been "gatherings, but they were work", then he said he thought the parties which have recently been proven to have taken place were again "work", then he apologized that such gatherings had taken place, then he got served a "Fixed Penalty Notice" by the Metropolitan Police for being present at one of the PARTIES. He lies continuously. Again he lied in Parliament today about the "number of new jobs created", quoting again a figure wildly different from that published by the organisation who collates such figures. You might see a pattern developing here, lies, lies, lies. You might expect the odd little lie, after all he's a politician, but it's looking like nothing coming out of his mouth is truthful. He is an embarassment. He was an embarassment as a journalist, he was an embarassment as Mayor of London, an embarassment as Foreign Secretary and now the ultimate embarassment as our Prime Minister. I keep asking myself WHY in God's name are we stuck with a narcisst, self-serving, LIAR. God help us. (Sorry for the rant, but .....)

I think most people have missed the point that Johnson is actually having the time of his life arguing with Starmer. In his imagination he is back on Oxford University debating team. This is all a continuation of the great game he played all the years he was growing up,playing the field,setting his friends up then knocking them down. Terrific fun. And it continued when he was a journalist,until his wavering appreciation of the truth of anything let him down. And this is just another round of jolly good fun and jolly japes until it all comes to an end,and then he will push off and find something else to spend his time and talents on. The state of our country by then will be of little importance to him because he will be abroad enjoying his everlasting game of life. This is all a game!
What I really detest are people that think they are qualified to run the world just because Mummy and Daddy had enough money to buy their stupid son a place at a school which guaranteed them a place at a university! A university that should know better!!!

Just as appalling are elements of the media giving Johnson an easy ride over this. For example, I give you today's (20/4) front page of the Daily Express, Johnson's biggest fan club in what was Fleet Street - "WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! SO MUCH MORE IS AT STAKE". Truly staggering.
