Tip: if you want a Phantom in a top tier lineup, use the F-4C instead of the F-4E, the F-4C has cheaper repair costs, while largely having the same air-to-ground loadout and access to CCIP (ballistic computer).
F4e has countermeasures. Guided bombs. Guided missiles and Way better missiles
That is the absolute dumbest advice I have ever seen given... Take the F-4C that has no countermeasures, only carries unguided bombs/rockets. Instead of the F-4E which has CM, AGM-65 Maverick missiles, and TV guided bombs....

9:34 you know there's an m46 in the regular tech tree right? It's the exact same as the premium except for no premium booster. Also if you don't want to use the A2D-1, you can use the F-3D which is an amazing replacement.

Regular M1 should be 9.7 IMO. Americans are definitely one of the big 3, but my opinion has always been that they are included only because of the sheer amount of vehicles they have meaning there is bound to be something for beginners, instead of actually being all around beginner friendly. Compared to the German or soviet trees I think America is actually fairly challenging and for that reason I think it is the better tree for beginners because it holds your hand less.

@@lucascarpenter4365 if the American M3 90mm had it's actually shells and pen values it would be less teethpulling, gaijin magiced out ~50mm of pen from the apbc (t33) and it also got a tungsten adps (that was used in WW2) that has something like 305mm at 500m
I started ground forces by playing Japan, it's still my main nation but it is objectively worse than US, USSR and Germany.
Germany and USSR are the easiest nations to play, especially early on, but after having played Japan and got into US ground tree I can say the US tanks are in no way as bad as people say they are.

up to 5.7 and after 8.0, it gets pretty diverse in terms of tech and pretty fun.
The main problem is German/Russian mains getting borderline coddeled with nonsensical BR changes, leading to alot of US tanks and aircraft being blatantly overtiered.

There is a boon to the row of identical M4-76s at tier 5. You gain the ability to create a full hangar of virtually identical tanks, allowing you to swing back into battle again and again.
It’s nice when I lose one I have 3 more to bring out
POV: You're an M4A1 and you can't do anything against T34s ort he Pz III/IV with their StuG
M61 shell and enemy tank armor knowledge, clap that t34 shooting it in its turret cheek and the same with panzers

@@felek092 can you tell me how i can angle or some shit so that i don't get clapped while trying to aim at their weakspots? Because while i have to carefully aim with my tanks they seem to pen me wherever they please to shoot, not a single piece of my tanks seems armored to their guns
@@davidtv2224 angle at around 45-30 degrees angle and for ex before you peek a corner you can TRY to reveal your extremely angled front armor, they'll bounce or shoot your track depends what tier ur at

Love this new series idea. Might want to update the outro for this series, since you ask what we think about the vehicle even though you didn’t go over a single vehicle but a whole tech tree. It’s a small thing, but it might be worth fixing.

I couldn't handle 5.0-5.7 mid teir, but 6.0 with the m41a1 was magnificent, and i did fine before and after 5.0-5.7. Im at 7.7 and its great aside from the atgm hell that is Germany
Germany and Russia certainly are the two top contenders for "most AGMs fired in Warthunder", it's really annoying when you somehow match against both of them and all you hear is WIZZ WIZZ WIZZ of a Marder, BMP-1, and BMP-2 shooting missles across the map and hitting 3 of your teammates with an instant kill missile lol
I love the shermans and am currently enjoying the T series of American tanks(just unlocked the T34) and I'd have to agree with what you said in this video it's not a tree for everyone but if you can master them, they are amazing vehicles consistently giving all the other nations a run for their money at least in my opinion. And I mean, muh Abrams one of my favorite tanks( I got to try the US, German and Russian Top tier MBTs at a friend's house and maybe surprisingly I had the most fun with the Abrams, yes even over the Russian Top tier MBTs)

As an American main , you get heaps of variety (good too) at end game compared to any other nation but at that cost you will suffer from late 5.0 all the way up until 8.0

INterestingly, im having a blasst playing 7.3 with the americans now. My win rate is considerably higher than my 9.3 lineup. I have almost all the vehicles researched, except the m60s, and i sincerely believe that 9.0, 9,3 was the most frustrating fighting against G91s, radkampfwagens and leos 120.

Thank god I’m not the only one that thinks the jump to the m6a1 is despicable
I like the fast tanks I just wish there was one with low damage high pen so I can disable a tank and keep moving so my team can finish them I bought the super hellcat and it’s about as good as I can get to run and gun but it doesn’t have a stabilizer so it’s run and gun to a position pop off a couple shots and reposition
This pretty much explains all my struggles i have had with each ranks vehicles. And my line ups just so happens to use many of thses vehicles. Though I prefere a 1.0 point progressions for set-up s starting at 3.0 and up.
Side Note: I avoided using the t32's because they share of many heavy tanks prototypes late and post ww2(The t32 I beleive was a 1945-1946 prototype). Too strong for things lower, but easy prey for the developing mbts above them. Also wasnt our heavy tank program kept alive after ww2 just to combat the Russian js's and the millions of potentially rushing t34?

the question may sound silly but I am relatively new to this game. When you talk about adding planes to your deck, are you talking about Arcarde mode decks and do they have to be unlocked through the plane battles?
For Ground RB you need to directly place the planes into your lineup and spawn them like a tank. It's not a popup menu or the like, and so you do need to grind out the plane line.
American tech tree in a nutshell: you research the exact same tank again and again
to be fair, gaijjin doesnt have much to add in terms of tanks for the US, since the US mostly just went with "whichevers practical" since forever lmfao.

I would argue that 6.7-7.0 US is one of its strongest lineups... Lights or heavies both are good and the m26-46-47 play like mobile heavy tanks more than mediums

I think that gaijen needs to do 1 of two things for the Americans.
1. They can move the German tree up a little in B.R
2. The better option, is moving all American tanks DOWN a little.
I know I sound selfish, but I am speaking for all the American players. Facing German tanks is just not fun at all. You get penned by every single one and one shot every single time.
People then say, oH tHen jUsT taKe yoUr StOopId JuMbo ouT thEn! But don't realize that once you get to 6.0, EVERYTHING can still pen you. At 6.0 every German tank can pen your SLANTED FRONTAL armor that is also ANGLED. And your tank can't do anything about it. America truly suffers the most.
@@pablo-os3xy Yeah that's true. I decided that I was not having fun like you said and stopped playing ground RB. I just started grinding the American aviation tech tree and it is going a lot faster and I am having much more fun.
Pro-tip for using US stabilizer: learn how your manual transmission works.
I’m still waiting for the abrams with trophy systems. Probably won’t get it because gaijin but I can hope. Gaijin has to drop the t14 before they will give us anything else for any other countries

Ammunition changes with the different tanks the higher you progress. Naturally armor will become thicker, so ammo will have to match the armor.
Except for stock shell of M36, it cannot even penetrate the ass of Panther at 200m
M4a3 (105) is underrated, I got 2300 in my first game with it. Keep in mind this is a 105mm on a jumbo chasis at 3.0.

Yes premium vehicles definitely help, however the reason the tech trees take so long to unlock is more people not being able to play for more than an hour at a time due to just getting fed up of getting destroyed by sweats within moments of getting into games, I used the premium A10 to grind the American aviation tech tree and it was an experience, fast but painful. Tanks I'm debating a premium however after playing for 4 days I'm now on rank 3, it's more play time than anything else, and getting the occasional really good matchup of chill players who play with actual strategy, if there's no concrete strategy there's room for error which 9 times out of 10 will happen

Been grinding the patton series(m47 & m48) every match was painful and frustrating as I wanted to perform. Now I know these tanks are bad. So, I am at peace with my poor performance. 😌

The 76mm M4s got hit hard by gaijoobs "balance" hammer. Ridiculously over tiered and repair costs are ball slappingly stupid. It's obvious they don't want people playing the damn game. Because they punish success as much as failure.
Hstvl is supposed to have over 300 pen and be faster and faster shooting

I still cannot understand how XM-803 and MBT-70 are currently any good. Sure they are quick but they have no thermals, no armor, no survaivability (who tf thought that putting every crew member into turret is good idea?), poor APFSDS, atrocious reload (KPZ-70 on the other hand has much better reload speed and it has same BR), their lineup is also whatever. To be honest, since Rank 5 it was pure pain to play USA tanks. I ditched them for now and try to grind Italians that consistently getting nerfed every update (poor Arietes...)

6:09, the repair cost for the f4u-4b imo doesn't make it an ideal choice for a fighter of its type. A p-51 or F4u-c would fit it better with less repair cost.

in real life it is absolute one of the best tanks in the world; mainly down to its sensors and battle management systems. In war thunder, we dont have any of that, so it compares pretty badly compared to some of the other tanks in game.

Not really. Shermans were good CQC/Flank tanks, but everything else is wierd.
Long range maps are shitty for the US. But medium range is where it shines.
Quick guide to American tech tree:
Suffering
6.3 USA is also very strong. There is the T25, M26 and T26E1 trio and of course the mighty M41. In terms of CAS there is the F8F1B with 3 1000lbs bombs and 4 M3 cannons ( can pen panthers fron top) and the AD 4 Skyraider with excellent bombs and rockets.
It gets uptiered to 7.3 95% of the time now that the Leo 1 and T-54 were downtiered

I ground out the entire American tree, and honestly, I highly regret it, I just reached rank 6 with russia, and I like it a hell of a-lot better
