bro I gotta be honest i've never seen a character get elevated like that with such a small amount of screen time. For those with no knowledge of lore they completely forgot who he was during act 2 and yet within one episode he started being listed in peoples top 3, sometimes overtaking jinx, vi, and viktor, the previous most commonly picked top 3 despite them getting the full 9 episodes of character buildup. That's crazy. First true damage, now this. They really always come through with ekko, I swear!

Ofcourse League is fun, but to me personally, Arcane raised league to a whole new level in my eyes. I appreciate all the effort of every creator that made Arcane possible, but Pusha T's lyrics here hit so close to home that I myself surged with a desire to join a revolution against social injustice.

Every other episode starts with a flashback that explains more about where a character is coming from and why they are the way that they are. Ekko is the exception. He gets a recruitment video for the Firelights because he lives in the present.
Ekko living in the present unlike all of the other characters who are either focused too much in the past or the future is such a good dynamic. The song even does a great job at mentioning that fact with the opening line; "I declare war, on ANYBODY standin in the way of what i dream for." Ekko and his crew don't care who's involved, if you're wronging them they will fight back.
