I love the subtle creepy vibes of this song. It’s as if they’re trying to convince you to take shimmer, and the song itself is so addicting… and the drop at the bridge that feels somewhat jarring, like you’ve lost your momentum as it talks about the negative aspects… “when you go under, you can never go back up…” and how it quickly ramps right back up into the chorus. It really is shimmer as a song, as far as I can tell (at least the reputation of shimmer).
They really popped off with the soundtrack for Arcane, with this one being my personal favorite so far. I'm looking forward to the absolute bangers we'll get once Act III comes along.
Love the usage of this Song as a reintroduction to the Trenches, standing in stark contrast to "Playground" to show a more savage, "unchained" undercity under Silco...
I know. Playground sounds sort of lethargic and dreamy. It’s dark and languid but the beast is calmed. Vander made sure of it. Now the beast is hyped and ready to bite.
What really impressed me about this particular scene is that it manages to convey what the "Sub-Uruban" District is like now that Silco manages to have complete control of it, no longer being a district like it used to be with more tranquility and control, but rather already being dominated by the pleasures of "Shining" and the pleasures of a "world without rules." It really is something to admire.

By far my favourite song in the whole series. That short 30 second trailer with this and spelling out ARCANE was what made me interested, even as a huge League lore fan for years already. I think it fits well with the underground Zaun scene, but it would have been cool to be done with Jinx in the silo. Though Get Jinxed was a needed reference.
