  • Inside The $350 Million Airbus A350-900 Plane
    0:00 - Intro
This is the Airbus A350-900, an aircraft that delivers capacity and economics while providing the best cabin environment, a speed of Mach 0.89, and a range of up to 8,100 nautical miles. Here is everything you need to know about the Airbus A350-900.
    1:26 - Cabin
The Airbus A350-900 cabin is designed to accommodate various seating configurations, typically offering a standard layout of a 3-3-3 seating arrangement in Economy Class, 1-2-1 in Business Class, and a customizable First Class depending on the airline.
The cabin noise level is usually around 57 decibels, and advanced materials are used to further dampen vibrations.
The A350-900 employs a state-of-the-art pressurization system, maintaining a cabin altitude of approximately 6,500 feet or 2,000 meters during the cruise. The air circulation system features HEPA filters, and the air is refreshed every two to three minutes.
In Economy Class, seats have a width of 18 inches or 45 centimeters, and a pitch of 31 to 32 inches or 78 to 81 centimeters. The Business Class seats generally offer a pitch of 78 inches or 2 meters.
The cabin features full-spectrum LED lighting, with millions of color combinations available to simulate natural sunlight and moonlight. The A350-900 is fitted with high-definition touchscreen monitors for the In-Flight Entertainment system. USB ports and power outlets are readily available for charging electronic devices. Wi-Fi connectivity is also available, ensuring passengers remain connected throughout their journey.
The overhead bins in the A350-900 are quite spacious, designed to accommodate larger carry-on luggage.
The lavatories in the A350-900 are relatively spacious and feature touchless faucets, auto-flush toilets, and antibacterial surfaces.
    4:26 - Cockpit
The Airbus A350-900 cockpit is engineered to optimize ergonomics, offering pilots a clutter-free space to work in, and features a side-stick control system.
The aircraft features 6 high-definition LCD screens measuring 15 inches diagonally. They are configurable to show a variety of data from flight parameters, navigational information, to system status updates.
The FMS integrates a multitude of functionalities like fuel management, navigation, and flight planning, and is fully compatible with RNP criteria, providing high accuracy in tracking predefined 3D flight paths.
The fly-by-wire control system is fine-tuned to deliver precision and stability during flight. Unlike traditional hydraulic controls, the A350-900's electronic interface provides pilots with computer-assisted commands.
In terms of navigation, the A350-900 is equipped with a Multi-Mode Receiver that supports Instrument Landing System, Microwave Landing System, and Global Navigation Satellite System. It also incorporates an advanced Weather Radar that not only detects turbulence but also predicts it.
The autopilot system is highly reliable and offers different modes, including Altitude Hold, Vertical Speed, and Heading modes, among others. The autothrust system complements the autopilot by maintaining the set speed or Mach number.
The cockpit is loaded with safety features, including the Traffic Collision Avoidance System, which provides real-time information on proximate air traffic, and the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System.
Connectivity in the cockpit is modern and seamless, offering the Flight Operations and Maintenance Exchanger (or FOMAX) that simplifies the on-ground operational tasks like data loading and software updates.
7:23 - Engine, Performance Specs, and Flying Experience
The Airbus A350-900 is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines with a thrust range between 75,000 and 97,000 pounds.
The aircraft requires 8,500 feet or 2,600 meters of runway to take off at sea level on a standard day. The engines allow a maximum rate of climb per minute of 3,000 feet or 910 meters, and a maximum cruising altitude of 41,000 feet or 12,500 meters. The plane has a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.89, which is approximately 677 miles per hour or 1,090 kilometers per hour. One of the standout features of the A350-900 is its impressive range. With its maximum fuel capacity, the aircraft is capable of flying up to 8,100 nautical miles or 15,000 kilometers.
And finally, the aircraft has a maximum payload capacity of approximately 130,000 pounds or 59,000 kilograms, and a landing distance of around 6,000 feet or 1,830 meters under standard conditions.
9:23 - Purchase and Charter Price
The base purchase price for a new Airbus A350-900 is $320 million before options.

On the top of the Motors it needs a sharkfin to negate the vortex causing draging, and the top side of the slats top is draging also

Seat comfort is definitely not what they make it to be! The cushion is thin and not supportive, especially after an 8 hour flight!

that's got nothing to do with Airbus, thats down to the airlines and what seat they decide to install from a seat manufacturer. When u buy an Airbus, your buying a plane with just the fuselage and the engines. Everything inside the plane like the seats galleys toilets IFE etc are decided by the airline from separate companies

You must remember ALL Airliners interiors, customer space etc are at the WHIM of the Airline! Not the aircraft manufacturer
