I’m 53 and have modded numerous cars from fox body mustangs to old 60’s steel. My MK7 GTI has honestly been the most fun. I’m still blown away by how much performance and power you can get from a 2.0 L 4 cylinder

Hey Evan, just fyi, the warranty from fcp only applies to the original purchaser.
Also, the catback on it currently is still stock! Just has an apr downpipe and intake from what it looks like so it most likely is also running apr "stage 2" for the tune
Evan needs to get the OBDeleven module so he can change the canbus stuff in the system too.
This 💯 he’ll unlock so much more potential out of this chassis and different fun things you can do with the obd11

Just a re comment if you didn't see even! I have a MK6 GLI (the MK7 is on the MQB platform MK6 is not). I actually did a custom IS38+ HPA swap in my garage on my youtube! FBO I am at 400 crank! Would love to come on out and help ya get an idea on the turbo swap or just let you know how the car will feel when its done (roughly) for some views and content for you! Let me know I'm a huge VW guy and the swap for your MK7 would be a breeze compared to the custom swaps! Love the car btw!!
BTW 10:42 is a turbo muffler delete for the turbo. helps air flow better and noise restriction delete basically as well. it bolts right up to the cold side of the turbo! lmao

For what it's worth, aluminum is used in antiperspirant deodorant, it literally clogs the pores that sweat comes out of. Non antiperspirants don't have aluminum

I enjoyed you youthful excitement. I also drive a mk7.5, (77), never too old to enjoy a well made car. No mods for me, the little rocket is fast enough for me ! Thanks, RickGTI. PS staying sober is never easy, but worth it in the end, trust me.

Paddles should work in every mode.
My guess is the wires got pulled when the previous owner took the trim off to try and hide the edges of the wheel wrap and accidentally yanked the wires when the trim flew off after the clips gave out finally.
Same thing happened to me when I was swapping to the Golf R piano black trim. Those clips are a PITA. Takes a lot of force to get that trim off and if you're not careful. Will come FLYING off.
But yeah, DSG paddles should work in every mode. D auto / S auto, D manual / S manual.

Exhaust setup on the GTI looks like an APR catted downpipe to a stock GTI catback. It may have a resonator delete as well.

Ya another golf R turbo upgrade. They are really solid upgrade but I’d love to have seen a bigger turbo upgrade. It’s going to be a really fun car and plenty of power for a FWD GTi. I’ve helped 3 friends build IS38 GTi. Pretty strait forward for sure! Hope you enjoy your VW experience.
Bro, come to Brazil, we have GTIs running low 6s 60-130mph, stock engine, ecu and trans. We run our cars e100, with mods only in the low preasure injectures. We've been doing it for years, and we some GTIs with more than 500whp! (everything stock). The forejed ones have about 800bhp, and runs low 5s 60-130.
Brazil knows whats up with VW. I bought a Biagio 400 and had it imported from Brazil for my mk6 GLI and it was pretty rowdy making 350 wheel. I know it could've made more. Car got totalled so I ended up buying an A3 Quattro
@@adrianleon1731 yeah bro, I used to have a vw Fusca tsi with biaggio 300, I did 350whp. Now I own a golf gti mk7,5 and I use a haustech hts525, also a Brazilian company. My car is now running 455whp (7,23s 60-130mph), but I’ll get it up to 480-490whp. Biaggios are really good and reliable! It is the best cost per hp you can get, no question! But rn we are using more hybrid turbos, because they are cheaper and make about the same numbers.
By the way, we also make ttrs and rs3 really fast! Our stg 2+ kit makes 510whp and runs about 5,9-6,1s 60-130mph, and our stg 3 makes about 4,9-5,2s 60-130. I know these look kinda impossible, but look for some TH-cam videos and you’ll see!
@@viniciusstfanes1492 I believe you. Those are great numbers. I wish we discovered biagios sooner. In the mk6 gli we can't is38 swap them without changing the whole setup because they run opposite of eachother, so we usually resort to the stock location replacement. Either cts boss, (which nobody is really fond of), xman hybrid stock housing from the uk, and the biagio 400. Few others running the most power out of the biagio now are discovering it can make as much or more power than a normal is38 so its proven to be the superior turbo upgrade at a good cost. Its sad my jetta was totalled otherwise I'd be pushing for more power with fueling upgrades

EQT has a full e85 tuning option. You need to add port injection and you’re good to go. Definitely options out there to run straight e85
