You guys did an amazing job wrapping up the multi-year epic that was Megatron. It seems only fitting that Chad was there film the FA - I thought I might cry as the camera got shaky and you can hear Chad's genuine awe and emotion as Shawn topped out.
Climbing is goddamn magical, the excitement and awe that connects us across generations and climbing disciplines is incredibly special. The smile on Shawn's face when he falls is what brings us all back to climbing.

Rather, I found Drew's breakdown to be kinda relatable. On a side note, the breakdown at the end is the first time any viewers hear his voice on camera, or see the front of his face, which helps transition to the interview perfectly.

I also didn't feel it was a diss because the documentary progressed in the sequence that the climbers did, establishing the boulder, to trying it, to linking it, to finally ascending.
The comments about mental aspects of climbing are so true - I've had so many experiences where my body is saying, "meh, probably not going to be the best day of climbing" but I push myself to a better mindspace and end up sending something completely unexpected. Fantastic video and really exciting success for Shawn!

Best piece of filmmaking that really paints a human portrait of projecting. I love the struggle, and the interviews make the boulder project relatable to the non-pro climber. Love the quality! This is the real reel rock! I hope this Portrait style continues.
You can see how other crushers are just screaming when they fall and then there is Shawn chill and smiling appreciating that he has done a good try. So many things do learn from these guys. When life is hard just chill and be patient, everything will be good.
I love the differences in how even these top climbers do the same moves. It's interesting how Shawn doesn't full crimp on that heinous crimp down low like Drew and Daniel.
Climbing film of the year for me. Shawn is a legend already and has so much time left to push the limits of climbing. I can't wait to see what their group can cook up.

Another great climbing video. Everything about it is good, backstory, climbing footage (minus the send footage, although I kind of liked the end in the sun which made it more cinematic), editing, and the music. Matty's other video I've seen with Isabelle is also excellent. Please keep them coming.
Beautifully filmed, beautifully climbed. Shawn's style is subtly different; I'm inclined to describe him as a "wrapper." His whole body seems to just glom onto things, giving his contact strength a sort of directional advantage. Pretty impressive stuff.
Great boulder. I believe there definitely are more V17 around uncharted or not locked in yet. I've seen this boulder it's a technical beast that being said I've seen some deep down in the hollars of Appalachia near where VA WV meet that are that equally possibly even more of a scale
The Chameleon Megatron should have been filmed and included in this dank production. 9 stars out of 10 for not including. Other than that, this production went crazy

The arrangement between Drew's attempt and his interview was one of the bigger gut punches I've had in cinema recently.
O yeah. Kinda came off as a subtle diss. Like look "Sean is cooler, stronger, better and more likable than Drew." Drew is incredible climber though.
