BMW have done some of the most stunning interiors over the last couple of years. Now up there with Mercedes and Porsche, as far as I am concerned. Audi, on the other hand, looks elegant but also a tad sterile compared to the others mentioned.
I disagree. I've sat inside most new BMWs, Mercedes and Audi. I don't know what it is but Audi's interior feel so much cosier somehow. Like a airplane cockpit or something. The other ones look beautiful but are not as comfy as Audis

@@kirilmihaylov1934 In terms of infotainment, the two iPad's glued together is downright tacky. MB's interior are tacky, gaudy and overly complicated. Audi strikes the best balance, imo.
BMW interior has always been better than Mercedes
@@lotusmadisonson2921 Don't make it sound anything more than it really is. No interior is vastly superior than any other, unless it's paved in gold for that cheesy bling. At the end of the day, whatever makes you feel happy is all that matters.

I've never seen your reviews before. Not have a ever paid attention to the bmw m8 trim before. I've always focused more on the m5 competition. But this car is very sleek and nice as well! They should've released the Competition later with M760li's V12, tuned to provide more power
umm the is the competition model if you haven't noticed? also v12 in the m760li only makes 609hp roughly 24hp less then this thing

Anyway, what I meant at the time was, instead of releasing the M8 Comp with the 4.4 V8, they should've released it with the V12, tuned to provide more power than the Comp's V8.
V12 was pretty capable but BMW only used it in the M760li.
Its interior is reek of quality butttt has no wow factor at all, like a say, an Audi. But i am absolutely in love with the exterior. So badass!!!
@AMG BOYZ i beg to disagree with u. I was in a RS5 last month and i was blown away by the cockpit. The Etron GT suv is in another league. Audi sure knows how to design an interior.
Abinash Pattanaik Audi has to much Touchescreen but the look is good.
I think the BMW cockpit is simple and easy to use.
The Audi fully touch interior is an accident waiting to happen, you cannot make any changes to setting while driving, aesthetically nice but practically, badly flawed.
BMW interior are high quality but function ahead of style. The Amg gt had a lovely looking interior but BMWs drive much better.
Probably better to review a car in daylight rather than poorly lit studio where one cant see it

Damn! The front grill is totally demonic. Since BMW Mi8 this is the pure premium BMW. Unbelievable design. It’s futuristic but unfortunately Thomas didn’t play background music.
I think its got the freshest design in recent years of BMW and looks wayyy better than the other weirdos with inflated grills. This looks wicked cool. I hope this front end should be adapted to lower models like the 5,3, and 2 series

The rear window design is better on the Gran Coupe vs the regular coupe.
Wonderful video as always, Thomas! Nice BMW, except for this fucking "blackpiano"... Why not carbon fiber or another more luxurious material?? This cost more than 150.000 EUR, minimum a better quality

The leather interior is really nice but I would not buy it because of how leather is produced. BMW, MB and the rest need to start making nice cloth/alcantara/synthetic interiors. To me it seems like the cloth interiors are thought of as the worst and cheapest that you're not really meant to buy.

It is by far not. Just look at the facts. The amounts of energy, resources and waste created in leather production cannot even be compared to synthetics. But the most important fact is that for one, animals have to die and you support the killing industry. First, check out what the leather industry is trying to do:

@@NM-wy1xt Saying leather is only a rather meaningless byproduct is a lie. Somewhere it is but somewhere is is more valuable than the meat even and is thus the main product. On top of that the way cattle are treated in most parts of the world is horrible and I would never support that. You should watch the documentary called Dominion from youtube, it's about meat production. If you are not convinced by this, then ask yourself why does none of the big car companies tell where their leather is from if asked? The truth is that it's from the worst places on earth and there is for sure nice S benzes and BMWs out there which have leather that is from cattle that have been skinned while alive and conscious. Synthetic materials is the clearly lesser evil.
Maybe turn on the lights next time. Between this video and that blackest black X6 I’m thinking that bmw knows its new cars are on the ugly side.

I like the coupe more, BMW M8 competition was tested and does a actual 60 time of 2.8 and 124 MPH in 9.9 seconds, just some news in the comments ;)

Biggest gripe with BMW and all their new cars/SUV line-up is they couldn't make a good variation with the interior, the difference is so minimal that they all look the same., for a high end manufacturer of very expensive vehicles that is so disappointing.. like it's almost cheating.
At least with Mercedes Benz and Audi they got the smarts to mix and match materials to make each and every model that much different.
with the exception of the G wagon, MB and Audi interiors all look the same now as well, esp Audi

Sorry I comment for the second time but this car... I have a Q8 and a CLS 53. I got my Merc with such pride and baller feel and now... this BMW! Why it’s so great and cool looking!!! Want it so bad. I checked the M850 GC but I guess the real M will be the best blend of the things I like in the Q8 and the CLS, but sharpened and better AF
I own a CLS 63S from 2016. Sorry, but your CLS 53 is not a real AMG, it doesn’t have a hand built engine. It sounds terrible too. Mercedes have really screwed up the AMG brand with your car, and others like it.
Larry Kippings it sucks, you are right. In this time I sold it for 2017 sl65 and THE feeling... I don’t know much about luxury cars, those 3 are the first I personally own but the sl65... love it.
Horrible colour and too many 'hot wheels' computer generated design details. Interior relatively boring, nothing really groundbreaking

Fantastic design + performance in a higher-end M series comp model. No artificial engine sounds piped into the cabin---you get the 4.4 music via that tuned exhaust!

now where did you get that from? You obviously know more than the BMW engineers on location then who confirmed 600 and 625 hp to me

Still think it doesn't hold a candle to the M6 gran coupe design but still quite good looking but if it competes somewhat with the gt63 then its got its hands full
