    4.28.23 update :
    Hey everyone
    Thank you so much for giving some feedback and saying hello
    Unfortunately, I don’t have the best news. I have to go for another MRI as I’ve recently had some changes and an increase in pain and some other symptoms. I just saw the Neurosurgeon yesterday and we need to get some updated images done to see what’s going on and what potential next steps are
    I’m going to make a video tomorrow or whenever I’m able to get the results of my new images.
    It really sucks and I’m trying to be hopeful And not get in my head. But the chronic pain is disheartening as I’m sure those of you who know what I’m going through can relate to. I wish I had better news.
    I’ll follow up with you all shortly.
    Kim

    I am glad you were on today! You look great! I am almost at 8 weeks. I have tried to walk, but funny, I have a bunion and a torn meniscus and a tight hip, that make it not so fun. I prefer to ride my Peloton. I have been depressed, but trying to hide it. I do virtual fitness training, and 78 year olds can do more than I can right now. You got it...Keep on keeping on. Happy Spring!!

      I hope you’re doing ok. It’s so easy to get in your head. Stay neutral/positive and small steps ❤

    So nice to see you again. I’m 1 year post c4 disc replacement and 5-6 fusion. Like you, I have a wide range of symptoms, changes day by day. I’m just trying to learn to live with it and balance what I want/need to do with how bad I want to feel the next day. It’s frustrating. I appreciate your videos very much. Thank you!

      @@KimWright Kim like you and many others I think we are probably in for pain and discomfort for life.Its how you go psychologically as well not to run your life.Im still in soft collar for 3 more weeks and sticking to my strict restrictions for the best outcome. My neuro was talking about before latest surgery was 6/7 instability and may need a posterior fusion as well at that level.
      Keep up the great work you do keeping everyone informed on your progress

    I had my surgery done at USC and my third level may have not healed. My insurance is Kaiser and they referred me out to USC. I am 18 months and was supposed to have an appointment with my surgeon to check my third level. Kaiser decided not for allow me to see my surgeon and now I have to start all over with a horrible insurance company, that will no doubt try to drug me instead of taking care of the situation. I get numb fingers on both sides depending on which side I sleep on. And yes the ringing in the ears is way louder than before and the vertigo sucks. I also have liquified strands in my cord because Kaiser told me all my symptoms were because I was fat and old so I had a lot of cord damage before my surgery. I’m angry that my insurance has basically screwed me over so they can save a buck.

    Do you have swallowing problems? I started having swallowing issues when I moved my neck the wrong way.

    • @KimWright
      @KimWright  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello :). So typically no I don't have issues swallowing, But yes, if I'm looking up or stretching my neck, then yes.. its weird. Sometimes it catches me but luckily no constant issues.

    HOW DID YOU WASH YOUR HAIR THE FIRST WEEK AFTER SURGERY ?

    • @KimWright
      @KimWright  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I got a really good shower the morning of my surgery and then I think it was towards the end of the week or the following week-I was able to wash my hair, but I have a hose connected to my showerhead. But I had my friend help me. Talk about humbling
      The shower was scary because I actually slipped and had a catch myself and then I ended up getting all freaked out afterwards that I did something. It’s so weird how fear and pain changes your every day stuff. So I definitely had to learn to relax a little bit and not be so stiff.

      It's been 2yrs since my first one and just over a year after the second. Still hurts and stuff. Can't turn my head to the left very well but hoping for the best still. Hope you don't have to have it done. Keep the posts going😊
