      And other thing is that all of the bags were opened already. The angled cut is meant to make the opening smaller, so the clip keeps the stuff in the bag fresh.

      Not even that but you are not supposed to cut all the way either. All his bags were 100% open. For example with the 3D doritos bag was new you would have only cut the angle not the whole thing.
      The "big bag" tests he did were all wrong. But still great examples.

    One of my ex's introduced me to the cheapest option for one of these functions: clothes pins. Mind you, you need to fold over the bag smartly as well. But if I took anything away from that relationship it was that simplicity (and cheap).

    With the bigger bags the bag clip would work best if they were not already open. The intention is to cut at an angle from the start so as to have the perfect size opening for the nozzle.

      Clearly the device would work fine with large unopened bags, cut to fit.
      If you use it on large already opened bags of course it isn't magically able to reseal something you cut open yourself. You literally cut a hole somewhere that isn't designed to be sealed by the product.

      A friend of mine is Italian. Another friend asked me to prove that she was Italian, as she has no Italian accent. "Sure thing", I said. When she showed up I pretended to continue a conversation as follows: ""...so then you break the spaghetti in half so it fits inside the pan and you throw a bar of margarine in the boiling water..."
      He learned how a horrified Italian screams about food done the wrong way. Out came the accent, and a bunch of colorful words.

    For larger bags, you do not cut the top off. You only cut the corner off so that this device can seal what's open. The bags you tested all were 100% open and that is why they didn't work 100%.

    For the bag clip: I grew up using similar ones, but without the spout. You can fold the bag, so it closes it completely air tight, otherwise it won't stop the food from going stale. I can't judge about these specific ones with the spout, but the ones we had, we used forever. The plastic at the closing mechanism seems pretty flimsy, but they held up for many years and worked well.

      @@Freakinreviews I have some of this style of bag clip (without the spout) of varying lengths. They seal bags pretty well in my experience. You just seem to have missed the part of the instructions where it said to ONLY cut the corner off the bag to insert the spout, not to open the bag all the way if it's wider than the clip. If you make the small corner cut a bit too large, depending on the material, you can fold a bit over and still seal the entire opening within the clip. The hole of a fully opened bag of cereal is way too large to seal within the clip, which is why they say to only cut a corner open *instead* of opening the bag fully. These aren't your traditional chip clips, they struggle with openings that can fit your entire hand into them :P

    Pot clip: potentially useful. Bag clip: solves a problem that really doesn't exist. Sauce clips: YES! I think I will have to order a couple sets for home!

    I've had the side plate dip cups for awhile. If your plate edge is to tall can cause issues but I love them.

    Thanks for a helpful video, I bought the clip on dipping cups and love them. Very useful for ketchup, soy sauce, veggie dip etc. Nice when you’re curled up on the couch munching or outside. They are also useful for putting in olive pits, cherry pits , date pits when munching on those and everyone can have their own so no double dipping issues!
    Great “gadget” thanks again

      I was actually bashing on those products. Im also a smker and Ashtrays are always available. I will defend rhe product based on what you say. It is rather useful if you dont have an alternative. Basically its a throw away alternative to hor devoire tray but then price comes in. Prettty cool as a personal thing but im ot sure if its helpfull in the house and as a party favor thats another issue

    My preferred bag clipper is the grip sticks. No pour spout, but they come in a variety of lengths so you can open any bag all the way straight across and have it totally clipped without any gaps.

    I have the first clip, the one that clips to a pan’s side and holds a utensil. I like it and use it often. Note that the black rubbery areas are NOT rubber or plastic but silicone, so it is easily cleaned and heat resistant. Where it really shines is with a big pot in which you are cooking, say, soup or sauce. The upright edges of the pot hold the handles of the kinds of big spoons and spatulas I use, which are either flat or have a circular stainless steel cross section. The drips go into the pot, the utensil handle stays cool, and I save scarce working surface space. The only two potential downsides are interference with putting a lid on the pan and, as you saw, that extra-thick handles on utensils are not compatible. I’m surprised you paid less than a dollar for yours.

    OMG! I’ve never seen these types of clips before - I like the one that goes on the bag and you pour from it. That would be perfect for my cat food bag. And the dip clip is rather interesting too. I always struggle with dips in small cups taking up space on my dish. This absolutely solves that problem! Who thinks up all this stuff? I would never have thought these up even after struggling with the issues they solve. I guess my imagination isn’t up to par. And I can’t say enough how much I love this channel. You make it so interesting. BTW, I had a “Bailey” too. Of the dogs I’ve had, she was definitely a top favorite. She’s been gone 12 years and I still miss her like crazy. 🐕‍🦺

    I'm sure someone has said this by now, but with the spout bag clip you are not suppose to open the bag prior to cutting the bag at the angle. Smaller bags it doesn't matter, as the clip covers the entire bag, but for larger bags you cut a corner out of an unopened bag, thus leaving the part of the bag that is not yet opened outside the clip ... still sealed ;)

  • @Gundesalf

    I know its not within the instructions, but the part of the bag that is longer than the clip can be folded so that the clip takes it whole. With most bags, they are thin enough for it to work. It will provide a better seal to avoid soggy chips or cereal.

    • @Freakinreviews

    • @JimmerzzOfficial
      @JimmerzzOfficial 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Freakinreviews When you buy a bag it is sealed. So why would you not just cut it the length of the clip at a slight angle? Why would you cut it longer than it is and then be confused why it is longer than it. I feel like that product was done dirty. Maybe you were just rushing through that product or something but I was almost ready to yell through the screen at how obvious you are supposed to use it lol.
      Anyway, love your videos! Have a great day man!

    • @Gundesalf
      @Gundesalf 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JimmerzzOfficial As he mentioned, the bags were already opened, not even by him. If the bag is new and you plan to use this product, sure, you can intentionally do the best cut for it, but you can still solve it if you do a straight cut. I've done bag seal with clips shorter than the bag by folding the bag to fit. No fuzz, no complications, no seal leakage.

    I have the dip clips in my house and use them all the time, love them, probably at least two years old at this point.
    I don’t have that dispenser pour style bag clip but regular ones that are very similar in closure style. For bigger bags that are too wide just fold the excess over on itself to seal. Imagine it would work the same with that pour spout style.
