These people aren't good enough or have enough braincells to master movement in those types of games, That's why "movement" in modern shooters devolved to jump spam, yy'ing, camera shaking and slide-cancelling, that's all they know how to do and will fight to the death to defend their single source of validation

The potential with Ubisoft IP additions for this game like For Honor, Hyperscape, Assains creed, R6 Extraction, and more is insane. I really want this game to go on and I remember when everyone thought this game was a horrible idea years ago (when it had tom clancy's in the name funny enough 😂).
Extraction is one of the best underrated games out there it's sad that gamepass is gone now OOF
Omg a For Honor Knight who just carries a sword around would be fucking amazing.
I want a for honor character that has a sword/axe and your Melee instakills when you use your E abilities (sword/axe) with a CD and then the ultimate is using the sword/axe like a Genji and you just go massacre
A modern Assasin/Templar from AC would fit pretty well
R6 classes would be sixj
The lag and hits not registering and dyin behind walls makes it not worth it for me yet. But I’ll give it another go as they update it for sure. Excellent vid and intro!

I think the faction thing is cool, and sets it apart from other games. I think that because it gives the whole class a wide variety of ways to be attached to it, like a style genre. I don't like seeing the same character running around all the time. that's just my opinion, though.
yeah factions allow there to be variety instead the same character like i get sick of seeing the same character because that the only one. Better it be multiple character with the same shit but different looks.

Personally I think factions are a better mover for this game rather than characters cause it allows for more dynamic skins since there’s so much characters from each game there could be fan favourite characters cameo as skins for that faction
I strongly agree. And the ACTUAL cons for this game are not even that bad lol, I can see this game being a trend for years, but come on, it’s Ubisoft 😂
For example, Watch Dogs class (Deadsec) could have Wrench as a skin :D

Honestly I think it’s the factions that make it unique and not just another hero shooter
people only play with the same skin most of the time. Factions are pointless when you can take every faction capacitys just by playing with a different skin

I’m so excited that they added Dedsec as a faction! It gives me hope that they may be considering rebooting the Watchdogs franchise 😮

Nice review, but I think they should keep the factions, adapting the characters to what you want has always been more intersting that being locked in one specific named chaaracters. At least for me

Ubisoft could earn a bunch of money by making 5 individual characters like you said then give those characters skins that are based on the iconic character from the game, like watchdogs is wrench or Aiden, far cry could be Vass, splinter cell is Sam fisher and so on
I think that factions is actually better than individual characters because i just wanna play someone who looks cool but when they have a individual personality that i dont like that withdraws me from actually playing the way i want and also it is finally something new in the ubisoft universe by not constantlya creating new original characters.

i agreed with everything accept the single character idea, people don't have to get attached to a character to enjoy a game. they would prob make more money with good looking weapon skins anyways because at least you can see your own gun.
I dont wanna play as someone else, I wanna play as my faction. It kinda linked where you belong to, rather than to be as individual. It gives a sense of uniqueness.

The nudle map is actually from Watch Dog 2, and tbh thats probably the best choice to have for a map from that game

the movement isn't good, it's WAY WAY WAY too fast for a teamplay-based tactical-kinda shooter like this

Another thing that makes me excited for this game is that there won't be SBMM in casual playlists, only in ranked. SBMM in COD has turned me away for years now, so I'm glad that the XDefiant devs actually seem to care about the casual player experience.
Why is sbmm bad? Doesn't that mean you can get day 1 people and pros in the same game? How's that fun

TLDR: From what I've seen and heard, people don't typically like to play casual matches like they're playing ranked in order to have fun, and I'm looking forward to a change of pace.
I can see why it came off this way, but I don't think SBMM in general is a bad thing all of the time. I actually think that it can be really good in some games. I'm specifically talking about CoD, and how it creates a pattern of having a couple easy games and then switching to matches in which it feels like I can't do anything against other players. Yeah, yeah, I know. Skill issue. But you are right about not having skill based matchmaking creating lopsided matches. However, in my experience, those games don't crop up as often as more balanced and fun matches. Again, that's just my experience, and as someone who doesn't typically play ranked, I don't want to have to play like I'm in a ranked match. Other people have complained about this as well, but the people working on CoD haven't really listened on that front. So I'm glad that there is another game that has similar mechanics and feel to CoD that doesn't have SBMM. Hope this was an adequate response, have a great day!
@@Waffu11 yeah, that all makes sense! I'm used to Overwatch, and when someone can just straight up outplay your whole team in quick play, it feels like "dang, I'm not having fun" but yeah. I guess it's just preference, and that's fair. Have a good one, as well

@@dooddoingstuff macro suggested scrapping the factions altogether. this persons saying they want factions to exist, and have individual characters within them, almost like classes in apex with supports or assaults who share similarities but have their own thing.

@@bao6573 That would be neat, maybe they would share the passive (and maybe ult?) but have their other ability individualised, this would also enable you to tell exactly what abilities the enemy youre shooting at has from just seeing their character model
I'm actually really happy that they DIDN'T add a non-respawn mode like Search and Destroy into XDefiant, at least in the beta. I personally didn't like how pretty much everybody who plays CoD exclusively only ever plays SnD, and those who don't only play Hardpoint as a glorified TDM instead of playing the objective. Respawn gamemodes can be a lot of fun and have a lot of legot strategy to it, especially when devs can't rely on the SnD clone as a plan B.
Also, playing the Beta, there were a lot of hitreg and connection issues. I genuinely hope they can properly iron those issues out before launch, at least.

Malakar was captured and brought before King Arthur, who pronounced judgment on him. In a gesture of mercy, King Arthur spared Malakar's life, but banished him from the kingdom and ordered him never to return.
With Malakar defeated and peace restored to the kingdom, King Arthur and his people rejoiced. The knights were hailed as heroes, and the Sword of Light was enshrined as a symbol of hope and strength for generations to come.

Turn on the auto melee setting. There is a setting that Auto melees when you are ads and point blank. I kept getting melee kills in really close gunfights and I didn't know how. Then someone in chat told me I had the auto melee setting on. 🎉

I adore the intro, but i genuinely believe that if Tom Clancy was still alive, the situation would switch and he would beat them for yet again attaching his name to yet another shooter that had nothing to do with his books.

Finnally a crossover shooter, I dont know why no one has done it, smash and kof do decently well, I know this wont happen but imagine if they added a overwatch or valorant character to this game like how they put akuma from street fighter into tekken, I wish shooter devs were like fighting game devs, most fighting game devs are friends so they can add characters from eachothers games and learn from each other its awesome

I hope this game goes far, i love the idea! I really like overwatch and the way this game works, it looks fun! I tend to be against realistic war games, especially games with real weapon names like call of duty does, but I have high hopes for this game it does look fun.

There will never truly be a call of duty killer given how it's a whole franchise that's been going on for 20 years now but if they fix up the things you mentioned and finalize everything on release it will most definitely be up there in the ranks

I'm actually really glad you spoke about the presentation of the UI and shit. It was very bland like they tried to make it look professional but really that turned me off. The previous presentation of this game before they took Tom's name out was perfect. It's a game that is all over the place and the splash of colors really fit it
I love how this game seems to be taking a bunch stuff from the Division, like the walking robots and a bunch of the maps looking like their in the green poison aftermath of New York

With the factions, i love the concept that if everyone is low key broken, the game is balanced. I hope it won't end up like other faction shooters where everyone became extremely nerfed over time
Game is a work of art, and I can't wait for full release. Most satisfying thing to do is Hijack enemies barriers and health dispensers.
Actually surprised to see Watch Dogs get a class. Honestly quite happy about it, WD Legion was meh but the previous two were very fun for me, I'd love to see a fourth game some time in the future.

I would love it if they add a search and destroy gamemode. It's by far my favorite game mode in all of the cod games, with that gamemode it feels competitive because you only have 1 life, and I'm gonna try-hard if it's on ranked as well, and also I love ninja defusing, it's funny asf and feels so good when you pull it off, especially with some reactions from the players.

the game has potential, but the main problem for this game is that its made by ubisoft, because we all know how their games end up
I do hope they add in some modes that are inspired by their IPs, other than that I’m really looking forward to playing this game and I hope it’s good enough to stay in the spotlight for a long time like COD, Fortnite, and apex legends
in it's current state i would rate it a 7.9/10. if the finished version doesn't screw up that badly and implements cool changes then i'll increase it to an 8.5

Snipers only permanent playlist, use your own attachments. It's one of the things I liked about BO4

Yeah, it's CoD but so much better. It's what i wished MWII and III to be. But i get why CoD players wouldn't like it, especially console.
Little to no SBMM, stricter aim assist, stricter aiming requirement, higher ceiling.
Being good at CoD doesn't mean you are good at XDefiant. On the contrary in many cases.
But it's so fresh, so nice, and yes, feels better than CoD.
Unless you are an unconditional CoD fan - which could mean adaptation time during which you might hate the game and decide to stop playing.
