I think that Bonnie's time-changing ability lets her access *possible* futures rather than just "the future form of x". So when she ages Luffy, she picks a future version of him that's wizened and weak, and then on herself she accesses a "possible future" where she's built more like her father
that's how i see it, there are infinite futures, but only one past. like her power changes her to her future self, but since the future is not set in stone, she can make life choices that change the outcome before turning into her future self. so if bonney was to decide to start working out before ageing herself up, her aged up version would be ripped as hell, if she decided to let herself go, she would turn into the feeble old woman and so on.

I think she was always reading the SBS and stuff, names were just her weakness until around the start of Wano she started putting extra effort in to remember some. But it was totally fun watching from the original video where she complains about Sanji's starvation all the way up to her catching up.
Most likely Kuma’s ears came from his DF, some of the flashbacks where he is younger such as in Bonney’s flashback probably don’t have bear ears since he hadn’t eaten the fruit yet. But by the time he met Vegapunk he already ate the fruit and had the bear ears.
Lucci has been exactly as impactful as I wanted him to be. This man got beat by Luffy pre-timeskip and went crawling back to the world government where he got his cushy job back (Cushy compared to what Luffy and the Strawhats have gone through). No way this man has grown enough to be a worthy challenge for Luffy any more. He should be thankful he got strong enough that Luffy can have some fun with him.

Expect it’s the fact that Lucci still recovered so fast after the first round with G5 and Kaku received basically no real damage when Zoro pushed him back. I’m not saying that they would lose I’m saying that Lucci and Kaku aren’t weak in most people head cannons.
So far my pet theory is that kuma’s mind was swapped out with the programming from the giant ancient robot and his real consciousness is elsewhere. This would at least explain him attempting to climb the redline. Also, I was pretty happy with the way lucci has been handled so far. He’s still as ruthless and brutal as ever but we’re at the final saga of the story, and luffy’s one of the 4 emperors. Enemies can no longer afford to underestimate straw hat luffy or his crew.

I love your Imu= Cronos theory. It fits so many things. Because remember, Cronos was ultimately defeated by his son Zeus (Luffy hurling lightning on Wano) with a joint effort from Zeus' siblings Poseidon (Princess Shirahoshi) and Hades/Pluto/Pluton (Currently unknown, possibly Momo). Zeus had to first free his siblings from captivity, then they were able to help him take Cronos down. Love your theories because you have very unique insight coming from a more literary background than other OP theorists. Don't count yourself short! Bonnie's powers remind me of Soul Stamps from the Emperor's Soul. It's like she's choosing the form of a different timeline. "This is the timeline where EVERY DAY IS ARM DAY" or when we saw her old form at Mariejois, it was the future where she looks like a nice harmless old lady. We've only ever seen one version of her child form though, so who knows if she can alter that. Also I'm pretty sure Vegapunk was lying to Bonnie about the bubble being pain to try and get her not to touch it in sort of a last ditch effort. Kuma can expel memories AND pain, but they're different bubbles
My theory is that Bonney died sometime in the past, perhaps it may relate to Kuma's title of Tyrant King. She is a clone and to repay Vegapunk for bringing his daughter back Kuma agreed to become the prototype for the pacifista (this may relate to how he is apparently a special race and thus perfect for the transformation). The memories will show Bonney that He sacrificed his humanity for her. Alternate theory, considering she apparently looked like the queen of sorbet kingdom when she grew older it could be that she is Kuma's mother who has gotten cloned or his wife. If Kuma no longer counts as truly "alive" it could mean that Bonney used the fruit to turn him younger and the effect is permanent.

Honestly a great observation with the authority hierarchy for the Seraphim. I think you’re the first person to catch this as well! It doesn’t make sense that Stussy can’t give an order despite Lucci being knocked out, but Lucci was able to give an order when Sentomaru was KO’d
I think it's because Lucci was the first person that gave the orders since the start of egghead arc, she can't overwrite it. So I believed this is the restriction that Vegapunk set. The first person of the same level that gave the order can't be overwrite by the 2nd person of the same level. For Sentomaru, since he was the only one with that authority chip at that level, once he's taken out, it can be overwrite.

Imu is literally Umi (meaning sea) backward, and we already know that the sea hates devil fruit users, which represent the dreams of people. That means the sea has been set up to indirectly oppose the entire notions of dreams, so maybe rather than Imu being some celestial being, they are instead a representation of the sea itself.
Some people said kuma's bear ears in the flashback are part of the attributes that come from eating the paw-paw fruit (like bear paws on palms and bear ears.)
I believe that Vegapunk didn't lie to Bonney. He was probably referring to those memories being painful and Bonney took it too literally because she doesn't trust VP right now and "pushing out literal pain" is another ability Kuma has.
I now have a desire to find out why Bonney set out to sea in the first place. Did she always want to be a pirate? Does she have interest in the One Piece? Was it for the biggest motivation of her's that we know of and to merely find her dad? Or was she forced into this life? Did she accidentally eat an important fruit that the government is chasing after? Did she get a bounty early in her life as a child like Robin? So many questions and possibilities lol
Isn't his name Im though and the u is only added through localization of how japanese often pronounce a u when a word ends on a consonant?...I just remember that at first all the fanlations translated his name as Im and that many people still call him that. I'd like to get some confirmation on either spelling because unlike most people I'm well aware that "official" doesn't mean "correct" and Viz loves to paraphrase and take freedom in translation. I used to be an amateur translator and learned from my mother who does it professionally, I learned that paraphrasing is not "translating" and more localization and even worse that translating names is downright sacriligious...if "Zolo" isn't red flag enough I'm still mad about "Duke Dogstorm" and "Master Catviper". I like this, Luffy, the Sun God winning is like a move from a Geocentric model of the world with the earth as it's centre into a Helio centric model with the Sun being central. A shift to modernity as things advance. The ancient kingdom was more like our modern world with their knowledge and tech. The void century was a sort of regression.

Finding out that you’re a clone is for sure traumatic. If this is true the start of 1072 with VP words about a “her coming to life unnaturally” is not only about Stussy but also about Bonney. She is at least the very first character that we see in 1072 directly after VP introduction words.
Man the idea that the memory bubble is Bonney's and not Kuma's is awesome. That would be a great twist! I think her Devil Fruit is simply aging, but with the ability to determine how someone/something ages. Did the person eat lots of food? They become old and fat, etc. Simply put, she can probably pick a mode for someone to age in. Like "Fat old", or "was a fitness freak all their life old", "achieved all their goals old" etc. Although if she did have her memories removed, and that bubble is her memories then it could be the case that her devil fruit isn't an aging thing at all. It could be something else, and she was just told it was an aging thing, and maybe you are right about her being able to change the shape/condition of anything like even formation of the Red Line
As a point of order regarding the authorization chips: CP-0 never actually overrode Sentomaru's orders. Sentomaru ordered one Seraphim to "wipe out those agents" then to "Hold back CP-0." Those orders are vague enough to be open to some interpretation. So taking out Sentomaru wasn't about stopping his given orders, but rather preventing future orders that would be more specific.
14:38 the seraphim have a authority chain for orders. You’re correct with your comments however CP0 has a single authority chip or were issued one as a group. Established this chapter once an order is given out by somebody of the same tier as you in the command chain you cannot cancel it out with another order unless you are higher up on the authority chain. Your Imu being the "King lunerian" kinda does make sense. Imu is covered for a Reason! Even if Oda wanted to keep his/her identity a secret, he's no stranger to simply blackening out a silhouette to us, the readers/watchers. however, Imu is even covered up infront of His/her subjects (the 5 elders). They have a bounty hit on Lunerians. which is Just king since he's the last one. At the end of the day, the Seraphim were basically made for Imu since he's above the 5-elders. King has red eyes. Imu has red eyes. The more i think about it, the more the dots connect in my head 😳
IMO Kuma is trying to save Vivi... he might know were she is, and he is going to sacrifice himself to send her to our straw hats, to miror his part in Sabaody... if that is the case, it would give the crew a reason to star to go back the grand line sooner then we think
You should make a video about fan theories. Here's two of mine: 1 Yami Yami no mi, the dark-dark fruit that Blackbeard is using, doesn't allow attacks to go through it like normal logia fruits. Why is that? Well, it's simple. Some logia fruits have natural weaknesses, besides being submerged into water, seastone and haki of course. Crocodile's is wetness which is how Luffy beat him after wetting himself (this did not come out right but you know what I mean), while Enel's is bad conductors which made rubber-Luffy a natural enemy to him. What about Blackbeard's fruit then? Well, his natural weakness is light! We've only ever seen him fight during the day, outside in broad daylight. We've never seen him fight in naturally dark places (perhaps the darkness he himself creates with his fruit doesn't count). So when someone fights him out in the light of the day, or perhaps in an artificially lit place (indoors with the lights turned on), punching him would be like punching Enel with rubber gloves, or Crocodile after drenching him in water, but if you fought him in the night and away from any light sources, your hand would go right through him like logias ought to be. Additionally, the same (but in reverse) would apply to Kizaru who has the light-light fruit. If you ever punched him in the dark, he'd definitely feel it. 2 The D in the D clan stands for Devil, since the Devil is the enemy of god, and the D clan (Devil) have been said to be the enemies of the CELESTIAL (god) dragons. The D clan are the ones who developed devil fruits many centuries ago (void century). They named the fruits after themselves. They made them in order to fight against what would later become the world government and their leaders, the celestial dragons. However, they still lost and all the devil fruits were scattered across the world as they were reincarnated after their deaths. The D clan, much like every other race in the Onepiece universe, is a race of their own, separate from humans. However, they look identical to humans, in contrast to every other race (long arm tribe, long leg tribe, long neck tribe, dwarfs, minks, fishmen, three eyed tribe, giants, lunarians etc) so what is their difference? Just their name? No. Their difference is that they can eat up to three devil fruits each. Just like every other race has their own unique physical characteristics, D clan members are special in that they designed those devil fruits to be super-compatible with their genes to the point where they can eat three, in contrast to everyone else who can eat only one. That's the truth Blackbeard discovered, since he's obsessed with history. He's not special as to be the only one that can take three fruits. ALL D clan members can do that.
One little trivia to keep in mind: If the Five Elder Stars' (五老星) names all relate to planets, which is likely, then that also implies certain elemental affinities for each of them, due to the Japanese names for said planets. In Japanese, Saturn is called 土星 (dosei). The first kanji of which is "earth", or "soil". Mars is 火星 (kasei), which is fire. Mercury is 水星 (suisei), water. Venus is 金星 (kinsei), metal. And Jupiter is 木星 (mokusei), wood. I'm pretty sure that this is going to be relevant when we finally do see them do something. This is a shonen series, after all. There's pretty much no way the myserious shadowy leaders of the bad guys are just going to be political figures with no actual fighting ability. To account for the other three planets, aside from Earth; Neptune is 海王星 (kaiousei, lit. "Star of the King of the Sea"). Uranus is 天王星 (tenousei, lit. "Star of the Heavenly King", or "Star of the Emperor"). Pluto is 冥王星 (meiousei, lit. "Star of the King of Darkness", or "Star of Hades"). These three, of course, correspond to the three ancient weapons; Uranus, Pluton, and Poseidon. None of this is new information, of course, but it might be worth keeping in mind, moving into the final saga, since this is symbolism that Oda has set up, very intentionally, since the beginning of the series.

I understood that Oda put the information that bonney's powers are temporary on humans not to show what she can do on non human things, but to tell us that she won't make Momo back to a child, or change other people
Pretty sure the Redline has existed for centuries (even though I do like the theories of it being artificial) - the Lunarians were an entire race known to "have lived up there". So even if Bonny's devil fruit was involved in some way like you're speculating, it'd have to be from a previous user.
I think Kuma's real daughter was dying or in a coma or something, so Kuma got Vegapunk to create a clone, and he took out his daughters memories and put them into the clone. I think that's why Kuma was willing to be experimented on, and also why in the flashback he refused to remove memories, yet in the present he removed all his memories. Likely the removal of his memories was a test run for his daughter's. As for Imu, I think the Ancient Kingdom created Imu. Vegapunk mentioned that he believes Devil Fruits are dreams made manifest, and I think Imu was the ancient kingdoms first (or last) attempt. I really like the idea that Imu is kind of like Sauron visiting Numenor. They help the Ancient Kingdom build devil fruits, slowly corrupts people, and in the end leads to the entire kingdoms destruction. Alternatively maybe Devil Fruits came first, Imu was the next step in the process, but was such powerful and monstrous entity that they caused the downfall of the Ancient Kingdom. Either way I think Imu's reason for creating the void century is 100% personal and not just about hiding the ancient kingdom's existence from the public.
I really like your Im (or Imu) is Cronus theory, best theory I've heard since the Five Elders name reveal. The problem with all this speculation about Im (or Imu) is BLACKBEARD. We can't have a final saga where Blackbeard is the ultimate villain and a final saga where Im is the ultimate villain, so either someone besides the Straw Hats is going to fight one while the Straw Hats fight the other, or they have to fight one first.
Blackbeard might go down sooner than expected because currently none of the main characters are even aware of Imu's existence, probably going to be in the final war, but Luffy will fight Blackbeard before the final war, at Laugh Tale, a battle for the one piece. After that Luffy is Pirate King and fights Imu to destroy the world government and their battle will likely result in the destruction of the redline
@@penn_uaf That would be terrible. The entire series is built on the journey of Luffy finding the one piece and becoming king of the pirates. That is the END goal, if Luffy finds the one piece and becomes king of the pirates-but then Oda sends him off an another arc to fight Im, then I’m done with the series. One Piece ends when Luffy finds the one piece, sure there will probably be a mini arc of them sailing back home, Brook seeing Laboon…etc. But if the series doesn’t end with the reveal of it’s namesake, then it will be a massive failure on Oda’s part.
If it's programming. She probably meant an order can only be stopped or overwritten by a higher tier. Like withdrawing an item in the grocery. You can add orders but not overwrite them if you're in the same tier as the last person.
Oda from the very start like to take inspirations from other tales, myths or stories from the past and retelling them with a twist. Usopp is based on Pinocchio and the boy who cried werewolf is an obvious one. And even in the more recent arcs we have Doffy who's based on Don Quixote and Momo based on Momotaro. So usually I used that as the basis of my theory. Egghead, asthetically was clearly inspired by Astro Boy a classic manga about a boy who died in a tragic accident, so his scientist father decided to make an android clone of him with his memories. My theory is that Bonney is the Astro Boy in this situation. She died as a child and was cloned because Kuma can't accept her death.
4:30 Based on Kuma's age, I'd say she's done none of those things, but the fruit can always have had a previous user, we've seen 5 fruits change hands (Suke Suke, Mane Mane, Bari Bari, Mera Mera, Gura Gura), and we know the previous user of a 6th (Gomu Gomu). Either that, or she is not Kuma's blood daughter and she actively chose to look like a little girl on that little hug flashback of them we got, and she is much older. Kuma is 47, so unless he had her at 15 or something like that, she would've been too little/not born when Roger found the One Piece. Oh, and btw, that hug flashback was at least 13 years ago, because Kuma's eyes were still not modified, and he already had robot eyes in the post-war flashback, 12 years ago.
The Seraphim command rule is a bit strange but as I understand it if two people in the same tier give an order, only the first counts and can't be overwritten. Only after that order is fulfilled will they listen to another person. With Sentomaru they didn't stop mid order
what i understood was that the CP0 level was orders through chips unlikely the higher level when its from a person so if Stussy doesnt have the chip she cant give orders
The Kronos theory is also interesting… I could definitely see it being a thing. The only caveat I would say is that if it were true it would slightly clash with the planet thing because I think Kronos was Saturn in Roman mythology but otherwise seems really cool
I also don't get how the orders thing work for sure but I have a couple of ideas although I'd need to know the exact formulation. It seems that Lucci didn't actually counteract Sentomaru's orders, he merely prevented Sentomaru from giving more orders to them: They did allow the Strawhat to escape as ordered by Sentomaru, nothing Lucci did changed that. And yes this is contradicted by the second order ("suppress CP0") but it depends on whether or not there was an indication of duration in the original version (like "in the meantime suppress CP0" or something similar) in which case those orders would also have been accomplished so CP0 would not have countered any of Sentomaru's orders even after knocking him out. So depending on the exact phrasing, it's possible that there's no contradiction. You would need to be higher ranked to cancel an order and the only order cancelling we technically witness are done by higher ranked people like Sentomaru and a Vegapunk (the Seraphim did stop suppressing CP0 but once again we don't know if they did so because they were ordered by CP0 to or if they did so simply because the objective of letting the SH escape was accomplished and the order expired) although it's hard to be certain, it's also possible that it's just a plothole, it happens.
I don't think Bonney is a Big Mom clone, I think she's a Bonney clone. Something really terrible happened to her as a child. Perhaps she was taken by the celestial dragons, so her father pushed her memories out and later put them into a clone. He had himself blanked as a punishment for his sins.
Yeah Oda could be holding back details of her fruit but Oda also thought he had already introduced Kid's fruit power proper into the story but he never actually got around to it.
Love the video as always and your theory crafting! I think enough has been said on Bonney’s fruit so I wanna talk about imu. Blackbeard is the moon, he’s the exact opposite of Luffy. Imu backwards is Umi which means sea, what’s the earth mostly covered by? The sea, so I think Imu is the earth or Gaia. You can also see a model of the planets in Ohara where everything is orbiting the earth instead of the sun (which was believed way back when). I think this parallels imu where he’s the leader of the world, everything revolving around him/the world govt, but when he gets defeated by luffy everyone will be free from their rule and everything will be set right and revolve around the sun as it should be.
Bonny is able to access versions of people and things from different points of different timelines. That's how she turned Luffy into his "everything went wrong"-future version and how she turned into a version of herself that really worked out and got very buff. Also there is a fundamental difference between the bubble that Zoro touched and the one that Bonny touched. Zoros was pure pain from Luffys fights on Thriller Bark. And as Vegapunk explained, Kuma is able to extract many different things. For example memories. So the bubble bonny touched was actually a different color. That's why Bonny said that she knew Kumas power when she touched it. She knew this wouldn't be physical pain but something different. It's probably going to cause emotional pain though. So Vegapunk was right about that.
I think it's an ongoing order that can't be over-written. So if someone orders the Seraphim to help someone escape, once they do that the order is over. The seraphim can then be given new directions. So Stussy couldn't overwrite the current order to destroy the lab because it was an "active order". While Lucci could take over for Sentomaru because his orders of "help the Strawhats get to the rocket" and "hold off CP0" had been finished. At least that's how I understand it.
My theory is that White Beard’s fruit was used to create the Grand Line in the past that is why Sen Goku said that it had the power to destroy the world during the Summit War. Earthquakes and continental movements are a result of tectonic movement. What if Vega Punk and Bonny can look into Kuma’s memory like in the memories in Hogwarts Pensieve.
Her fruit IS time but it also has control over which TIMELINE the body "ages" into... Unlike the ripe ripe fruit which matures a body in the natural "average" way it would as it grows... From the information we have at least She might be able to de-age stuff but do remember that the characters she aged and deaged kept their scars and stuff so her power wouldnt restore a broken stone as an example... So she wouldn't be able to fix the island to see how it was when it was in pristine conditions either... Might remove the rust on stuff and give us a bit more info from better condition ruins but they would still be broken ruins I mean
I would love for you to rereview the Reverie Arc, Levely Arc. There are a couple things you missed to talk about, and One thing in particular. There's a moment where we see the kings and queens at the meeting and Shirahoshi is about to be enslaved by our most hated celestial dragon, only to be saved by another celestial dragon... The same celestial dragon from Fishman Island that the queen saved all those years ago.. And, I think that its a bit surprising that you never talked about a moment like that when it meant the queens actions impacted such an evil person. I'd also love to hear you talk about the connection between this and Fishman Island, Thank you!
I have 2 things to say. One supporting your new theory and the other supporting Bonney is a Big Mom's clone theory. First your theory. It makes sense that Imu is a Lunarian since the Seraphim are based of this race. It only makes sense that the Seraphim, the angels directly responsible for the protection of God, are from the same race as God itself, although impure. Secondly Bonney's theory. I just think it's VERY suspitious that the one girl with pink hair and that looks exaclty like young Big Mom happens to be a gluttony as well. Maybe Bonney is a failed clone because of her height being lower than Big Mom's, and as such was given a new name and Kuma adopted her (and that painel where she remembers Kuma holding her is the moment of the adoption).
Sanji saved Eddision , how are people missing that .. S-Shark fired his beam and then Sanji swooped in after that and saved edison + went to zoro without the others noticing showing his improved speed.
I feel like the can't override the order was just used for dramatics but it doesn't make sense. Her not finding the authority chip makes more sense on why she couldn't stop them.
I think the core theory for Kuma and his current climb of the Red Line is that he is just trying to get over the wall. He was in Kammabaka Kingdom, which we know is on the "Paradise" side of the Grand Line. Luffy, Bonnie and Vegapunk are on the "New World" side. If Vegapunk triggered some sort of "come here" program in Kuma and he is now mechanically going in the straightest line possible from Kammabaka to Vegapunk, he Can't bounce over that wall. He has to climb it. Keep in mind all of what makes Kuma "Kuma" is currently with Vegapunk. The body of Kuma is just that, his body. There isn't Any rational reasoning going on inside Kuma right now, just the cold mechanical calculation of a computer receiving orders. So him going over the Red Line is really more of a "silly Roomba smacking the corner to figure out how to get around the corner." The factor backing this up is that he isn't fighting back against the people trying to shoot him off the wall, he's just entirely focused on completing the task "Get to Vegapunk."
With Sentomaru and Lucci, my interpretation is that the Authority Chip CP0 has can't override Sentomaru (who is higher on the authority ladder) while he's awake and in the vicinity. For their Authority Chip to override Sentomaru's order, he needed to be rendered unconscious. I'm still not too sure why Stussy couldn't override Lucci's order though despite being at the same authority level in the ladder. Lucci was also KO'd so you'd think a new order, even from the same level, would take effect.
Bonney calls the move where she changes the shape of her body "Distorted Future" This implies that her powers can not just age or de-age people and objets, but also access potential timelines In 1072, she brings her body to a potential future where she's very muscular. So it's still time manipulation, not anything to do with ADN My personal theory is that it's not a coincidence that the character that can rewind the time of objets is on the same island as ancient artifacts from the blank century... What would happen if Bonney used her powers on the ancient giant robot?

Going back to a past week and seeing what we thought back then is something that I love about One Piece. I feel bad for those who will read the story once it is done.
Chronos' Roman name was Saturn, so it's unlikely Imu will be related to Chronos since we were just introduced to Saturn. So far we have met Nika (Sun), Pluto (Pluton, also worth noting Pluto was still officially considered a planet when the Gorosei were introduced), Uranos, and Neptune.

On the order situation, with Sentomaru they finish his order before CP0 got control since the seraphim only stop attacking after the Strawhats fleed the place. Lucci finished Sentomaru quick so he could not give more orders In the laboratory situation they had not finish the orders so she could not rewrite it for being in the same level of authority
The order thing, it could be that the task needs to be completed (destroying the labophase) before someone with same authority level can give another order, so it needs some on a higher level to stop it
The ears could just be a "side effect" of his devil fruit, just like his palms. So it could be the flashbacks without ears is before he got his powers.
I think the idea that Imu is Cronus is unlikely since the Roman name for Cronus is Saturn, who is already one of the Gorosei. Unless you mean Chronos of course, who is the personification of time. I think it's more likely that Imu is going to be associated with either the earth or the moon. Personally, I think that Imu will be associated with the moon because the moon is known to control the tides and imu's name backward means 'ocean.'
Pretty sure Kuma's bear ears are part of his haircut =) So he just had a different haircut in other flashbacks. I could be wrong about it but there might have been something about it in one of the SBS (ask the author sections).
I think that Bonnie's time-changing ability lets her access *possible* futures rather than just "the future form of x". So when she ages Luffy, she picks a future version of him that's wizened and weak, and then on herself she accesses a "possible future" where she's built more like her father
that's how i see it, there are infinite futures, but only one past.
like her power changes her to her future self, but since the future is not set in stone, she can make life choices that change the outcome before turning into her future self.
so if bonney was to decide to start working out before ageing herself up, her aged up version would be ripped as hell, if she decided to let herself go, she would turn into the feeble old woman and so on.

I think she was always reading the SBS and stuff, names were just her weakness until around the start of Wano she started putting extra effort in to remember some. But it was totally fun watching from the original video where she complains about Sanji's starvation all the way up to her catching up.

Most likely Kuma’s ears came from his DF, some of the flashbacks where he is younger such as in Bonney’s flashback probably don’t have bear ears since he hadn’t eaten the fruit yet. But by the time he met Vegapunk he already ate the fruit and had the bear ears.

Lucci has been exactly as impactful as I wanted him to be. This man got beat by Luffy pre-timeskip and went crawling back to the world government where he got his cushy job back (Cushy compared to what Luffy and the Strawhats have gone through). Expect it’s the fact that Lucci still recovered so fast after the first round with G5 and Kaku received basically no real damage when Zoro pushed him back. I’m not saying that they would lose I’m saying that Lucci and Kaku aren’t weak in most people head cannons.
So far my pet theory is that kuma’s mind was swapped out with the programming from the giant ancient robot and his real consciousness is elsewhere. This would at least explain him attempting to climb the redline. Also, I was pretty happy with the way lucci has been handled so far. He’s still as ruthless and brutal as ever but we’re at the final saga of the story, and luffy’s one of the 4 emperors. Enemies can no longer afford to underestimate straw hat luffy or his crew.

I love your Imu= Cronos theory. It fits so many things. Because remember, Cronos was ultimately defeated by his son Zeus (Luffy hurling lightning on Wano) with a joint effort from Zeus' siblings Poseidon (Princess Shirahoshi) and Hades/Pluto/Pluton (Currently unknown, possibly Momo).
Zeus had to first free his siblings from captivity, then they were able to help him take Cronos down.

Bonnie's powers remind me of Soul Stamps from the Emperor's Soul. It's like she's choosing the form of a different timeline. "This is the timeline where EVERY DAY IS ARM DAY" or when we saw her old form at Mariejois, it was the future where she looks like a nice harmless old lady. We've only ever seen one version of her child form though, so who knows if she can alter that. Also I'm pretty sure Vegapunk was lying to Bonnie about the bubble being pain to try and get her not to touch it in sort of a last ditch effort. Kuma can expel memories AND pain, but they're different bubbles
My theory is that Bonney died sometime in the past, perhaps it may relate to Kuma's title of Tyrant King. She is a clone and to repay Vegapunk for bringing his daughter back Kuma agreed to become the prototype for the pacifista (this may relate to how he is apparently a special race and thus perfect for the transformation). The memories will show Bonney that He sacrificed his humanity for her.
Alternate theory, considering she apparently looked like the queen of sorbet kingdom when she grew older it could be that she is Kuma's mother who has gotten cloned or his wife. If Kuma no longer counts as truly "alive" it could mean that Bonney used the fruit to turn him younger and the effect is permanent.

Honestly a great observation with the authority hierarchy for the Seraphim. I think you’re the first person to catch this as well! It doesn’t make sense that Stussy can’t give an order despite Lucci being knocked out, but Lucci was able to give an order when Sentomaru was KO’d
I think it's because Lucci was the first person that gave the orders since the start of egghead arc, she can't overwrite it. So I believed this is the restriction that Vegapunk set. The first person of the same level that gave the order can't be overwrite by the 2nd person of the same level. For Sentomaru, since he was the only one with that authority chip at that level, once he's taken out, it can be overwrite.
While I find your theory on Bonnies power intriguing. After Oda forgot that he didn’t reveal Kid fruit for years, find it just as likely he forgot again.

Imu is literally Umi (meaning sea) backward, and we already know that the sea hates devil fruit users, which represent the dreams of people. I believe that Vegapunk didn't lie to Bonney. He was probably referring to those memories being painful and Bonney took it too literally because she doesn't trust VP right now and "pushing out literal pain" is another ability Kuma has.
I now have a desire to find out why Bonney set out to sea in the first place. Did she always want to be a pirate? Does she have interest in the One Piece? Was it for the biggest motivation of her's that we know of and to merely find her dad? Or was she forced into this life? Did she accidentally eat an important fruit that the government is chasing after? Did she get a bounty early in her life as a child like Robin? So many questions and possibilities lol

I'd like to get some confirmation on either spelling because unlike most people I'm well aware that "official" doesn't mean "correct" and Viz loves to paraphrase and take freedom in translation. I used to be an amateur translator and learned from my mother who does it professionally, I learned that paraphrasing is not "translating" and more localization and even worse that translating names is downright sacriligious...if "Zolo" isn't red flag enough I'm still mad about "Duke Dogstorm" and "Master Catviper".

I like this, Luffy, the Sun God winning is like a move from a Geocentric model of the world with the earth as it's centre into a Helio centric model with the Sun being central. @Merphy: Given what VP said Bonney must be a clone aswell and that’s for sure one of the memories of Kuma, which is why he said that there is only pain for her in the paw bubble. Finding out that you’re a clone is for sure traumatic. If this is true the start of 1072 with VP words about a “her coming to life unnaturally” is not only about Stussy but also about Bonney. She is at least the very first character that we see in 1072 directly after VP introduction words.
Bonney might likely be a clone. But quite unlikely to be Big Mom's. But I don't mind being wrong though.
Man the idea that the memory bubble is Bonney's and not Kuma's is awesome. That would be a great twist! I think her Devil Fruit is simply aging, but with the ability to determine how someone/something ages. Did the person eat lots of food? They become old and fat, etc. Simply put, she can probably pick a mode for someone to age in. Like "Fat old", or "was a fitness freak all their life old", "achieved all their goals old" etc.
Although if she did have her memories removed, and that bubble is her memories then it could be the case that her devil fruit isn't an aging thing at all. It could be something else, and she was just told it was an aging thing, and maybe you are right about her being able to change the shape/condition of anything like even formation of the Red Line
As a point of order regarding the authorization chips: CP-0 never actually overrode Sentomaru's orders. Sentomaru ordered one Seraphim to "wipe out those agents" then to "Hold back CP-0." Those orders are vague enough to be open to some interpretation. So taking out Sentomaru wasn't about stopping his given orders, but rather preventing future orders that would be more specific.
Sentamomu really fits given his current role as Child Wrangler in Chief.
14:38 the seraphim have a authority chain for orders. You’re correct with your comments however CP0 has a single authority chip or were issued one as a group. Established this chapter once an order is given out by somebody of the same tier as you in the command chain you cannot cancel it out with another order unless you are higher up on the authority chain. Been watching for a while and really enjoy your content!

Your Imu being the "King lunerian" kinda does make sense. Imu is covered for a Reason! Even if Oda wanted to keep his/her identity a secret, he's no stranger to simply blackening out a silhouette to us, the readers/watchers. however, Imu is even covered up infront of His/her subjects (the 5 elders).
They have a bounty hit on Lunerians. which is Just king since he's the last one. At the end of the day, the Seraphim were basically made for Imu since he's above the 5-elders.

Yami Yami no mi, the dark-dark fruit that Blackbeard is using, doesn't allow attacks to go through it like normal logia fruits. Why is that?
Well, it's simple. Some logia fruits have natural weaknesses, besides being submerged into water, seastone and haki of course.
Crocodile's is wetness which is how Luffy beat him after wetting himself (this did not come out right but you know what I mean), while Enel's is bad conductors which made rubber-Luffy a natural enemy to him.
What about Blackbeard's fruit then? Well, his natural weakness is light! We've only ever seen him fight during the day, outside in broad daylight. We've never seen him fight in naturally dark places (perhaps the darkness he himself creates with his fruit doesn't count).
So when someone fights him out in the light of the day, or perhaps in an artificially lit place (indoors with the lights turned on), punching him would be like punching Enel with rubber gloves, or Crocodile after drenching him in water, but if you fought him in the night and away from any light sources, your hand would go right through him like logias ought to be.
Additionally, the same (but in reverse) would apply to Kizaru who has the light-light fruit. If you ever punched him in the dark, he'd definitely feel it.

The D in the D clan stands for Devil, since the Devil is the enemy of god, and the D clan (Devil) have been said to be the enemies of the CELESTIAL (god) dragons.
The D clan are the ones who developed devil fruits many centuries ago (void century). They named the fruits after themselves. They made them in order to fight against what would later become the world government and their leaders, the celestial dragons. However, they still lost and all the devil fruits were scattered across the world as they were reincarnated after their deaths.
The D clan, much like every other race in the Onepiece universe, is a race of their own, separate from humans. However, they look identical to humans, in contrast to every other race (long arm tribe, long leg tribe, long neck tribe, dwarfs, minks, fishmen, three eyed tribe, giants, lunarians etc) so what is their difference? Just their name? No.
Their difference is that they can eat up to three devil fruits each. Just like every other race has their own unique physical characteristics, D clan members are special in that they designed those devil fruits to be super-compatible with their genes to the point where they can eat three, in contrast to everyone else who can eat only one.
That's the truth Blackbeard discovered, since he's obsessed with history. He's not special as to be the only one that can take three fruits. ALL D clan members can do that.
One little trivia to keep in mind: If the Five Elder Stars' (五老星) names all relate to planets, which is likely, then that also implies certain elemental affinities for each of them, due to the Japanese names for said planets.
In Japanese, Saturn is called 土星 (dosei). The first kanji of which is "earth", or "soil".
Mars is 火星 (kasei), which is fire.
Mercury is 水星 (suisei), water.
Venus is 金星 (kinsei), metal.
And Jupiter is 木星 (mokusei), wood.
I'm pretty sure that this is going to be relevant when we finally do see them do something. This is a shonen series, after all. There's pretty much no way the myserious shadowy leaders of the bad guys are just going to be political figures with no actual fighting ability.
To account for the other three planets, aside from Earth;
Neptune is 海王星 (kaiousei, lit. "Star of the King of the Sea").
Uranus is 天王星 (tenousei, lit. "Star of the Heavenly King", or "Star of the Emperor").
Pluto is 冥王星 (meiousei, lit. "Star of the King of Darkness", or "Star of Hades").
These three, of course, correspond to the three ancient weapons; Uranus, Pluton, and Poseidon.
None of this is new information, of course, but it might be worth keeping in mind, moving into the final saga, since this is symbolism that Oda has set up, very intentionally, since the beginning of the series.
A really fun part of catching up with Merph's OP reviews is to finally get to the point where she's remembering names..... *sorta.* I think one of my favorite things will always be her calling Jack 'Tom', I imagine it was just "Uh he had a generic name that doesn't fit in One Piece at all..... Pretty sure the Redline has existed for centuries (even though I do like the theories of it being artificial) - the Lunarians were an entire race known to "have lived up there".
So even if Bonny's devil fruit was involved in some way like you're speculating, it'd have to be from a previous user.
I think Kuma's real daughter was dying or in a coma or something, so Kuma got Vegapunk to create a clone, and he took out his daughters memories and put them into the clone. I think that's why Kuma was willing to be experimented on, and also why in the flashback he refused to remove memories, yet in the present he removed all his memories. Likely the removal of his memories was a test run for his daughter's.
As for Imu, I think the Ancient Kingdom created Imu. Vegapunk mentioned that he believes Devil Fruits are dreams made manifest, and I think Imu was the ancient kingdoms first (or last) attempt. I really like the idea that Imu is kind of like Sauron visiting Numenor. They help the Ancient Kingdom build devil fruits, slowly corrupts people, and in the end leads to the entire kingdoms destruction. Alternatively maybe Devil Fruits came first, Imu was the next step in the process, but was such powerful and monstrous entity that they caused the downfall of the Ancient Kingdom. Either way I think Imu's reason for creating the void century is 100% personal and not just about hiding the ancient kingdom's existence from the public.

I really like your Im (or Imu) is Cronus theory, best theory I've heard since the Five Elders name reveal. The problem with all this speculation about Im (or Imu) is BLACKBEARD. We can't have a final saga where Blackbeard is the ultimate villain and a final saga where Im is the ultimate villain, so either someone besides the Straw Hats is going to fight one while the Straw Hats fight the other, or they have to fight one first.
Blackbeard might go down sooner than expected because currently none of the main characters are even aware of Imu's existence, probably going to be in the final war, but Luffy will fight Blackbeard before the final war, at Laugh Tale, a battle for the one piece. After that Luffy is Pirate King and fights Imu to destroy the world government and their battle will likely result in the destruction of the redline
@@penn_uaf That would be terrible. The entire series is built on the journey of Luffy finding the one piece and becoming king of the pirates. That is the END goal, if Luffy finds the one piece and becomes king of the pirates-but then Oda sends him off an another arc to fight Im, then I’m done with the series. One Piece ends when Luffy finds the one piece, sure there will probably be a mini arc of them sailing back home, Brook seeing Laboon…etc. But if the series doesn’t end with the reveal of it’s namesake, then it will be a massive failure on Oda’s part.
If it's programming. She probably meant an order can only be stopped or overwritten by a higher tier. Like withdrawing an item in the grocery. You can add orders but not overwrite them if you're in the same tier as the last person.
Oda from the very start like to take inspirations from other tales, myths or stories from the past and retelling them with a twist. Usopp is based on Pinocchio and the boy who cried werewolf is an obvious one. And even in the more recent arcs we have Doffy who's based on Don Quixote and Momo based on Momotaro. So usually I used that as the basis of my theory.
Egghead, asthetically was clearly inspired by Astro Boy a classic manga about a boy who died in a tragic accident, so his scientist father decided to make an android clone of him with his memories. My theory is that Bonney is the Astro Boy in this situation. She died as a child and was cloned because Kuma can't accept her death.

4:30 Based on Kuma's age, I'd say she's done none of those things, but the fruit can always have had a previous user, we've seen 5 fruits change hands (Suke Suke, Mane Mane, Bari Bari, Mera Mera, Gura Gura), and we know the previous user of a 6th (Gomu Gomu). Either that, or she is not Kuma's blood daughter and she actively chose to look like a little girl on that little hug flashback of them we got, and she is much older. Kuma is 47, so unless he had her at 15 or something like that, she would've been too little/not born when Roger found the One Piece.
Oh, and btw, that hug flashback was at least 13 years ago, because Kuma's eyes were still not modified, and he already had robot eyes in the post-war flashback, 12 years ago.

The Seraphim command rule is a bit strange but as I understand it if two people in the same tier give an order, only the first counts and can't be overwritten. Only after that order is fulfilled will they listen to another person. With Sentomaru they didn't stop mid order
what i understood was that the CP0 level was orders through chips unlikely the higher level when its from a person so if Stussy doesnt have the chip she cant give orders
The Kronos theory is also interesting… I could definitely see it being a thing. The only caveat I would say is that if it were true it would slightly clash with the planet thing because I think Kronos was Saturn in Roman mythology but otherwise seems really cool
I also don't get how the orders thing work for sure but I have a couple of ideas although I'd need to know the exact formulation. It seems that Lucci didn't actually counteract Sentomaru's orders, he merely prevented Sentomaru from giving more orders to them: They did allow the Strawhat to escape as ordered by Sentomaru, nothing Lucci did changed that. And yes this is contradicted by the second order ("suppress CP0") but it depends on whether or not there was an indication of duration in the original version (like "in the meantime suppress CP0" or something similar) in which case those orders would also have been accomplished so CP0 would not have countered any of Sentomaru's orders even after knocking him out.
So depending on the exact phrasing, it's possible that there's no contradiction. You would need to be higher ranked to cancel an order and the only order cancelling we technically witness are done by higher ranked people like Sentomaru and a Vegapunk (the Seraphim did stop suppressing CP0 but once again we don't know if they did so because they were ordered by CP0 to or if they did so simply because the objective of letting the SH escape was accomplished and the order expired) although it's hard to be certain, it's also possible that it's just a plothole, it happens.
I can really recommend you watch "The Library of Ohara"'s video on the latest chapters. Because there seems to be a lot lost in translation!
I don't think Bonney is a Big Mom clone, I think she's a Bonney clone. Something really terrible happened to her as a child. Perhaps she was taken by the celestial dragons, so her father pushed her memories out and later put them into a clone. He had himself blanked as a punishment for his sins.

Love the video as always and your theory crafting! I think enough has been said on Bonney’s fruit so I wanna talk about imu. Blackbeard is the moon, he’s the exact opposite of Luffy. Imu backwards is Umi which means sea, what’s the earth mostly covered by? The sea, so I think Imu is the earth or Gaia. You can also see a model of the planets in Ohara where everything is orbiting the earth instead of the sun (which was believed way back when). I think this parallels imu where he’s the leader of the world, everything revolving around him/the world govt, but when he gets defeated by luffy everyone will be free from their rule and everything will be set right and revolve around the sun as it should be.
Bonny is able to access versions of people and things from different points of different timelines.
That's how she turned Luffy into his "everything went wrong"-future version and how she turned into a version of herself that really worked out and got very buff.
Also there is a fundamental difference between the bubble that Zoro touched and the one that Bonny touched.
Zoros was pure pain from Luffys fights on Thriller Bark. And as Vegapunk explained, Kuma is able to extract many different things. For example memories. So the bubble bonny touched was actually a different color. That's why Bonny said that she knew Kumas power when she touched it. She knew this wouldn't be physical pain but something different. It's probably going to cause emotional pain though. So Vegapunk was right about that.
I think it's an ongoing order that can't be over-written.
So if someone orders the Seraphim to help someone escape, once they do that the order is over. The seraphim can then be given new directions.
So Stussy couldn't overwrite the current order to destroy the lab because it was an "active order". While Lucci could take over for Sentomaru because his orders of "help the Strawhats get to the rocket" and "hold off CP0" had been finished.
At least that's how I understand it.
My theory is that White Beard’s fruit was used to create the Grand Line in the past that is why Sen Goku said that it had the power to destroy the world during the Summit War. Earthquakes and continental movements are a result of tectonic movement.

I would love for you to rereview the Reverie Arc, Levely Arc. There are a couple things you missed to talk about, and One thing in particular. There's a moment where we see the kings and queens at the meeting and Shirahoshi is about to be enslaved by our most hated celestial dragon, only to be saved by another celestial dragon... The same celestial dragon from Fishman Island that the queen saved all those years ago.. And, I think that its a bit surprising that you never talked about a moment like that when it meant the queens actions impacted such an evil person. I'd also love to hear you talk about the connection between this and Fishman Island, Thank you!

I have 2 things to say. One supporting your new theory and the other supporting Bonney is a Big Mom's clone theory.
First your theory. It makes sense that Imu is a Lunarian since the Seraphim are based of this race. It only makes sense that the Seraphim, the angels directly responsible for the protection of God, are from the same race as God itself, although impure.
Secondly Bonney's theory. I just think it's VERY suspitious that the one girl with pink hair and that looks exaclty like young Big Mom happens to be a gluttony as well. Maybe Bonney is a failed clone because of her height being lower than Big Mom's, and as such was given a new name and Kuma adopted her (and that painel where she remembers Kuma holding her is the moment of the adoption).

I feel like the can't override the order was just used for dramatics but it doesn't make sense. Her not finding the authority chip makes more sense on why she couldn't stop them.

I think the core theory for Kuma and his current climb of the Red Line is that he is just trying to get over the wall. He was in Kammabaka Kingdom, which we know is on the "Paradise" side of the Grand Line. Luffy, Bonnie and Vegapunk are on the "New World" side. If Vegapunk triggered some sort of "come here" program in Kuma and he is now mechanically going in the straightest line possible from Kammabaka to Vegapunk, he Can't bounce over that wall. He has to climb it.
Keep in mind all of what makes Kuma "Kuma" is currently with Vegapunk. The body of Kuma is just that, his body. There isn't Any rational reasoning going on inside Kuma right now, just the cold mechanical calculation of a computer receiving orders. So him going over the Red Line is really more of a "silly Roomba smacking the corner to figure out how to get around the corner." The factor backing this up is that he isn't fighting back against the people trying to shoot him off the wall, he's just entirely focused on completing the task "Get to Vegapunk."

With Sentomaru and Lucci, my interpretation is that the Authority Chip CP0 has can't override Sentomaru (who is higher on the authority ladder) while he's awake and in the vicinity. For their Authority Chip to override Sentomaru's order, he needed to be rendered unconscious.
I'm still not too sure why Stussy couldn't override Lucci's order though despite being at the same authority level in the ladder. Lucci was also KO'd so you'd think a new order, even from the same level, would take effect.
Bonney calls the move where she changes the shape of her body "Distorted Future"
This implies that her powers can not just age or de-age people and objets, but also access potential timelines

On the order situation, with Sentomaru they finish his order before CP0 got control since the seraphim only stop attacking after the Strawhats fleed the place. Lucci finished Sentomaru quick so he could not give more orders
In the laboratory situation they had not finish the orders so she could not rewrite it for being in the same level of authority
The order thing, it could be that the task needs to be completed (destroying the labophase) before someone with same authority level can give another order, so it needs some on a higher level to stop it

The ears could just be a "side effect" of his devil fruit, just like his palms. So it could be the flashbacks without ears is before he got his powers.

I think the idea that Imu is Cronus is unlikely since the Roman name for Cronus is Saturn, who is already one of the Gorosei. Unless you mean Chronos of course, who is the personification of time. I think it's more likely that Imu is going to be associated with either the earth or the moon. Personally, I think that Imu will be associated with the moon because the moon is known to control the tides and imu's name backward means 'ocean.'
