- Video is of installation of the Lowrence Hook2 4x install as well as the bullet transducer location for shooting thru the hull of your vessel. 5 minute quick setting apoxy glue was used.
Always use painters tape on fiberglass drilling to keep the firberglass from chipping. Make sure to use the proper sized drill bits when drilling fiberglass, and use a pilot hole. After your pilot hole is set you can use a regular drill bit and put the drill driver gun in reverse as to not chip the fiberglass with the bigger drill bit.
Purchased glue from Home Depot.
Purchased Hook2 from Lowrance.com
Thanks for showing the installation of the transducer. I'm needing to do the same installation with my transducer.
I got a couple questions as I’m going thru the install on my boat now.. is there any way I can send you a couple pics to see if I can mount it where I am thinking..?
You can send them right here I think.
@@amigosnano doesn’t seem to let me attach a picture
Excellent! Thanks. Did you need to make sure that the transducer is level? Also, what did you mean by reset? And will silicone work OK?
Transducer should be level as possible. Silicon should work jjust make sure it is the type to bond to your surface. I had to reset the unit itself once the transducer was installed. It was giving me funky readings once i tested it on the water.
@@amigosnano excellent thanks.
How is this working out, does the bildge need to have water in it for this to work
Can the transducer with the down scan function also be installed in this way?
I have no idea. I'm assuming yes. Call Lowrence and ask them. That's what I did.
I think you need another bump brother…. No offense intended. I do too
Hi, just purchased the same unit and watched your video on gluing the bullet transducer to the inside of the hull, great video thanks, did it work well in the water and can you do a video on the reset you had to do to get it working. Thanks
Sure thing on the reset. I just looked up someone else's video, but I can also do one. Thanks!

Did the bullet transducer work Ok after you glued it to the floor of your boat?
@@nigelgregory5857 Yes it did. I have gone out 2 more times and it works perfectly.
I always thought the transducer had to be physically in the water for it to read
@@ericmaples2687 That is true for most of them, however, this particular one does both shoot thru Hull and can be mounted at water level on the transom. I had a hell of a time trying to verify this, but it's true and it works great! I called Lowrence to verify.
Hi dear I Glue it in but the screen depth is changing continusly
Reset the unit. It might have to recalibrate. I looked for a video on how to reset it. Worked for me. Wait till you get it on the water for accurate depths. Mine also does not always read perfect all the time and depths change. Overall it give good readings
I reset It en take it out on the leak in Shallow water it reads are not constand in deeper water it Works fine do you have a fix for shallow water. It reads are than 0,7 meters for a couple of seconds en than it goes fliping
@@yarnozijlstra753 I do not have a fix, but I know you can off set the depth in the settings to help compensate for your hull in the water. Try that. Remember it is a thru hull read so it is not always going to be perfect reading thru the fiberglass. Once I'm in 5ft of water I don't really need it to read anymore, I know I'm on the shore. Fishing might be different.
@@amigosnano yes that is true thanks
Images of mountings?
What would you like to see? The transducer glued in? Or the unit morning on the dash?

Transducer glued in Thank you
