Mate this is one of the best albums to come out of Australia, this whole album is so fucking 🔥🔥 from start to finish and if you remember the album came with a DVD as well, I listened to this on repeat back in the day and still today 🤟🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Aussie Rock and roll was at it’s best in the 70’s-80’s. INXS, AC/DC, skyhooks, Divinyls, Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs, Church, The Saints, Sunny Boys, the Angels, Hunters & Collectors… to name a few. Pub bands were big. 90’s-200’s another resurgence with Silverchair, Powderfinger, baby Animals…etc… too many to list but we had a fantastic music scene .
@@sassysweetx8096 Love Divinyls. I saw Thorpie just before he died. One of the more recent Aussie bands I'm into is Psychedelic Porn Crumpets from Perth.
I discovered Powderfinger when this song/music video came out and was played on Canadian music channel. Few days after discovering them I found out they were touring and had a one stop in a city 2 hour drive from me. I dropped everything and went..They were amazing on stage and since then I bought every album they made and was lucky enough to see Bernard Fanning on his solo tour when he was visiting my city. Powderfinger was indeed one of the best bands that ever existed.
No kidding! American here, I just found out about them and they're great! Sadly I think the States have moved away from rock as a mainstream genre, even though there's still so much good rock being made (Australia & otherwise)...
I heard them the same time Coldplay came out. My Happiness was played on Alternate radio but nothing else hit the states. We do get a ton of Coldplay the last 2 decades...rather have Powderfinger.
I remember skipping work to see Powderfinger play a free outdoor concert outside the TD tower downtown Vancouver in 2006. It was a fantastic show! While there, I bumped into 2 coworkers who were doing the exact same thing as me!
Amazing, great camera work, too. These guys prove you don't have to be heavy to rock. The drumming makes this track for me + the solo after the 1st chorus. You can hear they're not joking when they say in the book that they rehearsed for 4-6 hours a day when they weren't on tour for almost 20 years. There's some serious skill there but they make it sound easy.
Soccer is the biggest and most important sport on Earth and is massive in over 240 countries. Every nation on Earth loves soccer. Rugby league is big in only 4 countries. Its a minority sport in England, France, Lebanon etc. Soccer will be the most popular sport in Australia by 2050 fstvnv

Hmm. 18 ARIA awards, 23 tracks in JJJ hottest 100 indicates a lot of people rate them
Agree, world class rock n roll, if Nickleback, Train and Coldplay can crack America then Powderfinger should have.
So many Aussie bands are. They are not commercial enough to be played on radio
It's the old 3min 40 rule. Too long for radio
I’ll be honest. They are fantastic band. Albums are world class I think. They were boring every time I saw them live. I don’t know what it was.
They were and always will be fucking massive in Australia. A lot of great Aussie music never kicks off overseas.
This is why I love Australia! from Brazil
