You know you've got something good when it already looks great before you start turning it. I actually liked the steps and layers, you could have kept it like that but the finished product is awesome.
Wow Elias that is a beautiful piece. I must say, when you put the second ring on I thought noooo it skew. Then I realized it’s meant to be like that ☺️
This is definitely the largest and most complicated thing I’ve ever seen spun on a lathe. Must have taken forever to make start to finish but it looks absolutely beautiful.
That is fantastic. But this is beyond the skill level and available tools for the average home turner. So I guess to see such work we must return to your channel :)
I noticed this is a relatively old video. This is the most amazing segmented turning I have ever seen, it is simply beautiful. You must be very proud and with good reason! I do have just one question, after producing such a masterpiece, how are you ever going to come up with anything more spectacular? You sir are a master!!!
You should make some jembi's, bongos, or Congo's, they would sell for a fortune! Hardware is readily available, and that my friend is very very beautiful piece 10/10
Riktigt coolt. Kul att se en svensk youtuber inom detta området också. Även en originell idé, har faktiskt inte sett någon annan göra detta (i denna storleken)
@@EliasKlingvall Simply amazing craftsmanship! I've just recently started watching woodturning YT vids. This is by far the best one yet. I sub'd....peace ;).
What would you charge for something like that? I imagine it would sell for a good chunk of change? Very good job by the way! Such A beautiful piece of art!
Thank you James! After I glued the rings on the MDF board I put a few coats of epoxy that I then sanded down so the rings are glued together with epoxy
Thank you Sonny!! Because the top was so heavy I hade to have the tailstock on it or else it would hit the bed of the lathe so I put the finish on when it was off the lathe so I could get the finish on all of it at once
If you work for someone else, you deserve a raise! Even if you don’t, you still deserve one.
You’re way too nice Lisa, thank you for all the nice comments
Every thing you create is stunning.

It’s really cool how you can see the slight changes in rotation speed with the speed-up

What would you charge for something like that? I imagine it would sell for a good chunk of change? Very good job by the way! Such A beautiful piece of art!
Thank you very much!! For this I would charge 2500$
Sweet as f@$k!
That is really cool, did you not glue the rings in the top together for any reason?
Thank you James! After I glued the rings on the MDF board I put a few coats of epoxy that I then sanded down so the rings are glued together with epoxy
I see, that is a nice table, I wish I had a bigger lathe now!
The wish for a bigger lathe never goes away
... that's the easy bit ... how did you make all the concentric wood circles
Thats awesome 👌. Mind if I ask what you would charge if you sold it?
I think we’re witnessing the next Kyle Tooth. SUBSCRIBED!!! Fantastic Job!
Quick question: why didn’t you add the finish to the piece on the lathe?
Thank you Sonny!! Because the top was so heavy I hade to have the tailstock on it or else it would hit the bed of the lathe so I put the finish on when it was off the lathe so I could get the finish on all of it at once
Elias Klingvall makes total sense. Thank you for the reply.
Magnificent!
Thank you Alex!!
Waxing bottom usg been in industrie for over the 20 years

Thank you Brian!! I think it took around 50 hours
